We had a great experience last night. Food was delicious, everyone was helpful and polite. We had beef cheak as a starter, pasta with truffles, lamb cutlets which was magnificient and finally rhubarb as desert. Definetely a must go restaurant in London.

How much value do you put on an hour of your time?  If it was only GBP1, could I hire you to clean my toilet?  If it is astronomically high like 10,000 times that amount, please explain to me why do you spend so much time playing candy crush?  If it is somewhere in the middle, that causes problems for me as comparable and silly examples are harder to come by.

I was interested in this restaurant as it is one of the top 50 cheapest Michelin Star meals in the world. It is based on the set lunch menu which if you had 2 plates it would only be £22, 3 plates for £28 or 3 plates plus a drink for £33. It is excellent value considering the location and ambience. It was raining and I was slightly early for my reservation and they ushered me in and quickly seated me whilst I waited for my friend. It is formal without being stuffy or pretentious. Really loved the service here.

We liked the look of the choice of 6 plates so went with one of each to share. He had a wine and I had a mocktail of Blackberry Bramble. I’m glad they catered for non alcoholics with something more fancy than just a soft drink.

Pickled Carrots came with creamy yoghurt, some butter leaves, and crunchy hazelnuts. A brilliant flavourful vegetarian dish. Brandade Croquettes were nice and crunchy. It wasn’t too fishy and came with a lemon butter sauce. Sorpresine (pasta) is served with baby artichokes &
broad beans. Another fine vegetarian pasta dish. Lamb Nicoise Salad was excellent. Pink lamb medallions sat upon warm beans and potatoes. A half soft egg sat on top. Amazing dish and one of my favs. Crispy Duck Leg with lentil & smoked bacon salsa was the perfect dish for this cold day. I always love a good duck dish and this was no different. Wonderfully cooked, it was delicious. Wild Garlic Risotto & Creme Fraiche rounded our lunch off well. It was light enough to not feel too full but hearty enough. A lovely taste to it.

Couldn’t leave without dessert after spying other tables having some. We got the Paris-Brest Espresso with Tonka Bean Ice Cream. It was decadent with crunchy praline pastry filled with an espresso cream. Ice cream was creamy. So much yum!

It may be cheaper in price but doesn’t compromise on quality so my suggestion is to book for lunch for their excellent value.

I celebrated a big birthday in September and I certainly made the most of it! The Better Half (TBH) and I had the most divine foodie weekend away in San Sebastian. Friends visited from South Africa, Amsterdam, the US, Dublin and Manchester for a party to end all parties and then once the dust started to settle I was treated to a fantastic dinner at Jun Tanaka’s The Ninth on Charlotte Street by my personal trainer and dear friend, Maritha. It was the perfect end to a really wonderful birthday!

Excellent experience from start to finish. First rate service from the front of house team, particularly our super helpful German waitress. No one tried to 'explain the menu' and everyone was on hand at all the right moments - super attentive without being overbearing. Fixed lunch menu options were well executed and good value. Every dish was beautifully balanced and tasted fantastic save for the tiniest niggle with some overly thick pasta in the ravioli. The room was buzzy but ticked some of the usual bare brick, exposed light bulb, leather and wood cliches without suffering a jot. Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. If you are undecided give this place a go.

The menu was full of things I wanted to try, and nothing disappointed, everything was beautifully executed, although there were only a few things that really blew me away (ossobucco tortelloni with bone marrow was heavenly). My main criticism was that it was very loud - with four of us at dinner we were often straining to hear each other, and generally ended up talking in pairs rather than being able to talk as a table. A big shame as it's a really nice place.

Fantastic dinner which is why I'm surprised by the current rating of The Ninth(3.5*) on Zomato. Its definitely been one the best meals I've had recently in the past few months.

We had friendly relaxed but good service throughout out the meal. The food comes quick as well.

Standouts for us were the Scallops to start and the Sole for the main, though the iberiapork gets an honourable mention. The Kale side dish was amazing and I really don't like Kale normally

I only got to try a spoonful of the chocolate mousse and raspberry sorbert as my wife wouldn't give any more up! In future I'd trade my cheese plate for that.

