Happy to have another Michelin restaurant in London under my belt, without having to splurge ridiculously. Galvin at Windows, under the head chef, Joo Won, has a French-inspired menu with beautiful, fine dining atmosphere up in the sky at the Hilton, Park Lane. The 28th floor restaurant has lovely, floor to ceiling windows overlooking various angles of London, ranging from Hyde Park, to City, to the Soho area. Even though we requested a window seat, they were unable to accommodate which was a little disappointing considering it was a Tuesday lunch time and not very busy at all. They had an offer which was a 3 course lunch menu for 19.95 pounds – a great deal for a fine dining experience. We found the overall atmosphere very elegant and comfortable, beautiful 360 degrees surround views, all complemented by 3 lovely, well-balanced dishes for a delicious lunch.

Another jewel in London food scene; apart from snobbish reception everything else was perfect to T.

We had a guest who was 100% vegetarian; we decided to have Chef Degustation menu since Veg was not on list but chef left no stone unturn to put a smile on our guest, sitting by the window overlooking London skyline had a great conversation with great food, must say both the servers with on top of their service.

Food was amazing after seven course we felt like going to heaven

Must Visit.

Lost 0.5 in my opening statement.

Nice restaurant with a city view. The design and decoration are simple. The ambiance is relaxing. Staff are professional. For the main course, I ordered Tagliatelle. It was tasty and creamy. As for sweets, I had a delicious apple tart.

Peter Morrell and his wife enjoy the ultimate culinary experience on the 28th floor of the Hilton Hotel in London. The Galvin at Windows Bar. The View by Night. PausePlayPlayPrev|Next. Michelin starred Galvin at Windows has maintained its place on the must-visit list of dedicated foodies for more than a decade. News of a brand new cocktail list and a program of special menus highlighting a different region of France every month were the only temptations I need to pay a visit.

We went to Galvin at Windows with a meal and cocktail package for two, set at £60.
Had an amazing time, mainly due to my company! Views are incredible, as well as decor and layout. Although the seating closer to the windows are quite small, in short you sacrifice comfort for views.
It should be noted that these seats are in the bar allocated area of the venue. Further seating in other parts of the restaurant are comfortable, if you are looking for a full meal.
The wait staff are polite and extremely quick to accomodate your needs.
Food as expected at a restaurant of its calibre and set up is tasty and very well presented. The platter of food was quite the odd selection. Unfortunately portion sizes are tiny, as many of these high end restaurants produce.
The cocktails were average for the venue and rustic in presentation.

Sammii here! So last weekend was my annual fancy dinner meal with my girls from back home in Manchester, we like to gather together yearly just to celebrate in style all our achievements and milestones that we've made in the year. For me I would say the biggest one is that I've got into Uni and knowing for the first time ever what I want to do with my career. For anyone still on that path thinking, 'hey I have noooo clue what I wanna do', it really does take time and just throwing yourself out there trying different things. Everyone reaches points in their lives at different times, so don't put pressure on yourself if you haven't found what you want to do yet :)

Dined here for dinner on a Thursday evening. The view as you arrive looking over Hyde Park and London are incredible; as good as any other London view point. We had a 5 course menu, my partner wanted to change one of the courses which they kindly obliged to do. The food was great, the service better and overall we had a fantastic time. The food was very rich, so we needed some fresh air to walk it all off The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the pomme puree that was too buttery/creamy for my liking. Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

It's Michelin star French restaurant.
Each plate is a piece of art and quite expensive.
Was there for an office do for dinner and the three course was just exquisite.
We had chosen the Menu Prestige and my choice was:
- Starter: cured salmon, crab with avocado purée and fennel compost
- Mains: halibut fillet, pomme purée, shitake mushrooms, prawn and dashi broth
- dessert: kirsch parfait, chocolate ganache with cherry and hibiscus granita

The broth in the mains was sublime and I would definitely go to this place sometime very soon now as they have a lot other on menu to try.

I have a love / hate relationship with restaurants which boast about their views.  When done well, like Rofuto back in Brum, the view becomes secondary; a bonus to the food which demands the attention of the plate, not the traffic levels below.  On the flip of it, like in MPW at the Cube, it can be a distraction to some pretty abysmal food, even if the booking was knowingly done so mostly for the view.  Or you could be sitting halfway up the Eiffel Tower, in Le Jules Verne, paying three hundred quid for a jellied beef soup and some cold veg.  I’ve done all three and I know all too well that a good view is not a guarantee of a good meal.

