Peter Morrell and his wife enjoy the food and the atmosphere in this charming French farm-to-table chicken rotisserie restaurant. Cocotte was founded by chef Romain Bourrillon. His inspiration has come from his experiences of working in restaurants across France, NYC, Belgium and London. Romain has created delicious home-made dishes that are made from fresh, farm-grown ingredients. For example, all the free-range chickens served in the restaurant are sourced from Evron in the Loire Valley of France.

If you want finger lickin, healthy chicken I've got just the spot for you. Earlier this year Cocotte was opened in Westbourne Grove by a group of Parisian friends who lamented the lack of healthy rotisserie chicken joints in London. In Paris they're a common occurrence, but not so much in London as KFC and deep fried everything seems to take precedence. So Ziad, Capucine, Eglantine and Romain (who created all the recipes) set up shop and having been dishing up their delicious chicken dishes in the their restaurant (and via Deliveroo) since. Cocotte source all their chickens from a free range farm in La Chapelle d'Andaine in France and then marinade them for 24 hours in their secret herb and spice blend before cooking them on the rotisserie. Hazel and I popped in on a rainy Monday to eat all the chicken and have a catch up. The menu is short and sweet - you can get a whole (£22), half (£12) or quarter (£7) rotisserie cooked, juicy and tasty chicken with a variety of homemade sauces including garlic mayo, BBQ, Cocotte mustard, chicken gravy, spicy, green or truffle mayo, all of which are £1. Sides range from the healthy - The Nathalie salad (kale, roasted yellow pepper, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, sesame, lime juice, walnut oil and tahini) and the Nini's (broccoli, broad beans, green beans, basil, olive oil, mushrooms and lemon dressing), to the not-so-healthy but bloomin' delicious mac n cheese. We shared a half chicken with the spicy sauce and truffle mayo, a mac n cheese and the The Nini's salad with extra avocado, which was more than enough for two of us. The chicken was expertly cooked and seasoned and the sauces were spot on. Gooey mac n cheese and a bowlful of green goodness was all we needed to go with it.
I visited Cocotte in Notting Hill with my eldest daughter & son in law two weeks ago for dinner. Our server was a delight; she told us she was Russian. We could watch our dinner being cooked; the free range chickens being rotisserie roasted right in front of us. The food was tasty and well priced for London; not stupidly expensive & in generous portions. The only improvements I’d make? I’d use free-range AND organic birds for 5 stars 🌟 but it was still a lovely evening in a very relaxing atmosphere with a decent bottle of red wine & lots of smiles. Definitely go back.
Elegant place for a weekend brunch/lunch with friends 😋 we sat at the bar so we were able to see the chef carefully preparing our food, honestly, the way he sprinkled the garnish was a work of art, so beautiful 👌🏻
I had crispy chicken burger and my friend had chicken and waffles. We both enjoyed our choices 😋 fries that came with my burger was crispy which I love so much! If you like your fries crispy defo order that!
Been there for lunch on a Sunday. Friendly atmosphere with delicious food. It’s all about grilled chicken with nice sides 👍🏽
Highly recommend! 2 things I liked the most about this place: Firstly the homemade sauces! The best ones i’ve ever had! The mayo, the barbecue sauce, the mustard! All incredible! Secondly: The payment method at the end with scanning the barcode is very user friendly and easy. It splits the bill for you too!
The food was really tasty and good value for money. Me and my friends shared a whole chicken and decided to try lots of sides. I highly recommend the truffle mash potatoes (so creamy!) and the baby roasted potatoes (so crunchy!). I hope the photos help you decide what to eat!
This restaurant never disappoints, the food is always delicious and despite they serve mainly the chicken dishes, its done to the perfection and the all the sides they’re offering are amazing. The service was 5 stars from a lady who works there only on Sundays. If you like Nando’s, then you will certainly Love Cocotte!
Ordered the roisterrie chicken, it was soft, tender and really flavourful. Highly recommended!
Every time we go here, it’s always amazing food, perfect atmosphere and the staff are the best. Albie is very helpful and makes the experience - will continue to come back over and over again!!
The chicken was delicious both roasted & in the kale salad. Mashed potatoes were the bomb!
Absolutely LOVE the lunch menu there. The garlic mayo is fabulous with the truffle French fries as a side. First I sit inside and the second time outside, considering is summer felt a bit more breezy outside. Great service.
Making a brief lunchtime stop, we were treated to an exceptional delight – the finest roasted (free-range) chicken imaginable. Its succulence, tenderness, and nuanced seasoning proved to be a true sensation. Furthermore, the staff exhibited remarkable friendliness and thoughtfulness, adding to the overall experience.
Worth a detour when you're in the neighbourhood.
Absolutely fantastic food! Love the care they put into making each dish yummy and the presentation was lovely. I appreciate the effort and care it takes to get their chicken free range as well. A must eat in London!
This Place was amazing. Very cute atmosphere and the best mashed potatoes that I’ve ever eaten. The salads are so creative and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Not very touristic! I’ll come again!
I arrived just after the lunch service and I must say the service and the food was top notch. I loved the rotisserie chicken and the sides were excellent. I want to say many Thanks to Alexei. He was attentive and took his time going through the menu. The cocktails where pretty and the decor was picture worthy. Thanks again
