Both the haddock and cod tasted fresh, with good texture. The batter was light & crispy, without being too oily, so didn't make us feel like we'd eaten too much, which can happen at other places. The fish cakes were a good crisp mix of fish and potato, with a light batter. Chips were classic chip shop chips, large and cut from good potatoes... although the taste wasn't as great as I've had... I guess they're using a healthier oil than you might... Ok... reasonable tradeoff.

Great service and I the cod was tasty. Not oily and the breading didn't make you feel overstuffed (which was great). Also a nice mushy pea and I recommend the fish cakes.

I visited this place by chance, and I couldn’t be happier That I find this place. The guy that offer me the table is the most polite being in the world and the lady play along too. I order fish and chips and apple pie with ice cream and beer and coffee. I still coming to term about one of the most beautiful places and experience ever came across. Sorry I don’t remember their names, but I want to go back.

Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve had in the UK so far. Highly recommended.

Foods great, the waitress just chatting by themselves all the time even you asked for service, but they are polite when they talk to you

Delicious and brilliant service. Cod was really well seasoned with a great batter, great size, well cooked and good value for the high quality. They accommodated my half salad half chips request too. Highly recommended chippy!

I had the regular fish and chips (cod). The food was great and comes in quantity. The service was just right. Not too inquisitive and disturbing but also aware enough to take notice when needed. Great atmosphere for the size of the place.A bit on the pricey side but well worth it.

A good experience nipping in to get some scampi, chips and haddock and tartar to takeaway with the bro. Particularly happy with the portion size - the right size. Haddock was good and the right amount of crisp. The chips could have been more crispy but they held well considering we'd walked around 10 minutes before setting down somewhere to open up and eat. The homemade tartar sauce was very good and worth the pound for a cup-full. Had a bit of a wait for the custom demand but it was well worth it! Thank you.

This was our first time in London & we were on the hunt for the beat Fish & Chip..we got the recommendation for this place from a very nice cab drive. Pro tip: ASK THE CABBIES WHERE TO EAT!!! They know ALL THE AMAZING SPOT! This place is so incredible , they’ve been around since 1877 for a reason! This place has so many selections for fish. Not just cod, the fish & chips was fantastic. Crispy, light, delicious batter with GIGANTIC PORTIONS ! But they also have whole grilled fish & baked savory meat pies which are amazing as well. And the staff is very helpful & friendly ❤️❤️❤️ This place is a MUST TRY!

We came to Kennedys our first night in London purely by finding other reviews. We came in their final hour of operations and were greeted kindly, seated, and served quickly. The waitress recommended the haddock to which we both ordered. I also had a draft Heineken. The fish & chips were perfect- fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was very well kept, food excellent, and staff friendly. I’d highly recommend!!

Amazing place to eat fish. I had sea bass with chips, and the size of the fish was very big. And loads of chips! Which were very tasty. The quality of the sea bass was great, it was cooked perfectly so the texture was smooth. Also, the waiter who attended our table was very nice. I enjoy this lunch very much and I will return for sure 😁

Very nice personnel, a very delicious variety of typical England food in a very cosy environment. The ambience is well preserved and a lot of attention is put into small details. Definitely would recommend the experience. Portions are very generous and personnel is definitely the best part. Thank you for your excellent service.

The best fish and chips I’ve tried in London. I love that their tartare sauce is homemade and they give a very generous amount so that you can to enjoy a large portion of chips with just one cup of sauce. Price is very reasonable and fresh fish. Staffs are also one the most lovely people. It’s great to have Kennedy’s as my local chippy shop.