Fantastic venue with amazing vues of London. Took my mum there for her birthday meal. We have chosen set menu which was very well balanced and filling. The pork belly as one of the mains was superb. Staff was extremely knowledgeable when I asked for wine recommendations. They even surprised my mum with a little birthday cake which was very sweet. We both felt very spoilt. Highly recommend

First up: Casterbridge steak tartare, pickled vegetables & grain mustard mayonnaise.
I LOVE steak tartare. I was quite freaked out by it the first time I had it in a pub in Cologne (‘Raw meat? Raw egg? And it’s not dangerous?!’), but I immediately loved the flavours. This one was stunning, with chopped onion and gherkin already in the meat, adding flavour without being too overpowering, and the thinnest crispy slice of bread I’ve ever seen, perfectly salted. The mustard mayonnaise was a delicate balance of sharp and sweet, and the radish pieces were perched on top of egg yolks, which were so creamy we nearly mistook them for butter!

A room with a view. Galvin at Windows is situated on the 28th floor at the Hilton on Park Lane. Overlooking London and especially the West End and Hyde Park this was a pleasant experience. We were lucky to have a nice summer evening; it wasn't the hottest and there was a bit of cloud cover, however it it was bright enough for dinner.

Galvin at Windows, situated on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane, was one of the first ‘posh’ restaurants my husband and I went to. Within our first year of getting together we went there to celebrate his birthday. We also spent our wedding night at the Hilton Park lane and although we didn’t dine at Galvin at Windows that night, they sent some of their marshmallows to our room, simply because we had mentioned how nice they were to the person who checked us in. As the restaurant is quite sentimental to us my husband surprised me and took me there for a date night.    As we were shown our seat, right next to the window, we were given postcards, which could be sent anywhere in the world courtesy of the restaurant. I wrote them out to my children, all the way in sunny Kent. The views are incredible, you can see for miles, from our table we overlooked Buckingham Palace. We were given an Amuse-bouche of crayfish and some freshly baked bread. The bread was delicious, still lovely and warm and the butter melted into it as I spread it on. My husband had purchased a voucher which entitled us to the Menu Prestige. The menu had a good variety, for starter I choose San Marzano tomato gazpacho, Sicilian red prawns, peach compote & basil and my husband, shockingly didn’t order the foie gras, went for the Scallops ceviche, Aquitaine caviar, pickled kohlrabi & sweet soy. My dish was really good, the gazpacho was so refreshing and the little tomatoes had so much flavour and were lovely and sweet. It looked pretty too. I had a little taste of hubby’s, that was pretty impressive too. Next up was the main course, now my husband and I very rarely order the same dish but I love lamb so I choose that, he would have ordered the beef I think if it were not for the supplement. There were additional sides too, at a cost, we didn’t order those.  Rump of lamb, slow cooked belly, devilled sweetbread, spring vegetables & spiced jus The mains were presented, the portions were huge! Sides were definitely not needed as the portion was more than adequate! The lamb was gorgeous so tender and soft, not at all chewy. The sweetbread, which I’m used to eating fried, wasn’t fried but still a nice addition. The slow cooked belly was melt in the mouth. The jus on the dish was incredible, it had a spicy cumin kick and worked so well with the lamb, I literally moped every drop up with the bread. Such a hearty flavoursome filling dish. I’m used to tasting menu portions so this left me felling very full! Dessert menus were given to us, great choice of desserts. I liked the sound of meringue and black pepper ice cream so opted for that. Hubby went for the chocolate dessert.  Dark chocolate Palet D’or, raspberries & white chocolate ice cream  Nougat parfait, caramelised banana, Muscovado meringues & black pepper ice cream Both desserts were presented beautifully! My was quite funky. The taste and texture was like a banoffe pie, and the crunch on top of the banana was pefect. My husband was very selfish with his and I barely had a taste. These were awesome desserts, a real treat. I loved having a full size dessert! Along with the bill came some chocolates and the amazing marshmallows. When my husband asked for the bill, there was a bit of confusion, the manager was very apologetic, he arranged drinks in the bar to make up for the mistake and amazingly we got to even walk through the kitchen out onto the balcony!!!! We had been quite privileged to this and this more than made up for the slight error.    So overall a great meal, the food is absolutely delicious and filling, I know some people complain about small portions in Michelin star restaurants, but it definitely isn’t the case here. My only negative of the meal is I personally feel the service could have been slightly more attentive, by that I don’t mean the service was bad, quite the contrary, I just would have liked more interaction. I would have liked a description of my food when the dishes were presented to the table. But this is a personal preference and something that I am accustomed to. I think Galvin at Windows is a great restaurant. The views are incredible, the food is amazing. I think it’s a great starter restaurant if you are new to fine dining and Michelin Star restaurants. You are made to feel welcome but not fussed over and it’s a perfect venue for a romantic date.

