I often go to this local restaurant. I find it cosy and the hosts are welcoming. The food is great.
Delicious Nepalese cuisine, warm welcoming staff & good ambience. Good quality & quantity of food. Definitely one can explore their wide menu.
This is the bestest place for authentic nepali and Tibetan food. I was totally floored by the laphing and the mutton stew and rice. The set meals are generous for the price. I would suggest the diners to try out the curries and sukuti and the thalis apart from just the momos and the noodles. The ambiance just adds to the experience. Loved it!
Nepalese food done well.
Right amidst Greenwich is this gem of an asian restaurant serving a great variety of Nepalese cuisine at affordable prices and good portions.
The interiors are very basic, ethnic maybe and the food arrives quick
I'd reccomend
Jhol Momos
Chilly Chicken Momos
Spring Rolls
Gol Gappe
Very flavorful and spicy food, spiced very well.
Definitely worth a try if you like your spicy indian food.
Food is great here, yummy momo, great mutton curry and well cooked rice. However, the wait is quite long but I guess it is worth it. Prices are decent, their samosa is amazing and lovely presentation of food.
After so many weeks we had momos in kailash momo restaurant we tried and it was too delicious
First time i tried pork momo and pork fried rice it was roo delicious and tasty
Debdatta Dasgupta Sahay
+3.5
We made a mistake of arriving at the restaurant without a reservation and as a result we were told that we would have to wait for 20-25 minutes. Instead of waiting there, we took a walk in the neighbourhood - always good for building up an appetite and came back in 20 minutes. We were taken to our table immediately this time around. The establishment has set up the interiors in a way that gives its patrons the 'Tibetan' feel - down to their china pattern.
We ordered steamed chicken momo, fried chicken momo and chicken sabhalay. While the momo was up to our expectations, I was a bit disappointed by the sabhalay. The outer layer - the dough, was bit too hard fried and the chicken filling needed a little more spice. Momos used to be our staple food during college days and as such we have very high expectations and the restaurant delivered quite well on that front.
The food is VERY reasonably priced and the staff are quite friendly and helpful - these are certainly big plus points of the restaurant. However, I found the place to be a bit cramped and it is certainly not a place I would suggest to people who would like minimum level of privacy for their discussions over the meal. It was a bit discomforting for me as I am slightly claustrophobic and absolutely loathe alcohol. (I usually do not visit restaurants that serve alcohol ).
If these two points do not bother you - the place is a winner with its good food at a reasonable price. They have quite a lot to offer on their menu in terms of variety and we plan to go back to try them all.
The place is a hidden gem, amazing momos and chowmein, tried the fried chicken and veg steamed momos with veg chowmein and tibetan butter tea. Good clean Nepali /Tibetan food with friendly owner. The service can be delayed sometimes even when there arent too many people in the restaurant but otherwise a really good place to eat on a weekend without burning a hole in your pocket.
Can't get enough of the Momos here. Comfort food, good quality and top service. Tibetan ambience and the owner is one friendly chap. I'd give it 50 stars if I could.
If Zomato had more than 5 ratings probably I would have given that also. Having tried various supposedly 'Indian' food restaurants here finally I got what I wanted. We ordered "Kailash Veg Thali", "Chicken Thali" & "Chicken Momos". To start with, momos were completely luscious, the flavor gives you the best taste also they give ten momos in one plate which was a pleasant surprise. Ahhh! Thalis were just amazing! in each bite you will get the heavenly feeling of 'Ghar ka khana'(home made food cooked by mom). Panner(Cottage Cheese) was so soft, so tasty & it melts as soon as you put it in your mouth. More importantly everything you would get here is fresh & hygienic. Ambience is quite good. I wish to go back to this place again & again.
If you have never tried momos this the the place to do it. Fantastic food and lovely service. We found that little gem tucked away in Woolwich.
They dish out superb food at amazing price. Definitely one to go for if you're in the area. Best idea is to go very very very hungry...did I mention the momos.
Loved it!
It's that simple....Loved it ....
Polite staff, great menu, delicious food, amazing service..... and reasonable too...
Specialized in the Nepali cuisine, they have some good options on the menu. I highly recommend trying their authentic dishes...
My first visit; as the name suggest the restaurant generally offers variety of momos stuffed fillings with chicken, pork and vegetarian options. There momos are very tender and outer layer has crisp to it as it’s well captured the essence of Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine.
Superb authentic food, loved every bit of it...I ordered chilli chicken momos, steamed momos, chowmein, fried rice with Cillian chicken gravy and all of it was soooooooo gooooodddd. Would definitely visit again...!!
Probably the best tibetan restaurant in London. The food is great, atmosphere even better. Try the dishes they recommend. Momo is a speciality and the aloo baley is not to be missed. Plenty of options for mains.
Authentic Nepali food which is quite similar to Indian food. Loved it♥️👏
Highly recommended👍
Cozy little place serving amazing food. Very good momos and chowmein.. If you like spicy food, add their chilli oil on top of everything... super yummy... we got a pack to go as well 😅....definitely worth visiting again
The first time I’ve tried Tibetan food, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant felt cozy and very authentic. The spicy fried momo and the green beans were excellent - highly recommend. I also got the platter of various plates but was not wowed by it. If I were to go back, I’d focus more on the momo’s and the starters which were excellent!
Stumbled across this little gem by accident. The food is divine. Washed my meal down with a 🥭 Lassi, which was nice. You can't seem to eat out now without having to deal with noise. Kailash Momo doesn't allow group celebrations or parties, so it's not only peaceful, where you can hear yourself think or chatter nicely with a companion, you really get to embrace the ambience and enjoy the comforting cuisine. Highly recommended 👌
Absolutely loved it.
Don't know about the comment about anti-baby-restaurant. Saw a pram myself and family seated around it. Yum food. And not that expensive.
Friendly staff, very quick to serve and fresh good food. Been here 2 times and both times had a great experience
