They live the dream: they drink beer, they get massaged...they even get to listen to classical music - and aside from the whole being slaughtered for their meat part.. they have a pretty cushy life. It's this pampered life which gives wagyu beef it's distinctive flavour - and it's hefty price tag...but I've found the perfect place if you're after something a little more purse friendly: Soho Joe

Well amazing value!! Had dinner on Monday with a friend and we had a pizza and cocktail £10 OMG! Cocktail where great well made. Pizza was big for the price and was yum! Service was good but they do make you order and pay at counter (you know I hate that lol) but all where friendly. So had a great meal
AMAZING pizza. Great value AND friendly staff. Soho Joe totally has it covered! The pizza was authentic, fresh and thin (without being too crispy) and even better, we got to sit in the sunshine. A great lunch. Seriously. Go.

Good value family run Italian in the heart of Soho. Great for lunches - particularly like the freshly made 12" pizzas (£4 Margaritas on Mondays) and their meat lasagne.
As far as the Dean Street Pizza Showdown goes, it is hard to compare Soho Joe and Pizza Pilgrims. Both casual dining concepts with back to basics traditionally baked authentic Italian pizzas... you'll have to wait until the final showdown to see how I rate them and compare them against each other. I might just have to make a couple more visits in the meantime!
The day after Pizza Pilgrims's opening I went to Soho Joe for lunch, I was impressed there was queue too (like Pizza Pilgrims) but they were quicker and we managed to have a table and served quite fast.
Very good deal price/quality £7 each pizzas from their menu.
Pizza were good, crust was perfect, there was nothing left in my plate.
As a starter I had the mixed salad with chorizo, roasted vegetables, it was nice and refreshing.
This place offers a perfect dining experience. It offers Italian food, speciality being the pizza which is offered in quite a good quantity. The ambience is quite wonderful, providing a feeling of exclusivity to it. The food was brilliant and was priced brilliantly as well. Along with the main course, the drinks were also decently priced. The overall experience was just lovely and would surely come back here again.
This restaurant has great food which is offered at quite reasonable prices. The service is quite good as well. The major aspect that makes this place stand out is the price at which the food is offered which is amazing and is so far the best place I have tried which serves food at perfect prices. I love coming back to this establishment and is one of my favourite hangouts.
The place offers great pizzas at affordable prices. Even though there is better pizza available at a lot of other places, the price makes it worth a try. The salads are also good here. There is self-service here, and you will be required to place your order at the counter.
The restaurant is a good place to visit for a good dinner. The ambiance is warm. The food is of good quality and very reasonably priced. The pizza here is a must-have. They are mouth-watering and absolutely delicious. The side salads are also great and so are the breakfast specials. I would definitely recommend this place.

The menu although is pretty nice, but the fact that they don't serve all of the items mentioned, it might be a letdown.They specialize in pizza and the charges are also pretty light on the pocket.You should try the chorizo topped variant as this was my favorite there.
The drink section is also extensive and again the prices are not unreasonable.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and had a wonderful experience there. The service is prompt and the food is also delicious. The restaurant is cash-only and does not accept cards. All the dishes I ordered were very appetizing and delicious. I will definitely visit this place again to try their pizza, which I could not try this time.
A place well themed for group outings in my perception. The music is vibrant and blaring while the candle lighting giving an offsetting edge to it! Not for a romantic meal though! Coming to food, their Vegetarian antipasti was the HIGH of the whole meal at this place, extremely delicious. Pizza was also very well cooked, huge and filling! A great place!
I visited this place with a few friends for a take-out meal of pizzas. The pizzas were delicious and very delightful. Also the service is great, and while we waited for our pizzas, we were offered a free beer each, which was a great surprise. The staff is very hospitable and chatty. The ambiance of the place is chic with bohemian influence. I would definitely go back.
This place very pleasant and there's a personal touch to everything here. The food is amazing, and the servings are just enough for one person. The menu is simple but nice. There is a good variety salad and sandwiches to choose from. Overall, a very delightful experience.

A place from where you can grab a quick dinner and head to theatre, visited this place twice and it never disappoints! A very vibrant and lively atmosphere. Coming to the orders, we went for a pizza and pimms. Delicious and well cooked. On the upside, the prices are very reasonable as well! We are back here always!
This is a really great place if you are looking for a quick bite because the service is pretty hasty and quick. They have the best pizzas and burgers, with very low prices. The restaurant can be a bit cramped, so it is not a place to relax. Overall, it is a very nice place and I definitely plan on going again.

