I go crazy over their prawns. They are so delicious, I can eat just prawns and fulfill my hunger . I also like the beer here. Other items in menu are also great. Overall it is a lovely place
Independently owned pub in Soho, just off Regents Street and Piccadilly, maybe 50 yards from tube station. Sit down dining upstairs. Solid pub food with a really gracious staff.
I agree with a lot of the write ups, one of the best little pubs in the area. Dotted in the midst of tourist city with its restaurant chains, places of interest and theatres, this pub stands out. It is a decent price, down to earth staff and it is surprisingly never too busy.

One of the best pubs around. In such a touristy area, it is amazing what these guys have created. A charming building, with a vintage atmosphere and the best selection of wine and beer. The food is great and the value even more so! A must in every craft beer lover and traditional pub-goer.
A special pub. A fantastic little pub. There are very few places left like this, especially in Piccadilly Circus. Friendly staff, top-notch beer and delicious, good value food. The home-made pie and mash comes highly recommended.
The queens head Piccadilly - With the number of Pubs available in west end you could quite easily get ripped off But not at this venue.
The Queens Head is a good traditional friendly pub, good service a pleasant atmosphere. We ate here Friday evening before seeing The Jersey Boys at the theatre just next door. We found this pub by looking at the map of restaurants and thought this looks good. We weren't disappointed, in fact we're really happy with the food, friendly service and the price. We ate before the show starts, thought it might be crowded but was perfect. We got a table very nice and Lovely old boiling, great atmosphere, not posh but rustic with excellent food, which suited us just right. Would definitely eat there again.
We had :
Starters - Oat crusted goat's cheese, beetroot, mustard & blue cheese panna cotta, croutons, candied walnuts & balsamic reduction
Mains - Slow roast pork belly, sweet potato mash, shiitake, dutch finger carrots, charred pear, beetroot & cherry jam
If you are in central London near Piccadilly, this is the best place to have lunch and few drinks to take a break from busy life. Highly Recommended.
I spent one lonely and delicious meal at The Queen's Head some months ago now but still remember it well. Not only was I tout seule in that I wasn't out with friends, but I was also the only person in the restaurant on that afternoon. I remember being bowled over by the lovely interior of the pub, that had a kind of smokey rustic charm that new build pubs just can never hope to emulate. The service was quiet and efficient and I was served almost immediately after making my orders, probably something to do with the relative dearth of punters in the restuarant section - which was quite at odds with the hubbub of the ground floor. I had a superb courgette fritter with smoked salmon and twice baked chips, followed by the most delicious Eaton Mess I'd ever had the pleasure of tickling my tastebuds with. Was a very relaxed meal after several hours spet chilling in Green Park and I would definitely go back here again!
I will start with how sorry I am this took so long to write. I should have done it immediately, but life got in the way.
This is BY FAR our favorite pub in London. The look, the vibe the staff and of course the drinks. Everything fires on all cylinders. Adding cream to the top, they offer live music. Not just any music, but quality.
Queens Head is cozy and unassuming. You feel like you know everyone there and the staff treats you like family. Frankie, Will, Katey and Nicole are all amazing. When i showed them my home bar, they immediately collected items to add to my fun. Check them out in the pic section.
We just cannot say enough about this Pub. It is always the first one we go to when we get to London and the ONLY one we go to everyday are there.
GO GO GO.........You will NOT regret it.
First class small pub , full of character and style . Visited a Halloween drag bingo night , excellent night organised by the team there , staff were just fantastic , just fun and welcoming , big thanks to Will , who did his best to make sure we were catered for and we managed to get the last tickets going !
Such a breath of fresh air for staff for being so helpful , fun and friendly, would gladly return to sample their cuisine and enjoy another drink in a wonderful pub in the heart of Piccadilly /Soho .
Cheers guys and the Drag Bingo Ladies 😃 10/10
Wonderful "indie" pub right in the heart of Soho, a stone's throw from Piccadilly Circus.
If you fancy a pint in a non-touristy place, right in the heart of the Big Smoke, do visit. Recommended.
Came here for a pint around 10pm on a Friday night. Pub was lively, mostly due to the theatre crowd I guess. Great location to grab a beer if you are in PC. Price was great, not like tourist traps in other cities.
A very cozy, picturesque old pub where you can absolutely enjoy a pint and relax. Very comfortable chairs, very friendly staff, great beer, and surprisingly cheap taking into consideration that the pub is located in Soho.
Definitely worth visiting it!
Didn't eat here, but the staff is very friendly and I love the interior of the bar. Really relaxing and gives you a good feeling. Great place to gave a drink and relax or meet up with some friends. They only accept card.
Dark-panelled Victorian pub in the heart of Theatreland. The chandeliers and etched mirrors are beautiful.
The single-room downstairs bar fills up quickly, and doesn’t easily accommodate large groups, although there is a separate dining room upstairs.
The choice of cask ales and craft beers is limited. Much better options for beer drinkers nearby. Nevertheless, the decor and friendly staff warrant a 4-star review.
Great beer great pub food, and great service. Some people seemed in a hurry to get their check. I don't know why. Sit back enjoy life and the great pub food. Some of the best steak and ale pie I've had in London. No frills just good simple food. Reserve a table to avoid getting turned down. We got lucky, others not so.
The arena where the usual live music takes place is a bit crammed up but overall it’s the cosy little corners that makes this place great. Usually, I don’t rate pubs with a 4 star due to their lack of sanitation in the toilets but the queen’s head toilets were top notch. For the first time in my life I saw premium hand wash which smells great and a hand dryer which is in perfect condition as far as hot air is concerned. The toilets were extremely clean despite being full of people who are dizzy and can’t shoot at right direction, usually you see this a lot in pubs. Smelly toilets and you feel like puking. The cherry on the top thing which prompted me to put a review was that they had a hand moisturiser as well, in a pub, that too in London. This is crazy. I had a wonderful experience visiting this pub. Also, out of context, met a wonderful rapper/singer Danny who has roots in Bombay India, was mind blown by his performance. Please write to me if you can find his instagram handle. Adios!
The reason I love this pub is because of it's calming nature and environment.
Due to its limited space in the middle of Soho this pub can offer you the escape you are looking for from your daily routine.
The stuff is so friendly and professional.
Totally recommend this place if you want to enjoy a nice beer and a calm environment.