Only miss was the rabbit lasagne at the start, found it a bit lacking.

It's not huge so I'd book ahead

Looking forward to returning here again and again

Three started, two mains, two sides, one desert, one cheese plate, a beer, sparkling water and 1/2lt of wine + service : £156

The Ninth is not a unique restaurant in London right now. I can think of a number of places – Piquet, Blanchette and Terroirs, for starters – delivering great food at a reasonable price in relaxed surroundings. But there is a precision and, at times, an understated brilliance to this restaurant which does set it apart. Let’s put it this way: I don’t think Tanaka need move on to his 10th establishment any day soon

I used to watch Chef Jun Tanaka consistently beating other chefs on a TV show called Chopped I used to watch when we lived in the US. Chef Tanaka recently opened The Ninth Restaurant in London so I wanted to check his real-life cooking skills. The restaurant is located on Charlotte Street and is Mediterranean inspired. Our oven roasted fish was delicious and would be good to go back and try the dinner menu at some point.

After reading few reviews of The Ninth, the first solo project by Chef Jun Tanaka, I knew it would be a restaurant I would like and the perfect venue for lunch with Samanta Stewart, the blogger behind Food Expectations. I’d been reading Sam’s blog for a while and I already knew we’d have lots in common, but as we chatted through lunch we discovered even more similarities in things we liked and places we’d been.

A beautifully designed space- cozi, effortless yet smart and contemporary. So as you step inside you fall in love (or at least we did).
And the food- small plates - sharing is the thing here- interesting, tasty, fun, beautifully served - we totally loved it!
Mostly, I loved the fennel salad: it's color- red pink , was fresh and tempting and so is the taste.
The tortellini- simply delicious!
And the clams seviche- surprising and with a twist.
Loved the evening at The Ninth, will definitely come back

Charlotte Street's most recent stylish resident; The Ninth caught my eye as I was casually strolling by.

The exposed brick walls, it's warm and inviting lighting make this place perfect for dates.

It so happened that I would be meeting the beautiful Erin & Felicia for lunch date on a seriously cold wintery day. Two gorgeous girls to cosy up against the luxurious sofa seats? Yes please!

We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, how very romantic :P

The Ninth, is the 9th venue from Jun Tanaka (formerly of the Pearl in Holborn) and is his first solo venture, delivering simple yet refined French/Mediterranean food ideal for sharing.

We couldn't decide what to order from the menu and let our waitress choose for us.

We started off with oxtail croquettes, which were generously filled with a light and crispy armour.

Next we were presented with flamed mackerel with dill, cucumber and capers, sea bass carpaccio and salsa verde & pickled kohlrabi and cured pork belly with pecorino and mustard leaf.

From the 3 starters, I was a little disappointed with the pork belly. It was a pale shadow in comparison to the seafood dishes. Especially the piquant kohlrabi and salsa verde with sea bass that had citrus, refreshing punch to it.

Just look at her...

The beef was just so tender it melted in your mouth and tasted almost buttery.

However the whole roasted sea bream, served with lemon and miso smoked aubergine was in a league of it's own.

The crisp char of the skin, unveiled a delicate, soft, undeniably moist flesh underneath.

The only shame, was that I had to share this dish with others...

This was served with cavolo nero with hazelnut pesto and the fricassee of Jerusalem artichokes and truffle. They were subtly flavoured and well seasoned making a fantastic complement to the main dishes.

We finished off with mini Madeleines fresh from the oven. These were delicately flavoured and were a welcome finish to a decadent meal.

Overall, the service was flawless, the food simple yet refined and were full of flavour with the strongest contenders being the seafood dishes.

Yummeis: 8/10

A stylish addition to Charlotte Street, everything about The Ninth is just so aesthetically pleasing – from the choice of colour for the awning outside, to the clean, contemporary decor and the dishes themselves. Felicia, Amy and I shared several dishes between us at lunch. We’d originally decided to pop along to try the confit rabbitm but unfortunately it’s only on the dinner menu, which is something to keep in mind!

