A really nice chicken burguer and a good apple, beetroot and cabbage salad made this lunch worth it . Nice deco, friendly and efficient waiters . Nice music also .
What: Burger for Dinner
Where: Tooting, London, UK
Value: £15pp
Food Review: To eat: an honest burger with halal chicken and chips. The burger was swapped from the classic to the Beef Honest consisted of halal panko crusted chicken with sweet sticky red onion relish with a choice of red Leicester or stilton, obviously I chose the stilton (which was an excellent choice if I don’t say so myself). The chicken itself was slightly dry and overdone and didn't consist of much flavour. The onion relish however was the star of the show with its sticky almost barbeque like taste. The chips were rosemary salted and were definitely salted in rosemary. All in all the burger was great, but the chicken needs improving.
Drinks Review: To drink: mint lemonade, lemonade The lemonade was fizzy but not too sweet and refreshing, the only issue I had were the paper straws used, which broke down half way through (perhaps that is just me though).
When I next visit I would: like to try the classic burger and wings and prefer more halal options
Halal: Only the chicken burger and wings in the Tooting Broadway branch
Location Review: Situated close by to Tooting Broadway station and within the hustle and bustle Tooting provides it has a good location and atmosphere especially with its seating
Interior Review: The exterior of all honest burgers remains the same décor with its stripped back wooden furniture, making sure it’s all about the burger and that the customer does not need to dress up to go there. With window seating, its allows customers to people watch and non-window seaters can also browse the open kitchen and can keep an eye on when there food is coming (still not sure if this is a good thing).
The Service: As I visited at a relatively quiet time (weekday late evening) the service was friendly and helpful.
Sum up: Situated close by to Tooting Broadway station and within the hustle and bustle Tooting provides it has a good location and atmosphere especially with its seating
Honest will always be one of my most visited burger chains in London - it's so hard to find a good burger served on the rare side, so when I find one it automatically becomes a favourite. I tried the festive special at their branch in Tooting.
Honest kept it quite simple with just one festive option - a burger comprising of a Ginger Pig beef patty topped with a well sized slab of brie coated in poppy seeds and breadcrumbs, smoked bacon, cranberry sauce and rocket. Perfectly pink in the middle, no overly dominant flavours - my only niggle was that I'm not overly keen on poppy seeds, but I can't really make personal preference a criticism. It was festive but not over the top so, and the brie was a generous slab, no stinginess on toppings here.
Pssst... I can't talk about Honest without giving the infamous rosemary salted chips a mention. They're served on the side with every burger and are proper squishy yet crispy chip shop style chips to die for.
For a long, long time, I’d been meaning to pay a visit to Honest Burgers. I’d heard rave reviews and knew I would love it, but just didn’t get round to it. On Friday night, Tim and I made a fairly spontaneous decision to go there for dinner in Tooting on the way home. And I’m so glad I did, because I had the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. That’s a bold statement. But I’m sticking by it… (please excuse the photos – I didn’t have my good camera with me as I wasn’t expecting to go for dinner).
I'd heard mixed things about this branch of HB, but having been to most others in the small independent chain I thought I'd give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised, it was pretty quiet for a Sat (though it was an early for lunch) but the staff were friendly and attentive. The Beavertown Honest pale was great and went well with the burger. I tried the latest special (beef patty w/Swiss cheese, smoked bacon, guacamole & Harissa Mayo), I haven't been enamoured by a number of the recent specials but really enjoyed this one. The patty came medium rare as I'd requested and was well cooked. Overall it was a nice visit, with tasty beer and a nice burger. HB aren't my favourite london burger vendors, but they are generally consistent and good at what they do and for my visit at least the Tooting branch lived up to my expectations.
It’s one of the best burgers in London, the staff are wonderful and the decor is lovely – this one’s a keeper.
Awesome burgers (unfortunately seem to get smaller as inflation hits). Beef burger always good but would encourage you to also try the chicken (halal) ones too which are amazing. Really enjoy the rosemary fries and chipotle mayo too.
My husband suggested this restaurant after a morning at St. George's Hospital

Great customer service with friendly and outgoing workers who welcome you as you come in! Burgers are all very delicious with good portion size! Special thanks to Lakshmi and Greeshma who served us and offered the best service I have ever experienced in London, excellent customer service and thanks for treating us so well.Great for eat in and take away orders.
Tried the tribute, classic and plant burgers with chips. Size was ok, chip flavour was a good change from the usual. Service was fantastic, very attentive!
Food as always was great. This time I order the uber eats. Unfortunately I ordered a burger without sauce, the burger came with sauce but the restaurant sorted out and sent me a new plain burger. I am very happy with this as often I just get food I can't eat. Thanks to the team for sorting
Really good food, it was my first time at honest burgers in general and it was a pleasant experience. Service was prompt and friendly and the food arrived shortly after ordering. I'll happily go there again.
If the left and right is busy this is the spot for you to have a peace of mind to enjoy a meal.friendly well assisted professional staff will make sure that everything is all good.affordable price.the place if your seated on the right spot you can see the busy people passing through so its all good.and also you've got a lovely freebies.
Another experience that makes me reconsider every other 5 star review I’ve submitted!!
By a very long way, the BEST Beef Burger I’ve had in the 8 years living in London.
It started with the waitron asking how I wanted the patty and for the very first time in London, this fussy South African was over-joyed to get Medium Rare Perfection 😍
The patty was shear sumptuousness and the simple accompaniments were fresh and tasty.
To add to my joy, the Rosemary Chips which come with the burger (can be changed for coleslaw or salad) were heavenly … hot, crisp, tender inside and were delicious till the last scrappy morsel (unlike the typical fast food burger joints).
Oh, and the burger & chips were just £10, best value for £10 I’ve experienced in a UK restaurant.
Cannot wait to return and try their Buffalo Fried Chicken Burger (with glorious thigh meat and not the usual boring breast).
I was in the area to donate blood at the Tooting Blood Donor Clinic and needed a calorie packed meal to recharge the system,my next donation can’t come soon enough.
Well worth going out your way to get here.
Honest Burgers never fails to disappoint! The wings here are excellent and the burgers are made to perfection. Always can be relied on to deliver a good honest burger!
2nd time here: Nice Chicken Burger, I ate the Jerk chicken which was here for a limited time. Good service, music was on the loud side.
1st visit review: Good service, cosy nice place. Nice food although the chicken patty was slightly overcooked
Went to Honest Burgers Tooting for a team lunch. Was great service and very tasty burgers Tribute was the majority choice and was a real hit with the team. Seating area not too crowded. NHS discount which is always a win too. Will be coming here again and or ordering as delivery.
Best burgers in town!
We waited over a half hour to get in, but as soon as the food was in front of me, all was forgotten! The burgers and chips are consistently brilliant, with great service every time.
Seriously good burgers, chips and beers! First time trying the smashed and it was very good, classic American burger flavour. Great service as always!
