Elystan Street is a great restaurant: attractive layout that encourages the diners to focus on the food and their companions; a great wine list with some surprisingly affordable and great wines; a creative menu, with delicious dishes; an exceptional staff that is both unobtrusive and very attentive. Its a great neighbourhood restaurant, replacing Tom Aitken and adding to others (Pelicano, etc. ). Fun place, and we had a great table looking out over the room. We had the Strozzapretti & Scallop Raviolo to start, followed by the cod and turbot, and finishing with the bitter chocolate mousse. We drank a 1/2 carafe of pinot grigio, and a bottle of Lalande de Pomerol. All of it was very ggod. But... i have to agree with others that the food was very good, but not 'wow'. To be picky: the cod had half the plate separated with a big smear of pureed cauliflower (jarring, and a bit dated now), and a topping of 'haute onion rings' (they were delicious & added to the meal, but...). I mention that, because the food part of the bill was £ 210 (wine was £55). For two starters, two mains, and a shared dessert...that kinda money begs to be 'wowed'. One other thing, which didn't bother us (au contraire..), was that it was noisy. For us, it was a fun vibe. But for others, I'd recommend going early (we went at 9pm) or a middle-of-the-week day. Overall, really great and I'd recommend Elystan Street.

Fantastic dining experience in the heart of a relatively sleepy Chelsea restaurant scene. This was a much needed addition. I truly think the roasted seasonal vegetables with cashew hummus, curry oil and shallots were possibly the best vegetable dish I have ever had. I also had the sea bass carpaccio, which was more of a ceviche and absolutely outstanding. My main course was the fillet of cod with curried cauliflower puree, golden raisins (personally I think this dish could do without the raisins), coriander and lime, while my father had the grouse. All dishes were flavorful and interesting, while at the same time being light and healthful. We finished our meal with the cheese platter - wonderful! Service was attentive and the sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you, Elystan Street! Can't wait to go back.

We had dinner here on the last night of a fabulous first trip to London and had an incredible dining experience. Our server, Marine, was perfection - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly yet professional. Honestly, the food could've been mediocre and we probably would've enjoyed the evening simply because she was our server but - lucky us!- the food and wine was extraordinary. Bread: That perfect soft/chewy inside, crackly crust on the outside, served with creamy salted French butter. Starters: Veal tartar and fresh vegetable salad (no, not lettuce...an array of fresh vegetables topped by a fried egg) - flawless. Entree: Roast cod with an emulsion of mussels (all I can say is that we are making a big mistake with cod in the US by not figuring out how to make cod taste as sweet and soft and buttery as what I ate tonight) and sweetbreads -excellent, I would not change one thing about their taste or presentation. Wine: Yann guided us to a perfect Mersault (Domaine Martelet). He has the ideal personality for a sommelier- knowledgeable but approachable, professional but relatable, and he has perfected the art of the timing of glass refilling. Dessert: Lemon curd cake and - I forget the name of it - a rich, creamy raspberry/strawberry mousse wrapped in a Hershey's kiss-shaped meringue. My husband said the coffee was the best he'd had in London (and we had great coffee here). Gorgeous room - light wood floor, dark wood tables. Grey walls, beautiful windows, soothing softly colored upholstered side chairs contrasting with slightly bolder teal color bench seating. Whoever coordinated the lighting is an artist - lots of ceiling micro spotlights that bathe the room in a calm, quiet glow. An ideal dinner to end a wonderful visit to London.

Fabulous food, not quite The Ledbury in terms of quality, variety and service, but pretty close!

Best place for a celebration or just meet old friends. The menu changes regularly, so it's each visit has been different. Food is delightfully presented, wines are steep, but one knows that beforehand. What has remained the same is the tranquil space and superb service - for which I did not mind paying the 15% service charge. Our server Sonja was helpful with recommendations and not once did she rush us. A most relaxing evening.