A quick break from our gastronomic tour overseas to bring you one of the openings in London that I am most excited about. I generally do not like to visit restaurants within the first 6 months of their opening. Many new restaurants undergo significant teething problems whether it be the execution of food from the kitchen or the service lacking polish. In some cases, a restaurant may not even last that long! (e.g. the ill-fated and universally panned Le Chabanais) For me, it is a bit of an acid test to see if a restaurant is good enough. When I go out to dine, I am not fussed about being the first blogger to review a restaurant. I simply want to have a good meal and given that I do not live in London anymore, every time I am in London, I want to make sure that this is the case. After all, there are plenty of places to dine well in London.

Hey y'all. This is a hella lazy post because it's 10pm and I'm drunk on three cocktails and I don't *really* have time to blog at the moment because life is pretty crazy and all. But anyway, this restaurant is too good not to tell you about, and looking at the photos made me all hungry and shit again, so I sorta feel like I need to write about it RIGHT NOW.

Great place for tasty, solidly presented food. Gets a little loud but upstairs with A/C is well worth it. Beef cheek, roast duck, turbot, all standouts. Desserts are also excellent, from the sorbet to the pain perdu. Also a few misses, the sashimi-ish dish we had had very little flavor, and the roast potatoes were completely ordinary. They looked right but had nothing that made them delicious on the palate compared to the rest of the meal. And in the interest of full disclosure, the pain perdu was about 4/5ths amazing and 1/5th both a little burned (yuck) and just too much food (not a bad problem to have!).

The Ninth was a wonderful experience for food lovers! The staff was very knowledgeable about food and the kitchen has earned it's star! We shared Babajuans, oxtail croquettes, lovely bread and butter, a beautiful Panzanella salad, ossobuco tortellini and rabbit sweet corn and truffle risotto. I had the pain Perdu for dessert- no way was I sharing that! My husband had the white peaches and almond ice ream. Each combination was brilliant, but the texture of the sourdough and pain Perdu and the flavorful Panzanella and Babajuans were unforgettable,

The food at The Ninth was tremendous in quality. The sea bass was very flavorful and filling. The mussels on this dish were even better! The wine selection is good and service is helpful as well. Overall- I would definitely recommend a visit when in London.

We had a lovely dinner, sitting at the bar with a last-minute reservation made online. I went for a medley of small plates, which each packed a beautiful composition of flavors: The beetroot tart was scrumptious, the foie gras pasta was a nice mix of surf and turf & the oyster with horse radish was very refreshing. The Pan Perdu is like soft custard on the inside, and a crispy gooey shell on the outside, a to-die-for dessert experience, glad we listened to the staff recommendation! A perfect meal for a perfect date! We can see why this place has earned a Michelin star.

Great cute spot! Pretty small restaurant, but was able to squeeze me in for lunch. I saw this on a list of great michelin restaurants for lunch and boy did it not disappoint! For around $30, you get to choose two courses from a 6-7 choice menu. I ordered the mussels and clam linguine and a chargrilled porkchop salad. The linguine was the best linguine I've ever had! It was a small portion, but had a good amount of seafood and flavor! The porkchop had a nice char to it and was a pretty big portion size. The salad was well balanced with pine nuts and shaved apple slices. Overall, would definitely come back here again!

This is one of several outstanding restaurants in London. I started with the burrata, followed by the orecchiette with black truffle &egg yolks. For my main course I had the seabream fish - which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. However, the highlight for me was the desert. You must try the Pain Perdu and vanilla ice cream. It is carmelized on the outside and sponge cake-like on the inside. Truly unique and delicious! I was with some vegans and they had a delicious meal as well.

