Excellent takeaway. We came home from work and found the menu with our mail - after trying a dozen other takeaways after moving to Greenwich this will be our go-to! It is fresh with none of the bright processed colors of other curries, and the madeira chicken tikka masala is my new favorite of a staple dish. free nepalese beer with 12 quid or more order is icing on the cake.

Great service!. The guy who greeted us was really inviting and even gave us free snacky bits to get the meal started. Overall I would say the food had some great flavors and it was nice to be able to have a pint of beer from their tap rather than the normal bottle. In my opinion its one of the best indians I have ever been to, but the decor and food presentation feels a little out dated. They could do with a little bit of contemporary rearranging as it looks like something out of the eighties! Still though Id give it a good score as the food and service was great.

My husband and I are great lovers of Indian food this place is certainly one of our favourites eaten. We've tried many of the dishes and we have yet to find one that isn't good. Our favourites are the Hara Bhara Kebab and Chilli Chicken. The service is outstanding: they always hold the door for you. The cost is reasonable.

After my usual Indian takeaway shouted at me and took almost two hours to deliver my food, a change was needed. And what an excellent change this was. I'd read the good reviews on Qype, and needed a very hot curry to get rid of my cold. It worked. my ears were burning the chillies were so hot. They also get the award for the friendliest delivery driver I've ever met. He even made a clever IT Crowd joke, totally out of the blue. And he told me to feel better. They also gave me free poppadums and a freebie can of coke. That was nice of them. Portions are slightly smaller than some, but it's also better food. Apparently cooked with less ghee than most places, so it's not swimming in grease (and it really wasn't). I wasn't thrilled with my calamari starter, but it was a weird thing to order anyway. Think I spent about £12 so it's slightly pricier than some in the area, but also three times as good. I like that maths very much. Almost as much as I appreciate friendly delivery men.

Panas, 19 July 2017 I went with my housemate to Panas a few days ago and we had a wonderful time. We've eaten in a few times but got their takeaway dozens of times so knew it'd be great but we were still really impressed with the service and food. I arrived first and was greeted warmly by Sujan, the owner, who also took our drink orders and then my housemate arrived. We were then served by Raffi, who was really friendly and polite. He even remembered me from a previous visit which was about a year ago so that was really impressive. After having the obligatory poppadums with a choice of mint sauce, mango chutney and lime pickle - all lovely - we were then brought complimentary onion bhajjis which were lovely, really big and accompanied by a really nice sauce. We both thought this was a really nice touch too. I ordered the king prawn malabar with a chapatti and my friend had the Goan fish curry with a chapatti also. We then shared the tarka daal and aloo gobi. All of the food was delicious; it was really tasty and plentiful too. I told Sujan how good it was that there were so many prawns and usually with prawn and especially king prawn dishes, other places tend to skimp on these but not Panas. The meal was really good value especially for the amount we got and the high quality of the food and the excellent and warm customer service we received. I would highly recommend a visit to Panas or at least get their takeaway or do what we do and mix it up and do both on a variety of occasions. You won't be disappointed. Panas is handy for public transport as it's halfway between Lee and Lewisham train stations and the DLR, and close to Hither Green too. Also, as it's on Lee High Road loads of buses go pass it too.

Hands down some of the best Indian style food I've ever had, including San Francisco. The portions are large but quality. And they always deliver on time.

This is a great restaurant. The food is beyond phenomenal and so is the staff. We had a party of 11 & they quickly accommodated us without any hassle. I can honestly say that they serve some of THE best salmon I have ever had. I will definitely visit again.

