So this is good place near to the underground station, so being an Indian tourist I didn't miss india when I used to dine here.
I visited couple of times and had ordered aloo palak with nan and masala dal with boiled rice on both occasions it turned out to be good.
So i would recommend to visit this place
We practically broke down the doors for lunch last week and were greeted by a very friendly man who ensured we had a great experience, despite the pouring rain outside. The food was authentic, fresh, spiced right and tasty. Would definitely recommend.
Strangely we were the only 2 that evening to dine.. blame it on the crazy rains, but was good for us.. we got good attention..

We visited Maharaja restaurant as it was one of the most nearest Indian restaurant to the place where we were staying. The restaurant is very small in size, but that doesn't matter if you get delicious food. The staffs were very courteous and polite.
We ordered Hyderabadi Bhuna gosht, Murg Gilaafi, chicken tikka masala, king prawn in curry , chicken biryani and Tandoori Roti.
The Biryani was quite bland . The king prawns and chicken tikka masala were perfectly cooked and the texture was wonderful,but bhuna gosht was my favourite. Bhuna gosht was extremely tender and the subtle spices and flavours took the dish to another level.
Overall , my experience of eating at this restaurant was absolutely delightful
Amazing Indian Food.We were touring London and at night wanted to Dine in and nearest to our hotel we found this lovely restaurant.We Enjoyed the Pulav and Chicken Jhal Frezi.It was Delicious and satisfactory.Great ambiance and service.
I was with my friends on the first day after travelling. So I ate on the road and only had a coke. However, I tasted some bites at everybody else and the food was fantastic!

The staff was courteous and prompt. The chicken vindaloo was rich, savory, and spicy. Maharaja prepares a delicious meal in simple but elegant white table cloth setting.

Service was welcoming and prompt. The chicken Korma, vegetable curry and chicken Tikka were delicious. Portions we more than enough.
Had a lovely experience at maharaja dining solo on my one night in London. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food and mango lassi were perfect!
We had dinner and it was a pleasant experience, we ordered chicken tikka and lamb and both were delicious. My only problem was the my partner does not like spicy and specifically asked for a 0 spicy dish. And the lamb was a bit spicy. He could eat it but was not what a 0 spicy means for us.

The food here is Amazingly good, we ordered the set meal for 2 with the vegetable and meat samosa starter with King Prawns the main. The staff were great and gave us extra poppadoms and my wife ordered and extra Pershwari naan, which was literally the best version we have ever tasted anywhere in the world.
Keep in mind they don’t serve alcohol, but the food is so good you won’t care!

Honestly, it was good! Service was great with a good vibe. In Italy, chicken tikka masala is usually more spicy, but I appreciated Maharaja's cousin.
2 plates of chicken, 1 rice, 2 nans, 1 big water was 42£, about 50€. Quality was there, price too!
The most authentic Indian I've ever had. Fantastic lamb vindaloo, cooked with so much heart and care by the long-serving chef.
Service was outstandingly friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable to pair with the food, made for a super enjoyable night!

Delicious food and great vibe! My friend and I found this restaurant via the forks food festivals, where you got your entire bill 50% off! My personal favorite is the fish curry—the fish is quite fresh and is cooked to just the right amount! Coconut nan is absolutely another level—it’s slightly sweet. And if you dip it into the curry, the combination of both flavors is quite amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We come from Malaysia where we are spoilt for food with rich flavors and Maharaja was up our alley. The owner was warm and friendly and service was fast despite a full house. Space was tight but it felt cozy instead of claustrophobic. If we ever near the area again, we will definitely drop by.
great food, great service, great atmosphere. the service was excellent, very polite, and even ran out of the restaurant to return my sweater when i forgot it. my one minor quibble is that i asked for my food to be as spicy as possible, and i managed to finish with neither a sweat broken nor a tear shed. however, i’m chalking that up to my being a white boy from america and the cooks not wanting a terrible customer experience, so it’s not a major issue for me. would absolutely recommend this to anyone.
