I like Wahaca. Great quesadillas and tacos. My only complaint is that it does not always taste the same. Different tastes in different branches. Lacking consistency in general but still tastes decent. Their churros are nice. I love them with the dulce de leche sauce. The duck croquettes are a must try. They are so delicious served with a flavourful dip.

Lovely authentic street food, in a cozy street like place with friendly staff. We had grilled chicken tacos, and fried chicken tacos, as well as all Maxican salad. Not to miss their churrose with dark chocolate and the hot chocolate shot

Last week I went to Wahaca in Brixton, one of the most recent locations this chain has opened.  Wahaca, which was started by previous Masterchef winner Tommi Mires in 2007, is a Mexican street food restaurant which has expanded succesfully from its Covent Garden routes. Chains often get a hard time when opening in Brixton, with an anti yuppie protest being staged when Champagne + Fromage opened in the village back in 2013. However Wahaca has restored the historic Railway Hotel which was built in 1880 and has stood vacant for over 10 years, which can’t be a bad thing. They’ve also taken care to integrate into the thriving local community, which you can read more about in this article by the Brixton Blog.

A busy and vibrant scene on the time we dined at the Wahaca Brixton. The usual Wahaca classic, the margarita served and prepared well and fantastic that they are supporting the Brixton beer brewery. The food was to the exacting standards of the chain; fresh, zingy and exciting on the palette.

Glad to have good old Wahaca in the Brixton scene. The place is spacious and the staff are the friendliest I've encountered. Same old trusty menu with a few surprisingly good seasonal specials.

I always love Wahacas and this one in Brixton is no exception. Friendy staff, tasty food and the service was fantastic even though we were a group of 20! I'll be back, of course.

Overall a really good lunch experience at DF Tacos. I went with my daughter and she really liked the kids menu that lets kids do their own tacos. The bowl I ate was also tasty. You can order via your phone and the drinks arrived promptly. There was a little wait for the food but I like to wait if it tastes good. The place has a cool design. They were also friendly enough to let us use their bathroom again after strolling around Brixton a little a bit. So, I would definitely recommend eating here!

Been here twice and it is worth it. Can be quite pricey considering the size of the portions are quite small. However, this restaurant serves amazing Mexican food. The flavours are impactful as well as the innovation when it comes to vegan options. The plantain tacos are phenomenal. This time around we ordered The Cauliflower Rice Bowl, Chicken Burrito, Vegan Corn, Nachos and curly fries. All good stuff. The service is fast and the atmosphere is very colourful. A fantastic gem in the heart of Brixton.

The place is huge so you can walk in with some friends, your couple or alone there is space for everyone. The food is alright but I must say the beef taco wasn't as great as the chicken ones. The meat was so chewy and it was in a big piece of meat. Not the best option to serve it. The service was alright, you need to order the food by the app, so it goes quickly and you can take your time choosing what are you gonna have. The food did not take that long but there are not relationship between customer and water.

Had the burrito here the flavour was good. The price was within reason. I would like to return to try their rice bowls.

A really good branch from this Mexican street food estaurant chain. Expect all the new usual Mexican street food fare: tacos, rice bowls, burrito, all the which I really enjoyed. They were flavourful and packs a punch with the added condiments on the table. I also love the the self-service drink refill station which is free if you choose it. The lemonade is delicious! Big shout out to the staff as well who were all really friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Cool, casual vibes in the restaurant too. Do not worry if you still feel uncomfortable dining in. This place is really clean. The service station was spotless and hand sanitisers around a restaurant available to use. It's really accessible too, with Brixton tube station just a few minutes walk away. No problems whatsoever with this branch. If you're after Mexican food, this place will satisfy that craving.

DF is the rebranded Wahacca. Food was decent. Ordered the fish tacos with some spicy chips (chips aren't spicy IMO) and a can of Mexican orangeade. Was there for a late lunch. The restaurant was quiet so not much atmosphere. I assume it gets busy in the evenings. Nice, clean venue with good decorations to match. Staff were friendly. Would I go again? Yes :)

Loved this place! We got the grilled chicken rice brown & fish tacos - Flavours were so so good in both dishes The fish batter (taco) was still crispy fresh, the sauce didn’t make it become soggy at all - fish was nice & hot inside. Perfect size for me & generous with the ingredients Very happy & will be coming back for sure

DF Tacos is amazing. The food is great and very tasty. The setting of the restaurant is very cool. The food came quickly too. The water was good but £2.50 for a small bottle??? Bring your own water people. I would recommend going with a group of friends and book on the website before you go.