Solid modern London fare. Got a bunch of things: Starters: Oysters (meh, didn't like the fried onions on top) Scotch egg - amazing Bread and butter - the only time I've ever cited bread & butter. It was THAT good. Beef tongue tartar - good! Mains/shared plates: Risotto - solid, but not the place to get risotto Fried Gnocchi - delicious! Pickled mussels - really unique and delicious Scallops - amazing! Duck - solid, but nothing special Rabbit - really good prep (fried a bit). Cocktails were bad, get wine. Overall, would go back again, the plates are small, get a lot to share!

You had me at oxtail croquettes. Ordered four of them out of the gate as a "snack" and upon service, they were moneyyyyy. Crisp outside with beautifully braised, moist, perfect oxtail on the inside. Had the rabbit confit lasagna as a starter. Really nice. Great flavor! Could've used a bit more tomato sauce, but overall it was delicious. Pasta layers were cooked well and the rabbit was very tender. Over cooked rabbit can be like shoe leather. For main courses we ordered the whole sea bass and the lamb en croute. The sea bass was in a delicious broth, but the top side of the fish was not submersed in the liquid leading to a nice crispy skin. The broth had some clams in it, some cherry tomatoes and garlic. The fish meat fell of the bone and was cooked on point. The lamb en croute was superb. Puff pastry was cooked perfectly golden brown and the lamb inside couldn't have been a more perfect medium rare. The side sauce was a great consistency and really elevated the flavor of the meat which was super juicy and tender. The artichoke puree was smooth and delicious. For a side had the chargrilled tomato and yoghurt. Lots of flavor albeit a bit heavy for a vegetable side, if I'm being nitpicky. Dessert we had the strawberry meringue thing ( I can't remember exactly what it was called). It was very sweet and gooey, but the tartness of the berries really cut the sweetness nicely. Definitely bordering on the almost too sweet side (still ate the whole thing though!!). Had a couple margaritas and a cocktail called "The Ninth" from the bar. The margaritas were decent, but "The Ninth" was really well crafted. Service was great. Everyone was friendly. Crowd gave a good vibe. If you are one of those who knows they are going to a pricey restaurant and then complains about the portion sizes and blah-blah-blah just skip this place. 5-star performance to me.

The Ninth in Fitzrovia cooks overly delicious food and combines that with truly outstanding customer service. Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia is a street known for its restaurants. Now, The Ninth is one of them - and if you ask me, one you should definitely check out. The place is dimly lit and sports the trendy standard feature many openings in the past two years or so seem to share, an exposed brick wall. Fortunately, despite the trendy wall, this restaurant does not focus on being hip, instead it delivers excellent service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely girl who looked through the bookings to get me a table. I got a nice place by the window. Just for about two hours though, not a problem for me. As all the other guests, I got a brief introduction about the place. Good to know that the chef is always in, the fact that he is a "celebrity chef" was not of great concern to me, but some people might enjoy to hear that kind of thing. Soon another waitress gave me the wine list, and I was quickly sold on the Riesling trocken, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Weingut Heinrichshof, Mosel, Germany. It was a brilliant example of a well-balanced Riesling, beautifully dry with refreshingly strong mineral notes. A great white wine on its own that also was a pleasure to drink with my food. It can sometimes be confusing, when you are served by many different people over the course of a dinner. However, when all staff are very friendly and knowledgable, this is not an issue for me. I would probably go even as far as to say it was nice and fun to interact with all those different and equally professional people. I really liked the Swedish waitress who took my order, she was probably the one who I talked to most. She gave me good recommendations and helped me navigate through the menu. To kick-off my dinner, I ordered the rabbit confit lasagne. The presentation was lovely when the dish arrived in a tiny iron pan. The lasagne tasted delicious and light. The tomato sauce added more nice flavours. The grilled pitta bread with oregano and sea salt was very good, just a bit messy to eat because it was sprinkled with, I believe, olive oil. As the waitress suggested, the bread was perfect to mop up the sauce. The smoked duck breast with caramelised chicory and walnuts was a really tasty main dish. I chose two sides along with it, pommes cocotte, rosemary and confit garlic - kind of melting-in-the-mouth buttery, roasted potatoes - and beetroot tarte tatin, feta and pine nuts on spinach. The crispy skin of the duck was fabulous and the cooking juices in the pan intensified the duck flavour. I thought adding walnuts was a clever idea to give the dish a bit more crunch. The beetroot tarte tatin was a funny thing. I never had a combination of pastry and beetroot like this, and very much enjoyed it. I wanted to taste both sides, but in general, one side would definitely have been enough for me. I think it was the manager, who surprised me by knowing exactly what wine I was drinking, despite not serving my table. His behaviour confirmed what I had already noticed from talking to the other staff, that they are attentive and focused on great customer service. He also convinced me to order a red wine to go with my main. I had a very small glass of the Merlot, Les Fleurs de Montblanc, IGP Côtes de Thongue, France. It was good, however as I expected, nothing I would order again. I would rather go for another glass of the Riesling. I ended my dinner with a caramelised lemon tart, fromage frais with lemon thyme. It was a tasty and light dessert that actually was pretty nice with the Merlot, combining the fruit of the wine with the acidity of the lemon. The longer I sat at my table, the less I noticed the background music - which is a good thing. As far as a remember, they play jazzy, souly songs, easy to listen to, without distracting or getting in the way of conversations. All in all, my food was absolutely spot on, a pleasure to eat, and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and competent. I'll be back.