Up on the 28th floor of the Hilton on Park Lane, Galvin at Windows offers awesome views of our fair city.  The contemporary style French menu from chef Chris Galvin is also as picture pretty as the views. Both Neelam and Deena celebrate their birthday's within a few days of each other so we decided to book a table and celebrate. To start, we enjoyed Galvin's summer spritzer made with watermelon juice and Prosecco.

Wow!! A Michelin star restaurant to rave about. Am amazing view of the city all around - aptly names it at the windows :)

Select set of dishes of a daily menu - what I found appealing was how asparagus was use in different dishes.. All dishes were pretty as a picture..

And the apple tart along with the salted caramel - yum!!

And there collection of single malts is quite fascinating. Not surprising for that part of the world.

Every trip to London starts with the same ritual. Figuring out how many days will be spent in the capital and how many meals that realistically equates to.  Next step is trying to book places to eat from the steadily growing list of restaurants that sound worth a visit. It’s always a pleasure to try new places so even though Medlar, Pollen Street Social, Roganic, Chez Bruce and Upstairs at Ten Bells had provided excellent meals on my last trip (six weeks prior) they were off limits this time around. Galvin at Windows seemed a good choice to start this trip. Situated on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane it gave the opportunity to combine good food and fine views. Galvin at Windows was opened in 2006 as the second restaurant in Chris and Jeff Galvin’s gradually growing chain of eateries. The emphasis is on seasonally inspired modern French cuisine with the kitchen headed by Andre Garrett. The dining room features a raised centre floor so diners at those tables still have t

The city unfolded beyond the glass; there is always something so attractive about a restaurant or bar that lies tucked nicely between the clouds (fine, I might be slightly exaggerating, it’s only on the 28th floor), especially in a city like London that doesn’t really have many skyscrapers. “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” (Virginia Wolf) There is certainly something to be said about going to a fancy, Michelin star restaurant; the mood, the respectful staff, getting the big table next to the windows (unfortunately the views are not accessible for all of the tables in the restaurant, even though most of them do seem to be placed next to some sort of window), it all sets a nice tone to your life. That, and the free champagne. The bread was crunchy on the outside and luckily not crunchy on the inside too. It was quite good – some restaurants seem to just give me a piece of stale bread. We went for the Lunch Menu (25£ for two courses or 29£ for thr

If there is one thing that comes at a premium in London these days, it's a view. And not to blow our own trumpet - but London does have one of the best views in the world. Situated on Park Lane, on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel is the Michelin starred Galvin at Windows. Surprisingly for its location, Michelin star and well known chef, Galvin isn't that particularly well known. Most of my friends, or people i meet haven't even heard of it (maybe i need new friends). Either way those who don't - are missing out. Apparently the interior inside Galvin at Windows is meant to evoke the 1930's, although to me it looked almost modern, and in need of a little refresh. Still, it was a lovely large dining room with a view to melt a heart. The restaurant opened in May 2006 and gained its first Michelin star in 2010, which it has kept hold of ever since. Chef patron Chris Galvin and his head chef, Joo Won have created a tantalising menu here. Rich, decadent, mouth watering food which would easi