I heard about this place from a friend. He said it was Nepalese cuisine. I got curious. I know Nepal shares a lot in common with India, in terms of culture. But didn't know what was different in terms of food. So I decided to check it out. Went their with my wife, a pure vegetarian. She knew she would find something there as it was Nepalese. Any culture with a bit of Hindu influence serves proper, pure vegetarian dishes that are spicy and full of flavour and aroma. Salads are the last thing that an Indian vegetarian would prefer to have for lunch or dinner. So now you know why there are so many vegetarians in India. We took a good look at the menu. There were familiar names and there were some totally unheard of items which we knew had to be authentic Nepalese. So we tried jogi tarkari, an unusual vegetable curry with mushrooms, cottage cheese, spinach, green peas, beans, chick peas and potatoes. The aforementioned items aren't usually mixed together in one dish in India. So this sounded weird but tasted really good, which was what we wanted after all. We also tried the biryani. It was different again but delicious. They usually serve biryani with mutter (green peas) masala on the side. But I thought I'd try some Raita (indian version of greek tzatziki, but spicy and less thicker). The biryani was brilliant. But I quickly realized that the raita they serve in the restaurant used sweet yoghurt as the base, which tasted more like dessert than a side for biryani. When asked why Nepalese has sweet raita to the waiter, he said it was only for British people. If I had requested for normal raita they would have served the non-sweet version. If only I knew that the version they were going to serve me, a brown man with an Indian accent, the British version of Nepalese Raita. I couldn't have made myself any more obvious. Anyways, they had their reasons. And hence we saved money on desserts by not buying anything else. It is a classy restaurant, prices are reasonably high. Great quality of service and lots of drinks available. They do buffets for lunch on weekends (I'm not aware of other days) which comes with naan, vegetarian and non vegetarian starters, sweet chutney and spicy chutney, rice, vegetarian (daal [lentils] and aloo palak [potatoes and spinach]) and non vegetarian (lamb and chicken) curries for 9.95 per person. It is a bargain! I totally recommend. If you like spicy do mention that when giving your orders, you don't want to be served sweets instead of curries.

We ordered tiger prawns, achari paneer, chicken curry, tandoori roti, jogi tarkari and garlic naan along with drinks. The food was authentic Indian and Nepalese. It was delicious and a must for everyone who is a fan of this cuisine. The staff and the owner are very polite and the service is excellent.

Our regular takeaway for the last 2 years, they just picked up the phone and went Hellooo Michaels Close. Amazing starters - Papri Chat and Momo were staples. Sometimes we ordered a selection of starters without a main curry, they are that great! Main dish can be a hit and miss sometimes, it took a while to find a favorite. Vegetarian side dishes are to die for, and stand on their own especially the tomato paneer. We always got poppadoms and a beer with each order, a nice touch. Also, the restaurant itself is worth a visit for the fish + coriander rice mains not available for takeaway. There are 2 of these specials, both are very very good. We used to go to Blackheath village for Nepalese, we stopped after we tried these guys.

Ordered from here twice now and it's safe to say that it is without a doubt the best Indian food I've had in London. The portions are huge, the food is delicious and they even gave me a free bottle of wine. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Shashlick Bhunna which was incredible. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent. We also ordered butter paneer, a vegi platter and some garlic and pashwari nan. Every single bit of it was superb. Delivery was very quick, the food was with us about 25 minutes after ordering. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're in Lewisham or delivery distance from this place you need to try it!

Really good takeaways. Mint and corriander dish really had the taste of fresh herbs. Lamb very tender. Several cuts above your bog-standard indian. Dishes were on the smallish side but still very good value for the quality.

A clean, friendly restaurant serving tasty curries using quality ingredients. The momos/dumplings were a bit cold and not well made. However, the curries were awesome. One of the very few places that have organic chicken in the menu. Definitely worth a visit.

Just had the most delicious meal. A hidden gem! This food is exceptional. Take no notice of rude recent review, staff are wonderful these guys just tried to come in to use the loo and were kindly allowed to, we were in the restaurant at the time! The food is of the highest quality, spice blends are complex and the best we’ve tasted for years! Can’t wait to come back !

Panas is a gem of a restaurant. The quality of the food and the depth of taste is first class. Best of all it’s wonderful with vegetarian options. Making up almost half the menu. But if you love meat there’s some incredible treats on the menu. The mint and Coriander chicken is a family must have. And the black daal is a Smokey delight. Highly recommended. And the service and staff are super friendly and attentive too.

Great restaurant!!!! Best service!!!! Nice restaurant, food is tasty and well made. Curries are yummy. All cooked very well. Portions are good. Price is okay. Service is super friendly and good. The food can take a little long to come out but normally fine. The restaurant owners are amazing people and do lots of charity work and provide food for NHS workers.

Simply lovely - excellent food options, amazing flavours and patient, welcoming staff talking us through types of cuisine and curries. We loved the garlic chilli chicken and mum’s curry, plus would have buckets of the gunpowder fries!

One of the most delicious meals I've ever had, no exaggeration. Food definitely errs on the spicy side but this is a Subconti restaurant so what did you expect? Presentation is exceptional.

Amazing food, service and ambience. Greeted with a smile. Initially went with a work group and returned for a second time with a friend. Cannot recommend enough. Lots of variety on the menu, only room for improvement would be mocktail options.
