I loved our meal at Bar Remo! Firstly, its location is perfect! Just minutes away from the madness of Regent Street and Oxford Circus is Bar Remo! Such a calming place (especially the basement), the best bit is the house wine and pizza. My wife and I had the vegetariana pizza and a couple of glasses of house wine. The Roman food here is excellent and we highly recommend this place.
Bar Remo is one of those rare Italian places where you don't have to opt out for a pizza or a pasta as the safe choice, because let's face it, pizza is like sex, even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
As someone who is staying away from those evily delicious carbs I still got a great selection of dishes to order from.
Even though there are several outlets of this restaurant, the feel is of an authentic Italian family place; crowded, happy, friendly, loud, and you can hear everyone's TMI conversations. Probably not the best for a quiet romantic dinner for two, but perfect if you are thinking about having a bottle of whine and join the ruckus.
For my "no evil carbs" dish I have ordered the Cacciucco Alla Livornese, or Fish Stew for those of us who can't pretend they understand Italian. The small version of this dish was actually quite big and full of perfectly cooked sea food and fish. The tomato sauce had just the right amount of garlic and chilly to add some kick to it, without overpowering the delicate proteins.
The husband ordered the Hawaii Pizza, which was so big it couldn't fit the plate (that was also big!). He loves the Bar Remo pizzas, claiming that they are the closest ones he tasted to the ones he had when traveling to Italy. Two other guests had different pastas that were very good, any special request for preperation was met with a smile and the occasional laugh; "Madam, your pesto chicken pasta, without the pesto!"
Highly recommended for an easy going hearty Italian meal that won't brake your wallet.
A lovely Italian restaurant just off the beginning of regent street. I chose to sit outside on a lovely sunny day and it was indeed a very good idea as you could just look at the great views of the very happening regent street. I ordered a pizza margarita and frutti di mare (seafood risotto). The food was close to traditional Italian you would get in trattorias . Overall the experience was good.

A friend of mine decided that I had to try this place and tell her if the food was authentic. Apart from having Italian waiters and an Italian "trattoria" style, the menu presents a large amount of dishes quite typical of my country. I tryed the fried calamari and the chicken livers and I found them both to be tender and full of flavour, usually a rare thing if not prepared with knowledge. The portions are above generous and two simple starters can make a fulfilling lunch. The service is fast and professional and allows to be able to simply walk in and find a table without struggle.
This is our favourite lunch spot at work.
The door is great and there is lots to choose from. pizzas are as they should be with great slim dough.
my favourite is Elsa with prosciutto and rocket.
Don't miss out on deserts. They are home made so go for some profiteroles which are humongous!
Surprised. The food was surprisingly good. Service could be better, but it was OK. Be aware smoking is allowed at the outside tables. Blah...
Some of the best pizza and pasta dishes in the west end and excellent value
The food was amazing! The steak with peppercorn sauce was so good and the seafood pasta too! their mojito was really nice Even their burrata salad was nice but the only thing we didn't like was the pizza the tomato sauce needed more salt! But overall the restaurant is one of my fav restaurants now !! The staff were so friendly, they were playing Ed sheerans songs in the restaurant so I was really enjoying food with good music !
This Italian restaurant has quite an authentic atmosphere as most waiters are Italian and the décor makes you feel like you are in Rome. The food is your typical Italian cuisine, with a good selection of the favourite pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes. Recommendable is the Milanese with vegetables and potatoes, as the meat is a generous size and the price is rather fair.
The location is on a cute street off Regent Street making it centric yet quaint. A good sign of the restaurant is that many of their nationals seem to go here themselves. Otherwise the crowd is a mixture between businessmen, couples and families.
stone’s throw away off the madness of Regent Street is Bar Remo, an unassuming but amazing Italian restaurant. I walk past it everyday on the way to work and have always wanted to try it. Being ‘Fat Friday’- the one day in the week our whole team ditch trying to be healthy and get whatever they want for lunch- we decided to give this a go, instead of a dirty burger. I’m glad we did because, HELLO PASTA.
This place is always full to the brim with people, and when the weather is warm, people share the big wooden table outside for their meals. Hearing it was our first time there, the Maitre’D gave us a free glass of bubbly as we waited for our table to free up. Plates of steaming rigatoni and freshly baked pizza streamed past us, the staff spoke to one another in swift Italian, Frank Sinatra crooned through the speakers and the walls were covered in black and white portraits of famous faces- I felt like Tony freaking Soprano. It was fab.
The calamari was shared between three of us and there was more than enough to go around. I was constantly dipping into the cripsy morsels, but everyone got a good handful each. I had the Frutti de Mare- linguine with clams, squid, prawns and mussels in a tomato and garlic sauce- it was chock full of seafood, they didn’t skimp out at all. Ismay ordered a plate of Vongole- linguine with clams in a white wine sauce and Tina the Salmon. All of our dishes were generous and fresh- and they’ll even make gluten free pasta if you want.
It’s not often you come across an authentic, family run restaurant- especially in this part of town. The food is reasonably priced, better than any chain Italian, and genuinely friendly. I really liked these guys! I can’t wait to return to try their gnocchi and pizza.