It is widely known that only three things that are important when it comes to property: location, location and location. The Park Lane Hilton, while never likely to win an award for aesthetics, nevertheless sits among London's prime Mayfair real estate but has its real advantage bestowed by being one of the few tall buildings in the vicinity therefore offering spectacular and uninterrupted views across London. Taking full use of the fact, the 28th floor of the building is given over to Galvin at Windows, the Michelin starred restaurant, together with Galvin at Windows bar. Between the two, they pretty much offer the full London skyline with St Paul's, The City and Canary Wharf visible looking east from the bar and from the restaurant, Park Lane, Hyde Park and Kensington. It's a spectacular backdrop for lunch. Also at Galvin at Windows is Fred Sirieix (Twitter: @fredsirieix1), General Manager and of course star of the recent BBC programme Michel Roux's Service. To begin with , this place opens up to a beautiful and breathtaking view of the city. The atmosphere is very inviting and splendid, interesting view of the park right in front of you. There are seven restaurants owned by this group and i cannot stop raving about how this place is! All i regret is exploring it this late!

This place is well recognized and renowned for their signature cocktails. To give honest remark, it did not do much for me though! Coming to my orders, red fruity cocktail named woman in love was thick and and the fruits flavors were delighting! Blackberry and Raspberry Puree is a mix with Pimm’s and archers liquor. Be aware of the ingredients, they have lot to offer!

I visited this restaurant and found it a good bet. The food was amazing with some really stunning views. I had one of their chocolate desserts and and I must say that it was one of the delicious desserts that I have ever tasted at any other restaurant. I would recommend you all to visit this restaurant and it is definitely worth it when you consider their 33 for 3 courses deal which was rather on a different menu.

The interior of Galvin is classic, white table clothes and green leather chairs are the order of the day, because what really shines here is the incredible view. From here there are 360 degree views of pretty much everything that you could hope to see in London. Skyscrapers in Canary Wharf, The London Eye, the vast expanse of Hyde Park and London's royal residence, Buckingham Palace.

The Shard may have stolen it's thunder a little but I can't recommend Galvin at Windows enough for special occasion dining. And if you just want a quick view from the top, the bar is also fabulous!

Warm bread and butter is my first birthday treat. A simple selection but beautifully done.

My starter is marinated Loch Fyne salmon, dorset crab, orange, beetroot and horseradish cream. The plate is not only beautiful but tastes incredible. A warning though, if you're not a fan of horseradish, the taste is quite powerful in this dish. Fortunately, I am a fan!

Susan SilverSpoon's plate is also pretty as a picture and her mackeral is perfectly paired with avocado and pecans.

It's hardly surprising that the incredible French food here is so good. Galvin at Windows has a Michelin star which it has maintained since 2009. The service is also perfection as the restaurant is overseen by General Manager Fred Sirieix, a celebrity in the world of restaurant service. Also known as the 'Service Jedi' he has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. It's clear why Galvin at Windows has over 30 awards and is one of the best restaurants in London.

I visited the bar in the restaurant on a Saturday night, and despite being extremely busy, we managed to find a table.

The decor is distinctly average, but the great views of London perfectly make up for this. I visited the bar with a group of friends, however it has a very romantic feel to it, so it wasn't very appropriate. However, the staff were incredibly attentive and ensured our glasses were constantly full! A great bar, and a definite must try.

Fine Dining, warm hospitality and fair pricing

My girlfriend and me couldn't have been happier with both the reasonably priced and great quality wines on offer. We chose a southern French red with some age that had been recommended by the helpful sommelier

It proved hard to decide what to order--but the food was entirely satisfying and the atmosphere relaxing & pleasurable.

The menu offers many options but I suggest to go for the “Menu degustation” that will leave you 100% satisfied.

The view and the atmosphere that you can enjoy in this place are without any doubt unique. It will be an experience that you will remember for sure.

It’s an expensive place but the price is justified by the location and, as I stated before, the view.

That said, in all. It is warmly recommended.

Stunning views to London, which makes the experince in the this amazing French Restaurant more than sophisticated.
Located in the most popular and posh area-Mayfair in Hotel Hilton the Restaurant gaves you the real experience to see the London and its beauty.
The venue offers you french cuisine with tasty and magnificent dishes like no other!
I would say to order the Menu Prestige which is a three set course meal( From Salad of asparagus, slow cooked duck egg, reblochon cream & ice wine vinegar and Fillet of Cumbrian beef, ox cheek, foie gras & pomme purée ad a main course to Caramelia chocolate crémeux, raspberries & basil sorbet for dessert )
Great Place to spend with beloved person or to celebrate a special occasion!