I went to this place and ordered pizza and some other drinks to go along with it. The service was unbelievably quick and the the drinks were pretty reasonably priced. Their policy is to accept the payment in cash only, however, the space is quite limited and I was really cramped for some room.
One can get amazing pizza over here. This place is situated in the heart of Soho. It is a value for money restaurant and is run by an Italian family to fulfil the undying search for everybody's need of authentic Italian cuisine in the city. This place is a must try for your weekend brunches! I would recommend having the meat lasagne.
This is one of the very good restaurants that I have been to. The food is always of top notch quality and the service is also fairly normal. Whether it is lunchtime or dinner, the food portions served are always large and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time whenever I have visited this restaurant.
I have to say that I absolutely adore this place. I came across this place walking idly down the street, and it has now become my new favourite. They have a really nice setting- all candle-lit and enticing. It gives a very warm and sensual feel to the restaurant, and makes one love the place. I really enjoy coming here.

Dean Street Pizza happens to be an amazing place by far which serves amazing pizza. The staff and their services offered are pretty efficient and quick. The ambiance is fine and the decor is decently good. The pricing is reasonable and they pretty generous with the portions. You could probably give this place a shot.
Some great value food here! I think they have offers that change each day. Today's was burgers for a fiver, I didn't get one but saw other customers with them, and just like my pizza, they looked great. I went for ham and mushroom pizza, which was £7, they all are. Ambiance is a bit weird, not sure I get it, but food is amazing value for money. Oh and quick too, I guess that's down to the proper pizza oven!
Amazing restaurant!
Ambiance: The setting is amazing, I love the casual rustic decor, nothing fancy, perfect for a casual date or dinner with friends.
Service: No complaints with the service, considering it gets very busy, they were very attentive and professional.
Food: I can only speak for the pizza, though everything else looked DELICIOUS, and the pizza was definitely a winner!! The crust is thin, and considering I kept it so plain and simple with just a margarita, it was still so delicious and stands out as some of the best pizza I've had in London.
Value: Very reasonably priced, especially considering I love their food and setting so much.
I will definitely be coming back, highly recommend this place for simple and filling food, which you're just bound to love like I do!
I went here while visiting Oxford St to do some shopping. I am a big pizza fan so I have pretty high expectations. I give the pizza a 10/10! The only complaint I have about Soho Joe's is the cleanliness of the shop! Otherwise, great find in Soho!

Now today (yesterday if you're reading on the 29th) was a pretty bad day for myself, and what better way to cheer myself up than with as many carbs as I could muster - in the form of pizza.
Soho has become one of my most favourite places to hang out in, as there's so many different things to do - including this amazing place.
I actually first came here on a date, and have been back several times since. I finally decided to give these guys the web attention that they so truly deserve; great service, atmosphere, and food are some of the main things at this place.
Now, when I first went to Soho Joe, they had these plastic sheets over the door; pretty much like the entrance to a Butcher's freezer, or something - considering the first time I went was for a date, I genuinely thought I was going in to some weird sex dungeon. But, this evening there was no flaps, which I kind of felt a little gutted about - odd...
Due to the beautiful autumn evening we were having, there were a few couples eating outside on the pavement, but we ventured inside; the place was completely decked out with twinkling candles, and rustic looking tables and chairs - none of which matched, which I absolutely loved. There were tables for 2, large tables for 6 people, and even huge breakfast bars that pretty much covered the whole length of the restaurant. Now, considering this place is open from early morning until late at night, I can imagine these breakfast bars are handy for...well breakfast meetings.
So we sat down in a cosy little nook of the restaurant, where the walls were decorated with corrugated iron, and witnessed the restaurant fill up piece by piece - actually, the later it got to (about 9ish) the restaurant was pretty much hitting peak. I guess it's in the perfect location for a late night snack after the theatre, or shopping. The speakers had some form of instrumental samba influenced by jazz - only way I can describe it.
So, the menu is only one side of an A4 paper, perfect as we all know the troubles of having too much choice. They're obviously well known for their pizzas - 12 inches of absolute heaven, for only £10. Joe my friend, let's get acquainted. Me and my friend went for the Napoli (Chicken breast, roasted red peppers, tomato and basil sauce and Italian mozzarella). Lets just take a dramatic pause for how beautiful that sounds...
Okay, so let me just put it out there, the last couple of times I've been I've never finished one myself, so we opted to share this one. The dough was incredible - thin and crispy, yet beautiful soft and doughy, super fresh and just delicious. They are incredibly generous with their toppings, and I had at least 2/3 large pieces of chicken on each slice. I decided to drizzle a little chilli oil on it to give it an extra zing this time round, but the red peppers do give a nice little sweet undertone to the pizza.
But, what I love about Soho is the independent feel to most of the businesses here, they feel more personal with a punch of character to them. Soho Joe is full of quirky character, and the staff make you feel so welcome. From the offset you're greeted at the door with a smile, super amazing table service, just seems genuine. Bravo.
I think next time I go it'll be in the morning/afternoon to try out their breakfast/lunch.