There are some amazing restaurants in Fitzrovia, and The Ninth has just joined their ranks. A stylish addition to Charlotte Street, everything about The Ninth is just so aesthetically pleasing - from the choice of colour for the awning outside, to the clean, contemporary decor and the dishes themselves. Felicia, Amy and I shared several dishes between us at lunch. We'd originally decided to pop along to try the confit rabbitm but unfortunately it's only on the dinner menu, which is something to keep in mind! Luckily, there were several other items on the menu that piqued our interest - to the point where we couldn't decide and had to ask our waitress to make the choice for us. We started off with the oxtail croquettes, which were wonderful - light and crisp on the outside, with an amazingly tender filling. We chased the croquettes with several raw and cured dishes, including the flamed mackerel with dill, cucumber & capers, a sea bass carpaccio with salsa verde & pickled kohlrabi and cured pork belly served with pecorino & mustard leaf. For me personally, the pork belly didn't leave much of an impression - it was definitely outshone by the incredible seafood dishes. The piquant kohlrabi and salsa verde with the almost buttery sea bass was really delicious, and the flamed mackerel was exquisite. The salted beef cheeks served with oxtail consomme and charred cabbage was so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. Although delicious, again it was outshone by our other main dish - the whole roasted sea bream, which was served with lemon, miso and smoked aubergine. The cavolo nero with hazelnut pesto was the ideal side dish. It was perfectly seasoned, and had subtle flavours that enhanced and didn't overpower the other dishes. We also had the fricassee of Jerusalem artichokes and truffle, which was a great accompaniment to the fish plates. The girls also split an order of miniature Madeleines - adorable, freshly baked, and straight out of the oven. It was all absolutely delicious - although on the whole I think the seafood dishes are the way to go, which is rather unusual for me. The service throughout was fantastic (our waitress did a fantastic job of ordering for us!) and I'd definitely recommend The Ninth for an intimate dinner with loved ones.

