Amazing Argentinian steak! Very good wine selection and the starters are extremely delicious. We have been coming for the last 3 years and the quality of the food has been consistently great.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The owner is friendly and attentive with service to match. The grill combo was really good with ribeye prepared properly. Give this place a go.
One of the greatest steaks I had . London is not a strong spot for carnivores :) but Constancia is saving the day. Great meat, kind service , good dessert. Will definitely visit again ...
Being a steak lover, I can say that Constancia steaks are the best I have had in London! The steak was cooked to perfection.
Love for some argentine royalty meal? Constancia is the place to go!!
I'm eating around the world without leaving London and this week I had Argentinean food at Constancia. It's located in Bermondsey which is rapidly growing into London's go-to place for foodies. When I walked into the cosy restaurant, I was quickly shown to my table by a lovely Argentinean lady who took care of us for the rest of the evening. In my book, when the staff is from the same country as the food, then you will most likely get the real thing.
Friendly staff, good steak. So often a "medium rare" steak is "medium-well" when it arrives, but the steak was cooked perfectly, it just wasn't as hot as I'd like. So, I'd say the steak was pretty good (not great). The garnish (julienne carrots and a slice of grilled pepper) really wasn't necessary and didn't add to the appeal of the plate - a small handful of salad would be fine. The menu is definitely simple - 4 types of steak, some sausages and two veggie options - but it could do with some more sauce options for the meat, and some fresh veggies wouldn't go amiss. But overall, we had a great dinner, and the friendly staff really do seem to care about making this happen, so I would definitely go again.
...food at Constancia Argentine grill won’t let you down and it’s a fraction of what you pay at some of the major steakhouses in London (Hawksmoor or Goodmans).
The meat sizzling away on the brazier is flavoursome, but unless plucked from the coals at the exact right moment inclined to toughness. There's no chance for it to rest when it's cooked at the table.
The Argentinians like steak; no, scratch that – they LOVE steak. And I was going to eat like an Argentinean one Tuesday night a couple weeks ago at Constancia
Well know and prestigious Argentinian restaurant. If you are looking for Argentinian quality meal, Constancia is the place to go. Indeed, it is renowned as one of the best in London.
I tried the Medallon de Lomo Argetino. It was cooked to perfection. Never eaten something similar before. It was excellent. But be careful about the price, which is a bit above the average.
The place is small, but fancy and cozy. Staff was hospitable and friendly.
The food was utterly delicious. Finally some great meat in London !
Absolutely incredible food!!! These steaks are to die for. Top quality, very tender and super flavourful-some. One of the best steaks I’ve had in many years of travel around different countries. Forget super fancy restaurants, these guys have the best meat and know how to cook it. Apart from the steaks, burger was incredible too. That’s how all burgers should be made. Very tender and juicy inside. 99% of restaurants don’t know how to cook a burger, they make it thick and dry no matter what. Not the chef at Constancia. This guy should have a Michelin star for his burgers and steaks. It was just melting, full of flavour, not too big and not too small, just perfect in every way! I would highly recommend this place!
Great place to go for meat lovers! The ribeye was nicely cooked maybe a touch more seasoning would have been better. Melted cheese was really nice when it was warm but you have to get to it fast before it turns solid. Empanadas were all delicious! Personally I didn’t enjoy the chips and the spinach sauce made them soggy. But all in all would really recommend it!
Just eaten at this great restaurant. Felt very welcomed even though we hadn't booked. Had great recommendations from.our waiter for both food and wine. Both were exceptional. Thoroughly recommend.
Ordered 10oz filet steak and sausages meal for two people. It came with warm plate. Steaks are perfectly cooked. Expensive but good for special occasions.
This place definitely took me back to Buenos Aires.
I don’t even know how to start this review...
- Provoleta very tasty, you never can go wrong with one of those (highly recommended)
- Bife de Chorizo, perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, tasty
I missed trying the empanadas, but that will be another excuse for me to come back.
Service was very good, friendly staff
The only “not so good” I went by myself and I was told there was no table available inside fue to bookings, which surprised me because it was 5 pm (ish) and I was assigned a table outside, but the whole time I was there I think only a couple came the rest of the tables were still empty when I left.
So if you want to come, book a table!
One of the best Argentinians restaurants I have been.
There have a great selection of dishes for meat eaters and vegetarians.
I would recommend to start with empanadas and carry on to the parrilladas.
Hugely enjoyed this restaurant, serving Argentinian steaks and wines. We also had two great desserts (Lemon Sorbet with Sparkling wine and the brownie). Yum!
Such a nice chilled place to enjoy a really great tasting steak without the stuffiness of other restaurants. Loved the vibe, loved the food.
We walked past this place a few times and decided to go in yesterday. If you love steak and Argentinian wines than this is the place to go! Had the Provolone cheese as a starter and it was delicious. Great food and very friendly, good service. Highly recommend a visit.
Excellent food, wines and amazing service!! Topping up with awesome desserts!! Really authentic, the owner who is always there at the restaurant is a true Argentine who opened the place 10 years ago!! Although he still maintains his pure accent 👍 if you are in for an authentic Argentinean meal you cant miss this place, a short walk from Tower Bridge and the riverside
Fantastic Argentinian grills! Staff are nice. We had wonderful time here!
Truly recommend this place and also recommend the 'Las Molas' malbec wine which was beautiful. Also the portions are large so be warned. Only critique was the chips weren't great but everything else was beautiful. Also the 8 ounce sirloin steak is plenty big enough for me.
We were looking for real food. Not burgers or fish and chips.
We both had the Lamb Cutlets and side of green salad. Plus dessert.
Wow. Fantastic service. Friendly, helpful staff. Intriguing to watch the cook working on the coals BBQ near our table. Great ambience. Great tasting food. We are definitely going back. Sorry I didn't take any photos. Will though next time.
Keep up the great work guys.
Had a wonderful meal! Rib eye steak medium rare was perfectly cooked (as good as Aussie Steaks!). Full serving of sides are very large (enough to share amongst 3 to 4 people)
It was good, shame no steak was on offer during lunchtime today, but the burger, chips and wine went down well, none the less.
Always a favourite, great quality meat, good wines and friendly service. One of London’s best restaurants for good cuts.
Good food reasonable portions. Expensive prices but excellent table service quick and knowledgeable and friendly. Wine list good too.