Lunch at Elysian Street was delicious! The tomato salad was outstanding, the sea bream was bursting in flavour and the rabbit with polenta was delightful. The attention to detail in each dish was noticeable. Very pleasant dining experience! Will be coming back for dinner.

Delicious food, friendly service and great wine. Toned down vibe and a modern interior allows the food to speak for itself. Portion sizes reasonable too. The guinea fowl and cured Cornish mackerel were the highlights. Pollock was overloaded with tartare, but can’t complain for the price of the set menu!

This was my first time trying Phil Howard's cooking and it was so good. The food was satisfying and presentation, not at all fussy. I also rather liked the dining room as the decor and colours had been thought out well. There was a choice between a 3-course à la carte or a 6-course tasting menu. We opted for the former. To begin, I ordered one of Phil Howard's signature dishes, strozzapreti. It was prepared with Australian black truffle. This was undoubtedly one of the best pasta dishes I have eaten. The pasta was cooked to a perfectly soft texture and the sauce it was served in was as umami-rich as a sauce could get. The truffle added an extra depth of flavour and a distinctive aroma. However, I did feel that £40 was too expensive for this starter. My main course of duck was also a real delight. Tender and succulent pieces of meat were served with an orange purée and cherries, adding some nice sweetness and acidity. A side dish of a salad accompanying either my or my mother's main course was just excellent. The fresh and crispy salad leaves and the tasty vinaigrette went together perfectly. It was so simple yet so delicious. My dessert named 'Milk many ways with gooseberry and elderflower' was very unique and nice. The creaminess of the milk and the refreshing element of the fruits balanced the dessert. While the dessert itself looked like one single dish, beneath the white foam were a couple of different mini preparations using the same ingredients. I thought this was really cool! Meeting and having a little talk with Phil Howard was also a pleasure. The only real thing I felt could have been better is if we had been given a little more explanation of the dishes. When receiving them, there was little or no explanation. Personally, I like a bit of talk regarding the preparation and 'behind the scenes' would I say! Nevertheless, this was a great meal with generally pretty reasonable prices, considering the location and food quality. I would happily return :)

Amazing first-time experience at a Michelin star restaurant. It's location in Chelsea was a bonus, close enough to King's Road but far enough to be a little more peaceful. The set lunch menu was superb, good selection and very well priced. The food was so delicious, we almost forgot to take pictures. The rhubarb mess is an absolute must, perfect blend. Service was excellent as expected and very accommodating.

A delightful Michelin restaurant. The fall pre set menu was just perfect with local ingredients. We tried the pumpkin soup, mushroom main course, cheese soufflé, plum tart. Everything was delicious, light, and amazing I gave it a second visit just a few days later. Staff were wonderful and added more to the experience.

Enjoyable meal, we loved that the bread was served warm. Dishes were a little bit too salty but other than that technique was great and meat was perfectly cooked.

The restaurant is simple and beautiful with a lovely ambiance. Service was fantastic, the staff were attentive. The price fixed lunch menu 3 courses for £35 is good value. I got the rigatoni cacao e peppe, Cumberland beef salad and cheesecake. The dessert was the highlight of the meal for me. Great cocktail list too.

Good food. Friendly welcome. Varied wine flight. Struggled with a couple of aspects of the service (had to ask for bread twice, butter three times) - otherwise good.

Nice modern and minimalist interior. Bread with butter - both good. Had the green course- burrata was excellent: complexity of taste but the strozapretti with bashed sausage was rather simple and too predictable therefore presented a disappointment. The mains of fish was excellent- crispy skin with a nice caramelised sauce. Desert of Creme brûlée was more like a Creme Catalan- Nice but exceedingly sweat. The cheese desert was an absolute disappointment both portion and selection. Do cheese- unexciting, uninteresting choices-the accompaniment of as good. Service was attentive. Slight wait between starters and main- noticed it only because we had an appointment after the meal.

The rib eye of aged beef with bone marrow was amazing! The steak was tender, meaty and cooked to perfection. The scallops and crab ravioli was delicious too!