Exciting that chef Jun Tanaka bring his very own restaurant to Charlotte street, The Nineth. It serves French Mediterranean style food and all for sharing. That is what dining out is all about! We started with sharing a few of the dishes from the snack section of the menu - Oxtail croquettes, Duck scotch egg, Barbajuans. Then follow on with starters King prawn macaroni, chives and ginger. My favourite was the Rabbit confit lasagna, mustard bechamel.  We also tried the Razor clam ceviche from the hot and curd section of the menu. This dish reminded me of my first dining experience at The Pearl when Jun Tanaka was still working as a chef there. It was then on to the mains and we each choice a dish to share from the fish and meat section, along with a few selection of vegetable dishes to accompany them. It was wonderful to see a range of fish dishes on the menu, especially serving them as a whole fish which make them suitable as a sharing dish. It feels like home and the word family would come to mind. We choice two fish dishes (1) Whole roast sea bream, lemon and miso, smoked aubergine (2) Roast plaice, chicken wings, shallots and beurre noisette. Each one was beautifully cooked. Whole roast quail, smoked bacon, foie gras, lardo and grapes was full of flavour and cooked just right. The grapes made a good combination with the dish and it surprisinly worked. It has inspired me on what you can do with grapes. It's more then a fruit! We tried the smoked duck breast with caramelised chicory and walnuts, which was cooked just right. To go with our fish and meat we tried a selection of vegetable dishes. The Pommes cocotte, rosemary and confit garlic was a taste of Winter, actually more like taste of Christmas. The roasemary brought fragrant to the dish and the garlic was perfectly roasted until soft. Alternative, the Honey roast winter vegetables was sweet I'm taste. We finished our meal with dessert and my favourite being the Pain Perdu served with honeycomb and vanilla ice cream. The Nineth French toast had a crispy outside with a eggy custard on the inside. Tarte Tatin served with rosemary ice cream was a sticky tart, which I felt was on the bitter side. The most interesting part of the dish was the rosemary ice cream. You have a very high chance of knowing it is rosemary as the flavour was very strong. Overall the food was beautifully cooked and the front of house all seem very informative with the menu as well as providing us with excellent service. Dining at The Nineth was like fine dining experience but on a more casual and cosy.

The food is fantastic: I got the toasted fregola and butternut squash risotto with pecorino and the kale with hazelnut pesto. Th first dish tasted like mac and cheese. Reallllly yummy mac and cheese. The kale was massaged with oil so it was soft and springy, with the pesto kicking up the flavour tremendously. I was tempted by the stracciatella di bufala, pickled beetroot and walnuts but I'll save that for my next visit. Also, I highly recommend the Les Fleurs de Montblac Sauvignon Blanc on the menu. It's an absolutely excellent dry white.

I've always seen Jun Tanaka at Taste of London doing those "show me how to cook xyz" type things but have never had the chance to try out his food. Well, when he opens one right in Central London on Charlotte Street, no more excuses, one has to go and try it out (excuse the French use of oneself). STARTERS - King prawn marconi hot starter was decent, but nothing special. - Flamed mackerel, dill, cucumber and capers *** special mention. If you don't mind fishy tastes, this is the starter for you. The vinegarette sauce is perfected such that the fish is divine, unable to help ourselves we ordered a second portion straight away. MAINS - Spiced cod - whilst nicely cooked, we didn't like the roasted cauliflower, it was pretty hard to eat. - beef cheeks - mmmm so soft and tender, yummy. - smoked duck breast - again this is a hard meat to master but it was cooked just right, although slightly harder texture and so if you like your meat very tender this may not be for you. There is a bit of resistance to the meat. DESSERT - Pain perdu, honeycomb and vanilla ice cream *** again special mention. This is basically french toast and it was divine. Unfortunately the honeycomb was slightly burnt inside and I do not lament here because having watched Masterchef I have realised how hard it is to make the perfect honeycomb. Props for nearly getting it right though. The decor was really nice. The waitress was also very attentive. Thumbs up for good dining experience here. Food was pretty good here and I don't think you will be disappointed as the foods are of a high standard overall.

One day, a long time ago, I watched Chef Jun Tanaka win Chopped, and I thought, 'I want to go to his restaurant.' Shortly after I moved to London, that dream came true! I was fortunate enough to go to The Ninth for a preview night before the restaurant opened and sampled a few of the dishes. The food is excellent, small plates style. I recommend the oxtail croquettes, and the pain perdu (French toast) for dessert, which tasted like creme brulee in bread form. Oh, that pain perdu. I still think about it. A lot.

Really loved this! We had the tasting menu, which ended with the best dessert I have ever tasted (pain perdu made from house-made brioche with tonka bean ice cream - SO GOOD!). Service was faultless and the atmosphere was cosy and not stuffy at all. We will definitely be back.