Its a classic Italian pizzeria with simple decor but attractive one. The price is decent and if you are craving for traditional Italian meal, this is the right place to be.
Bar menu is also decent with some good Italian spirits and cocktails. Food service is quick and staffs are also polite.
Recommended: In drink, Tiramisu Martin
Bruschetta
Pizza Fiorentina
Most Important one, Frutti Di Mare
One of my favorite Italian places in London, the staff is very friendly and the prices are good too.
Altought the pizza is not quite good, you got to try the "tagliata di manzo" and "bruschetta" which are sliced beef and garlic bread with tomatoes.
They have outside seats so why not enjoy a "Moretti" beer in the sun?
Really nice and cosy restaurant , the classic Italian pizzeria that u can find in Italy.
The price are ok and the staff is very friendly .
Even for once you have to try , I recommend tagliata DI carne , lasagna , limoncello , affogato al caffe .
Very very tasty.......
Superb service, fantastic atmosphere and truly authentic Italian food make Bar Remo a must visit if in central London. Thank you from my whole family for a wonderful night cheers Dave.
A homey Italian spot in the heart of London. Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. A friend and I stumbled upon this little gem and loved it. We enjoyed the Buffalo Margherita Pizza and the Pesto & Chicken Pasta. They were able to make both gluten free and both were delicious. We will be back!
Bar Remo was okay. I liked the Calamari pesto pasta dish I tried. My starter was very good! Some other dishes my friends ordered that I tried were a little disappointing.
The location is nice, and they were dog friendly!
Lovely place still currently ordering desert! Had the lasagne and garlic bread and was delicious now ordering mini nutella donuts 😋 the staff and people are very friendly and funny nice to talk to and super quick service and food was within 5 minutes! Would recommend x
I was searching for a memorable dinner with my parents who were visiting London. The restaurant was an absolute gem, I had it on my list for a while, and it did not disappoint. Service made me feel back in Napoli, food tasted proper Italian, both pizzas, salads, and pasta. If you’re ever around regent street, go for it.
Bonus… decently priced. 🤍
Bar Remo is a hidden gem of an Italian Restaurant just off Regent Street in the heart of London. The food is excellent. We ordered the Tagliatelle with mushrooms and the Pizza Margarita and both were superb. The service is friendly, the atmosphere authentic. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it.
The customer service from being approached before even walking into the restaurant to the second we were walking out of the door was amazing. Incredible food with a very extensive menu. Very cosy and relaxed atmosphere with the staff making you feel comfortable, nothing we could have asked for would have been too much for them. All round perfect experience and will definitely be coming back soon!
I went there with a friend and I really like the environment, the atmosfere was amazing and I love our waitress Paola she is friendly, attentive in every ours needs and really professional! We had 2 starters and special pasta , everything was delicious!
Packed italian restaurant with fresh decor whilst maintaining a feel that nothing has changed for 90 years. The best tiramasu I've tasted, ever.
2 minutes from Oxford Circus Station.
First time coming here. Best sea food pasta I’ve had. Ambience was beautiful and our waiter, Alin was hilarious and attentive; looked after us and made sure our experience was optimal. Will be back.
Good food obviously matters, but the staff is at the heart of how good your experience at a restaurant was.
This place had excellent service to go with great food.
Stefano and his team provided great service and made our Italian food experience very memorable on our last day in London for our 4th year wedding anniversary. The dishes we chose were delicious, with ingredients that seemed super fresh and perfectly balanced. We don’t normally give reviews but feel we have to share this one. A must do when in London and looking for friendly and vibrant atmosphere for Italian cuisine. To start, we ordered Gnocco Fritto, Suppli Risotto Balls, then mains were Linguine Gamberoni with King Prawns and Salmone ala Grilia. Reasonably priced for authentic Italian cuisine.
Discovered this place on the run. Want expecting to have such a lovely time... the pizza and pasta are top notch.. the decor is quaint and the staff friendly
This was the 2nd time I've visited this lovely restaurant both times the food was amazing, the staff were so friendly. The atmosphere is great. I'd advise booking as it gets very busy.
Food was mid but we loved it there. The waiter Ricky made the night so fun, as we ordered a meal each, a pizza to share and a dessert each and he let us know how proud he was that we finished it all.
Fabulous food here! Great choice of dishes and caters for vegetarians. Family friendly, lovely, cosy atmosphere. Free WiFi for the kids is perfect too! Highly recommend this place!
Small and charming Italian bistro. Really friendly and attentive service. Menu is quite varied, with most of what you'd expect from this style of restaurant. We were a big group and had a wide variety of dishes, all went down very well.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE ! The ambience was cute and chic, the servers were incredibly polite, the wine paired well with the pasta and the music was a blast from the past. The little venue will teleport you to a rustic location in Italy and the charming Italian team will help you make delicious food choices. Definitely one of my top locations in London - small on the outside but the food packs a punch of flavour. We recommend the pasta more than the pizza - but all the portion sizes are massive for a little resto based in central London.
The best Lasagna I've ever had!!! All our dishes were amazing! Ricardo was the best! He gave great white and red wine suggestions. Plus he was attentive and friendly. Make a reservation here. You will not be disappointed!
