We had a deal from Groupon, £20 for a 3-course meal for two. Isn’t that great?! We ordered Crostone alla Pizzaiola and Bruschetta for starters, pan fried seabass and strozzapreti amatriciana for mains and tiramisu for dessert. So how was the food?. The starters were delicious, both were wonderfully flavoured and the tomatoes were fresh. It was a good sized dish, a perfect palette cleanser. The mains were equally good but not amazing. The pasta dish was cooked al dante and covered in cheese, which was yum. The fish needed a little more salt to help reach utter deliciousness, but it was nice and flakey and not fishy. Last but not least, the tiramisu, our waitress hyped this dessert up so much we HAD to try it. It was my first time trying a tiramisu so I wasn’t sure what to expect but the sponge was nice and soft and the flavour of the espresso was prominent but not heavy. It had a slight bitter taste but it wasn’t unpleasant, the creaminess of the entire dish helped to soften and sweeten the dessert.

Simple italian food with a milanese flair. Anything tomato based seems to be done really well. We enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the simple flavours that really shone through in the bruschetta. Buffalo mozarella bread was amazing! Soft cheese with creamy tomato, and very light flavour.

My main was not as satisfactory. I opted for pasta carbonara and felt that it was too egg-y and there were chunks of egf everywhere and not much of the thick and rich creaminess from the yolk. Dessert ended the night well with a soft and delicate tiramisu which is well worth a try.

Prices are reasonable and the customer service is good.

This is a cute authentic Italian restaurant a 2 minute walk from St Paul's station - it has a nice atmosphere and good hearty food. The restaurant quite frequently offers discounts through its website and through groupon/wowcher etc which makes it an absolute bargain price. I have been twice now and it has always been busy and great service on both occasions.

La Rucoletta is located very centrally between St Pauls and Bank stations in London.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment that we walked through the door and looked after really well throughout the whole meal. Service that we received was warm and friendly.

The restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere.

Excellent food (so much better than the chain restaurants).

Overall the pricing was value for what you get considering the quality and the wines are excellent as well.

This is an unassuming local Italian in an unassuming street near St Paul's. However the food is not unassuming at all. A cosy, traditional deco this place was buzzing on a Thursday night. We opt for some delicious huge green olives to nibble on whilst we looked through the menu. Then small pastas for our starters, the pasta was homemade & my beef & wild mushroom sauce was rich & moorish, my friends carbonara was divine, and not sickly creamy like some carbonaras can be. We both opted for the sea bass with new potatos & pancetta, the fish skin was perfectly crisp and the fish itself was cooked to perfection and went so well with the pancetta & caper dressing. The wine list is also brilliant we shared a fantastic Moltipulcino DOC red for £20 - bargain! If your near the city of London this place is definitely worth a visit.

Authentically Italian dining experience. (1) Good variety of Italian dishes (2) Service was prompt and attentive. There are some very good Italian waitresses and willing to engage with guests / we had an Italian amongst us (3) Location is great and in Central London (4) Price is higher than normal so value is a bit on the lesser side (5) Food was tasty although my main dish was a bit salty - the appetizers were good and main dishes had veggie options - although the pasta was a bit too “al dente” for me. Overall a good option for business lunch if you are in the area

I came to London and although London is beautiful I’m not the biggest fan of the food here. However if you’re looking for an authentic and I mean authentic Italian meal come to Rucoletta. The food was a 10/10 the staff super friendly! I recommend the lemecello spritz! This is a must come to place in London

I always enjoyed the food here! I had the homemade pasta with prawn, mussels, clams, etc.. The taste and texture of the pasta and sauce were amazing and the seafood was really fresh! My fiance had a medium rare steak which was cooked to perfection! The calamari and whitebait tempura were really tasty too. Shame I couldn't have dessert because I was already full! Would definitely come back again. Staff are nice. Facilities are clean.

The pasta here brought me back to Rome. The dishes had not been over-commercialized, and the chef said the sauce was from hours of slow cooking. My partner enjoyed their weekly special, tomato sauce with octopus over pasta. Not too greasy or oily, but still satisfyingly tasty. The appetizer needs some improvement, however.

We had one of the best experiences dining at Rucoletta. Having a good time in a restaurant is not just about good food it’s also how well looked after you feel, the food was fantastic and I’m certainly making more reservations here! Frederica is exceptionally talented not only did she make informed recommendations by sharing unique features about a dish, how it can be paired with a wine and even how it is sourced but she is also extremely customer centric that left us feeling absolutely at home with our feet up! Thank you Rucoletta and dear Frederica ❤️ I felt absolutely loved, well fed and will always have fond memories of this evening!

A cosy bistro-like Italian restaurant with high quality authentic food andreallygood service. . (Home made pasta - I had the lamb ragu which was delicious and my son and I shared the tuna sashimi with avo starter which was also outstanding). Can definitely recommend Rucoletta and it is well priced for London.

Genuinely the best pasta I've eaten to date. I've never been to Italy but if the food is half as good I want to move there. The service was wonderful and friendly. Will definitely be back again. So so good.

Dropped in for an early evening meal with my wife. Really enjoyed our meal, great service, wine selection and all in a very welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you’re in the city and want to avoid the big restaurant chains.

Really tasty and good type of homemade Italian food. The price is a little bit higher but the quality and service is fast and correct. This was the only restaurant were I've ordered a dessert twice. Panna Cotta, I highly recommend! If you are already the Bank district, I recommend to go!

The restaurant was crowded even if it was weekday and daytime. Regardless of such situations, staffs were friendly and their service was exceptional. And of course food was delicious. The price is a little expensive but taste is worth the price!

A lovely small Italian restaurant, who's staff were very accommodating and allowed myself and my family to go to the quieter downstairs area. Wonderful food, and perfect portion sizes. Spaghetti and clams were very nice.

Only drawback, maybe food needed to come out slightly quicker. But then again they were busy. Staff excellent, food amazing and the top floor has such an amazing setting!! Definitely going back again :)

Delicious lunch and charming service for four of us in a congenial atmosphere yesterday - olives, penne arabbiata and lemon sorbet were particularly good. We all enjoyed ourselves.

Authentic Italian in the square mile. They accommodated a party of 9 (we booked in advance) flawlessly in their top floor room which nice and airy. The food was very good the service was friendly. The wine was good too. All in all we spent around £55 per person having 3 courses which is fair enough given the location and the quality of the food. Most of their pasta if not all of it is homemade. The cuisine seems to be prevalently from the Neapolitan area which makes it particularly interesting even for Italians. We had a very nice evening overall and I will definitely be back.