If there is one thing that comes at a premium in London these days, it's a view. And not to blow our own trumpet - but London does have one of the best in the world.

Apparently the interior inside Galvin at Windows was designed to evoke the 1930's, and maybe it does just a little but it's already in need of a little refresh. Still, it was a lovely large dining room with a view to melt a heart. The restaurant opened in May 2006 and gained its first Michelin star in 2010, which it has kept hold of ever since. Chef patron Chris Galvin and his head chef, Joo Won have created a tantalising menu here. Rich, decadent, mouth watering food which would easily get an award for 'most likely to give you a heart attack' - the good kind of course (if such a thing exists). The bread was good too. The Galvin Bar is also on hand if you can't eat your weight in foie gras, to sip on a delicious creative cocktail while soaking up those stunning views.

We dined here on a Sunday and took full advantage of it. Starting with a balloutine of rabbit, foie gras, ham hock and pistachio. Served with a cauliflower puree, pickled carrots and Serrano ham. The ballotine was stunning. Parts of it melted in the mouth from the foie gras, and everything else was so well compressed that all of the intense flavors were packed into each bite - it left us all salivating. Cauliflower puree was pure heaven - but the carrots and ham didn't do much for me, or the dish in my opinion.

Remember when i mentioned about that heart attack, well this is probably what i was really referring too. A huge piece of foie gras, with a dense and meaty Cumberland sausage, and just to make sure it's that little bit more unhealthy - a hash brown. Plus a little tomato chili jam and gravy. The photo doesn't really show its true size but this dish as a starter was gargantuan. The foie was outstanding, melting to the touch and the Cumberland sausage was a lovely well made example The jam gave some much needed freshness to the dish and with its racing acidity left me drooling over the plate by the last mouthful.

Fish course was another mammoth dish. Pan fried sea bream, a hefty fillet and very well cooked. Seared scallops were a lovely addition but a little overcooked, which i think came more from the warmth of the plate than anything. Some well made gnocchi, olive tapenade and tomato emulsion were all lovely accompaniments to a dish which was good, but felt more like quantity was taking over a little, compared to quality or precision in the cooking itself.

Our main meaty course was a another gigantic portion. This time in the form of rolled roast pork, braised cabbage, carrot, apple compote, crackling and roasting jus. The pork was stunning, easy to cut through and much more tender than i expected for a piece of meat of this cut. It was infused with a few herbs and lovely rich jus to accompany it - there really wasn't much to not like. Perhaps the cabbage and carrot could have been more apparent just to take away some of the heaviness of the dish but otherwise a lovely plate of food. It's only criticism would be refinement, for a Michelin starred restaurant it's very heavy handed slab of food.

By this point there were no words to describe how full we was. I could barely move. Or stand from the copious amounts of wine I'd consumed. Still we tried our best to put the cheese course away. The Comte and Epoisse were the standout cheeses for us - both were gorgeous examples. The grapes on the other hand were hideous. No flavour, pips and very tannic. Toasted walnuts were lovely, but what this dish was missing was some jams or syrups. It was all a little dry for my linking.

If there were a dish where Galvin at Windows really showed off its Michelin starred creativity, then it would be with their desserts. Caramelia cremeux, chocolate sponge and textures of apricot looked the part. The cremeux was beautifully smooth and textured with a delicious rich chocolate sponge base. Apricot was served as a compote, puree and sorbet all of which were bursting with so much flavour. The whole matching style with substance was perfectly balanced here, leaving just as much coming through on the palate as could have been expected just by looking at it. This was all about flavour, and it had bags of it.

When you dine at Galvin at Windows the one thing that never stops coming to the table, is food. Just when we thought everything was over a large glass pot of marshmallows arrived completely filled to the top (we'd eaten quite a few before this photo). Rose and violet flavour, light and fluffy - they were all excellent and a little playful which made for a nice change compared to the usual petit four offerings. Although i can't imagine anyone could ever manage to get through them all. We gave it our best shot but the above was the finished result - pathetic i know.

