🍴 @tanakatsulondon is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants. We always order the original Chicken Katsu Curry and the delicious Chicken Katsu & Chicken Teriyaki 🍗🥢 But today we also wanted to 'change' and tried for the first time Chiken Katsu Set, with pr
Literally one of the best experiences we had in London. Amazing food and amazing service. Our waitress Ting was so so nice and kind and recommended amazing dishes. We had the gyoza, the katsu mix, the karaage and the salmon teriyaki and all of them were so insanely good. The gyoza and the salmon wer
The place itself is rather casual and unseenming.
However, all the dishes I've tried have were just terrific. Since my first visit here, I've visited almost every other day I've been in London. I've grown especially fand of their Chicken Katsu and Salmon Teriyaki :)
All the staff seemed genuinely
Great food and service! Would highly recommend.
We started with the sushi which was good value for the price point. The prawn roll was really enjoyable and each piece had a different piece of fish on it.
The mains were really strong with the chicken katsu being really crispy and the salmon teriyak
Tanakatsu are indeed specialists of Katsu - I went with the main Katsu curry dish and was blown away by the taste of the dish and the portion size. Loved that there was infinite cabbage salad, you could ask for more throughout the meal.
They also have a delicious dressing which goes so well with th
Some might say, this place is the best Japanese katsu place in the UK, and I agree. Great menu (simple yet effective) plus good portion reflecting the price point. It is not cheap to dine here, but not expensive either, which makes me come back often. Delicious food, reasonable price, great service-
we went on a weekday evening with no booking and got a table.
really simple menu and also everything was basically the same price.
we ordered the pork katsu set and upgraded one of the pork sets to a more expensive pork but we couldn't really tell the difference between the two so I wouldn't say t
First time and what a lovely neighborhood find.
We arrived with an hr. before closing and staff was friendly and seated us right away.
A nice selection of katsu, sushi, sashimi, and sides.
Everything tasted yummy. Katsu was crispy, sashimi was fresh and with a good variety of fish and vegetables. Th
When tanakatsu say they specialise in katsu and teryaki, they really mean it 👀
Absolutely LOVED how you could combine any version of teryaki or katsu on one plate. Swipe to see the menu 👉
They said the cabbage was bottomless, which would have been amazing, but once the food was put down, the servi
Wow! It's a real authentic Japanese place which is quite rare to find outside of Japan! Food is delicious! It's cooked and served "as in Japan", honestly. I used to live in Japan for a few years so I know how food should look and taste. :) I recommend this place. Add it to your TODO list if you have
Minimalist, efficient and delicious katsu house in Angel. Easily the best katsu curry i’ve had in London. The menu and venue are no fuss and the service was friendly and swift. Will definitely recommend this place!
The best katsu curry I've had in London! The chicken karaage was great too. A small, intimate restaurant with beautiful decor. Great whiskey menu. Will have to come back and try the sushi.
Amazingly tasty dishes, good service really good prices for the food. Complementary tea... don't know what else you need.
Perfect for a work lunch. Always feel welcomed. The taste is on the heavy and salty side, but compliment well with the unlimited refill of the veggies.
Great meal here tonight
One less star because we got charged for curry sauce £4 extra. We asked the waitress before ordering if we will get katsu curry and teriyaki in our order and she didn’t say it comes without sauce ( so so so dry without it). Chicken seemed a bit over fried to us.
Nonetheless
Tanakatsu could change their name to heavenly Katsu. This has to be hands down the best Katsu curry I have had! For the price and portion it is very substantially crafted.
The sushi and sashimi is average. Nothing much to write home about.
Would definitely come back to quench a Katsu craving. Serv
Amazing Food! Best Katsu Curry i ever had in London. Very tasty fresh food at good temperature. big portions. Staff very friendly. Worth the price ! Try it. I highly raccomande it in case you are looking to have a very nice curry.
Katsu chicken & teriyaki salmon was very delicious. Pumpkin croquette was nice and crispy. Tuna tataki had a very nice sauce, I prefer the tuna to be thinner. Rainbow roll wasn’t special, it needed some sauce. Dora-yaki was just two pancakes with custard in between. Good staff. Very fast service.Nic