I’d give The Ninth six stars if I could! Exceeded expectations on all fronts - we went for a set lunch menu which was surprisingly affordable for such good quality. The cured sea trout appetiser was stand out for me, but flavours of every course were incredibly considered. Staff were wonderfully attentive, not imposing but happy to help and explain options when needed. Will definitely return again.

Great food and service. I like the concept, it makes the entire experience more communal and let’s you taste more dishes like with a tasting menu. Just make sure to order enough, as the chargrilled lamb was delicious, but a tiny portion.

Reserved in advance - the only place available was the tears, luckily they had place inside, the erase doesn't look inviting and it was windy. Service was OK, but could have been more attentive. The ambiance is relaxed. The food was tasty with well balanced tastes. Presentation was nice but not spectacular. Nice choice of wine by the glass as well as many bottles. Really enjoyed my fish dish and the pain perdu dessert was good.

Went for the Amex dinner. The food was ace. The crab tart amuse bouche was delicious but definitely on the saltier side. That dessert was out of this world. My friend was celiac so I get to have the whole thing on my own and loved every bite of it. The wine list wasn’t great but may be they had another one for a non-set-dinner night? But will go back just for the food!

My favourite London restaurant. Set over several floors in a beautiful old Bloomsbury town house, it's always busy but the staff are charming and the service is attentive. The food is designed for sharing, and you'll want to try a bit of everything. Stand out dishes on this visit were the venison tartare, rabbit pasta and pain perdu.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! I went with my family for a graduation celebration, and they were so generous, they even gave a hand written card from the entire staff! The food was fantastic, from the small bites, the fresh salad, the lush pasta, and the stellar desserts - everything was amazing. Truly one of the best restaurants in London. I absolutely recommend getting the pipe rigate, we ended up ordering two additional portions since it was so spectacular!

One star experience indeed, in the best way possible. Great and attentive service. Food was so accurate, unique and very good and tasty. We really enjoyed everything. Best dish in our opinion was the beef cheek, but everything else we ordered was also so well balanced and full of flavor. Highly recommend a visit!

It is sure that no matter with or without the fire, The Ninth can always keep offering surprises. The veal is just amazing. Personally I don’t like the texture of fat but the veal is so tender and the taste is so balancing. I’m sure that I’ll visit the restaurant again soon!

DEFINITELY WILL VISIT AGAIN. Chef knows how to remain the original flavor of the ingredients while cooking with creative ways. We were amazed at the taste and smell of each dish, especially the astonishing cod croquettes and lamb. And you must try the cocktail. The ninth won't let you down, so does the vibe and service. Really an unforgettable experience.

This restaurant was brought to my attention by a social news article I was reading in which it received great reviews. Being one for trying out new venues and feeling rather adventurous, I decided to book a table for a date night. The dining rooms are clean and tastefully decorated and I felt a friendly, relaxed vibe. The service was just right, we received just the right amount of attention from our waitress so as to keep the interruptions to a minimum. Both of us enjoyed our respective meals, which were delicious, and we found it rather novel that the roast potatoes were served as cubes. I would definitely consider returning and can highly recommend.

The food was a range of great to average. Started with snacks. The truffle bake was a nice kickoff to the palate. The smoked eel was pretty lacklustre. The seabass caparcio was a little too sour on the fish and a tad too much green sauce. The squid pasta was fantastic. Al dente with a great boost of flavour. The dill and meat surprisingly went well together. The veal chop was large in portion and a little too meaty towards the end. Overall a good meal. Service was attentive. Got pretty busy towards 7.

Dine and wine with the most incredible food and perfectly selected wines to go with your meal at The Ninth The best part of this Michelin ⭐️ restaurant is you can share your food at the table . So I’d recommend to order as much as you can from the menu because each dish is unique and is a must try . Great experience, l did not know they had a star and thought they deserved one. Tried the makreel, cheeks, pasta with truffle, lamb and cheese cake . Everything was great. Service was great and friendly too. Relaxed atmosphere. Recommended!