Galvin at Windows was a lovely surprise and a restaurant so close to home, it's a shame i hadn't discovered it earlier. Whether the food here is of Michelin star quality, I'm not entirely sure but even if it weren't to have its one star i don't think it would make any difference to its popularity, because when we dined it was absolutely packed. Service was outstanding, and some of the finest I've had in London. While our meal may not have been particularly refined, we did dine on a Sunday which I'm informed is very much about feasting, with their usual menus being much more precision driven with its plating. Even on a Sunday, messy plates and all this is still French haute cuisine at its finest. I'll definitely be back.

After cleverly consulting my Zomato wishlist, and a lot of not-so-subtle hints, J booked Galvin at Windows for our anniversary dinner as a surprise. It had been ages since I'd had a good tasting menu, and I'd heard excellent things including from a friend who had proposed to his girlfriend there.

I was absolutely blown away by this place. After having a couple of disappointing one michelin star experiences recently, to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, but it delivered and then some. It's a formal setting, but not as stuffy as some of the other fine dining places (Petrus, Murano etc) and little touches such as the postcards you're given to write for them to post anywhere in the world edge it into a truly special experience.

We opted for the seven course tasting menu (priced at £100 without the wine pairing) but we both weren't keen on the look of the pork dish, so our waiter kindly agreed to swap it for lamb. A bottle of pouilly fume (£53 a bottle, but it was a special occasion) was the perfect accompaniment.

We tried to resist the homemade bread and salted butter as we knew the volume of food that was to come, but we caved and thankfully so - delicious. Our amuse bouche was a chilled gazpacho, mini cheese roll and chicken liver pate crostini. The gazpacho was beautifully fiery with a decent kick of balsamic and tabasco, and the pate was amongst the lightest and tastiest I've ever had. Next up was scallop ceviche with lime and soy marinade. Incredibly delicate, the scallop melted in the mouth and delivered an intense lime zest kick. I couldn't really detect the soy, but as it was perfectly balanced it didn't seem to matter.

Tomato and mozzarella is one of my favourite classic combinations, so the next course with different coloured tomatoes, creamy mozzarella (burrata-esque in texture), watermelon and black olive caramel was a fantastic twist on the classic. The fish course, of trout with lemongrass veloute was a triumph. The veloute enticed you in to inhale in an aromatic lungful of lemongrass, clouded over beautifully flaky, tender trout.

Next up was the substituted lamb, which I think was my favourite course. Masterfully cooked fillet of lamb - soft, pink and tender, with a rich and crispy sweetbread bonbon, soft unctuous boulangere potatoes and a sauce so velvety and shiny you were tempted to lick the plate clean. Just superb. The puddings didn't disappoint either - a pre-dessert of caramelised pineapple, vanilla cheesecake and fennel granita was incredibly moreish and cleansed the palate nicely. The granita was a little watery, with no distinct fennel flavour, but the depth of the vanilla and sweet, almost toffee flavoured pineapple made up for it. The dessert proper, if you like, was a chocolate and apricot number  - dense gooey dark chocolate with apricot choux bun, jelly and sorbet. It was my first experience of chocolate and apricot together, and an absolute revelation.

With surprisingly decent portions for a tasting menu, we were happily full but when offered cheese (£12 supplement) we couldn't resist sharing a plate along with a glass of chilled port each. At this point, the lovely waiters offered to move us to one of the best tables by the windows, as it was late by this point, so we got to enjoy the magical view which really added to the experience. We asked to substitute the goat cheese, so enjoyed cows milk cheese, comte and roquefort with arrived with bread and some excellent homemade seeded crackers. Roquefort was a little too strong for our tastes, and we felt the course would be improved with a chutney of some description.

As we asked for our bill, we were brought some homemade marshmallows, in rose and violet flavours - very perfumey (J thought they smelt like his grandma!) but gorgeously soft and chewy and an inventive change to a classic petit fours.

Our bill came to £320, which is obviously a huge amount of money, but after having been there for nearly 3 hours and enjoying some of the best food I've had in London, plus an incredible view, we felt it was good value.