Your in Central London, you've had a few drinks in Soho & your hungry & your not feeling too flush. Look no further then here, it's cash only so think ahead but it's cheap & really nice. It has a cool vibe, very laid back with mismatched furniture & candles in wine glasses. The pizzas are the stand out, cheap, delicious, gorgeous crispy base & tasty fresh toppings - great to visit in a group though sometimes you might experience quite cold service - just think of the price!
Great place for a grabbing a quick after work dinner with friends in central London. Considering the location, the prices are great - though have increased in recent months. The pizzas, authentic, stonebaked and the best I have had in central London, are by far your best option - though the other Italian dishes and a range of salads are on offer. Gets very busy and quite noisy at times!
Soho Joe has to be one of my favourite places to eat when I am in Central London and here is why:
Considering that is located smack in the middle of touristy central London it is both well prices and serves good quality food, which is a rare commodity in the Soho / Oxford Street area.
Its simple and yet delicious menu serves a range of American-Italian food and yet its stone baked pizza's are the closest thing I have had to genuine Italian pizza in the UK. On top of that they are exceptionally well priced at 9 pounds.
The booze is cheap, with a small glass of house wine costing you only 4 pounds.
The chilled decor of the restaurant with its open kitchen and exposed brick walls allows for a chilled and relaxed ambience which makes a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Soho.
All in all, if you are looking for a relaxed ambience with well priced and good quality food then Soho Joe is the place for you.

If you are in Soho and want to eat pizza, go nowhere else but Soho Joe. You'll never be disappointed.
The Good
The food - It has to be the USP of the place. I know many Londoners who are regulars here for years and still think it's London's best pizza (not my opinion though) I think it's one of the best, definitely.
Price - I paid 10 pounds for my pizza which is a great value for the money, given the quality that you are getting.
Ambiance: They have a trendy bar where you can have some drinks while you wait for your table (which will be the case most of the times) The atmosphere is dark and romantic - yes, you can easily bring a date here.
The Bad
No credit cards - It exactly isn't bad if you already know it, but once you reach there and place your order and realize it's cash only, it can get little upsetting. Most of us rely on the plastic money in our pockets, it's high time Soho Joe starts accepting them.
Table service - As Soho Joe is almost always very crowded, I have noticed the staff tries to rush you out if there are many people waiting. i am not sure if they are to be blamed actually.
What I had
Four Cheese pizza - which was incredibly awesome and Bufaliana - which is probably one of the best dishes I have ever had. The ingredients were so fresh, that you almost feel bad when they get over.

I don't normally get this excited about pizza, but daaaaymn Joe has some serious sex appeal.
Joe serves up rustic, home made Italian food.
With all their pizzas priced at £9 each, how could I say no?
I went for Joe's Special, and B. had the Vegetarian.
All their pizzas are made in a huge stone oven at the back.

You can tell that Joe's pizza's are made with love, from the first bite the pizza base just melts in your mouth and then you are hit with the sweetness of the roasted peppers, the charred aubergines, which is balanced by the salty sweetness of the olives and the hum of the parma ham. Joe doesn't just serve pizza, for £9-11 he also dishes up steaks, burgers and pastas.
The atmosphere at Joe's is so relaxed that striking up conversations with the guys on the table next to you is pretty standard.
This place is definitely somewhere to impress your date, or a just to be loud and boisterous with your friends.

Five star breakfast. Fantastic eggs Benedict and stack of pancakes. The Hollandaise sauce was great. Coffee was also good. Lovely ‘real’ atmosphere with a warm welcome from all the staff. We would absolutely return!!
I think for what it is, the food is amazing! Great Lebanese quick eats at a great price :) seems more like a pub/bar than a restaurant and during happy hour, it is 2 cocktails for £15 (at time of writing) though it is slight dingy, maybe due to customers there and time of visit (late Friday night)… I would definitely come back for some delicious cheap Lebanese grills (£7-8)! We also got baklava with ice cream - that was great as we got a variety of baklava.
Amazing food!! and I especially loved Happy Hour!! Food and drinks were all delicious that I will have to bring more of my friends to try this place out!
Everything had great prices, my friend and I loved the interior of the restaurant and the vibes it gave!
🫒🌶️🍢We enjoyed a handful of savory Middle Eastern apps at Soho Joe’s. The food was delicious, came out of the kitchen quickly, and was served by friendly people! We sat outside, directly across from The George, and enjoyed the people watching and “pub life” which was in full force! 🍻 We happened to be there during happy hour for BOGO drinks and nobody was complaining about that! 🎉

Wow, this place is such a hidden gem that I found by accident. Service was great, the interior was clean, and I was the last person to order food before the kitchen closed. Every item was cooked fresh, flavourful, and artfully served. I will definitely be back here and recommend it to anyone who loves Lebanese food and great service! Cheers!
The place has loud music and no internet which I wasn’t a big fan of. HOWEVER, as someone who has eaten Lebanese food all my life and have visited Lebanon, they’re food is very close to the real thing. Everything tasted amazing from the humus and the falafel to the kofte. Would recommend, but would suggest for the resturant to work on its atmosphere a bit.