I have an impression that Galvin at Windows Bar has been forgotten by many Londoners… Looking at its clientele, the majority seem to be visiting in London – don’t get me wrong, it’s not a typical sightseeing tourist’s crowd. It’s either regular visitors who make a trip to London every couple of months to shop / eat /do business , or people who are in London for special occasions. Galvin at Windows Bar is on the 28th floor of Hilton Park Lane hotel. It does have one of the best panoramic views in west London.

A lovely 3 course set menu for £30 with a Bellini. The view is simply spectacular so worth booking in advance for a window seat. Also they had the lovely courtesy of offering post cards to write on for them to send free of charge. Do not miss their home made rhubarb marshmallows they bring at the end, just to die for!

Went to Galvin at Windows for lunch a while back. We had the set menu, which is currently on offer for £45 (it was slightly cheaper on our visit), for that you get 3 courses including coffee, water and half a bottle of wine per person.

We started with a rather lovely mackerel tartar, amusingly presented in a tin, and followed this with Partridge and sweet corn pasta. So far so good. Alas the standards dropped dramatically at dessert - My companion had the Clafoutis which was soggy, she sent it back. My dessert was also not very good, however on the plus side they quickly replaced the soggy dessert with a cheese course and provided two plates so we could share it. This finished of the meal nicely.

However even with the disappointing desserts, I would still class this place as somewhere a bit special, that does not break the bank (if you stick with the set menu). The views not bad either.

I had one of the best Chateaubriand steaks that I have ever had at this place. But as we all know, the food is not all that matters when it comes to restaurants. The view is magnificent and there is no doubt about it but the interior is quite off putting and does not live up to the restaurant's reputation.

The service was great as you would expect from a restaurant associated with Hilton but I have to say overall I felt the whole thing was overpriced.

I would only recommend this restaurant if you have loads of money and just want to try all of London's fancy restaurant, however I would suggest you have this restaurant quite further down your list of fancy restaurants to avoid possible disappointment!

Michelin-starred restaurant in London with stunning views of the city. I recently visited Galvin at Windows for my anniversary dinner, and I had a wonderful experience. I started with an asparagus dish, and for my main course, I had the beef fillet. The accompanying vegetables were also delicious. Went for a birthday. Had a great experience. It would be better if dress code was enforced, the music was less techno beats and a table wasn’t kept free for the gram. Food and presentation are excellent. Service lacks a certain high-end finish but perfectly acceptable. I’d go again and book a table at 9pm.

Excellent restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton on Park Lane. High quality food and service with incredible views over Hyde Park or towards Buckingham Palace. However, VERY expensive! £72 for four glasses of wine! My wife and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they provided us with a free dessert with an anniversary message on it. Very thoughtful. Good to book in advance though.

Went for my birthday in May. Phenomenal view over London. Service was excellent, the staff has a great eye for detail and gave me and my partner a very pleasant and high class experience. We ordered the tasting menu and loved the coddled egg with asparagus, the main course with lamb and carrots was outstanding. After we had finished the menu they brought me an extra dessert with a hand written card which was super sweet. I am normally not a too big fan of live music because it tends to be distracting or too loud but here I really enjoyed it. It was just the right volume and very nice choice of songs. I recommend you to make a reservation for 6pm so you can watch the sunset while enjoying your dinner.

Absolutely excellent!! We took our three year old, because we are from out of town and didn’t have a sitter, for my wife’s birthday. We had a slightly earlier reservation (18:15) because of this and it was an amazing experience for all three of us. First off they brought our daughter a small bag of toys to enjoy… which she did! Usually about midway through our meal we have to get her iPad out to keep her seated. Not on this night. The iPad never came out. The staff knew she was their most important guest and I didn’t realize it at the time but they were 100% correct. It allowed my wife to enjoy her experience to the fullest without worrying about a toddler meltdown or outburst. The food and wine didn’t disappoint either. The sommelier immediately noticed me browsing the wine list and came over to offer his suggestion, and specials for the night, based on our entrée selections. My wife had the sea bass, I had the lamb and our daughter had the children’s chicken. All of it was incredible. My wife and I both had the Jerusalem artichoke soup to start and then the chocolate & dulche de leche, caramelized & lime ice cream to finish. All of it was cooked and prepared to perfection. Overall it was an incredible experience!
