I went to African Kitchen Gallery with my family for a dinner. This is a really good place for hangout. Enjoyed going over there.

Loved the food. Some of the best dishes were tandoori chicken, grilled chicken and French fries.

I would highly recommend you guys to go to this outlet.

I recently tried this place and had a wonderful time here. Though this place is quite small and on a busy day it is almost impossible to get a table here but once inside, the overall experience is just amazing. The food is excellent and is cooked to perfection. The ambience is great as this one is a small, intimate place where you can let your hair down and enjoy yourselves. I would love to visit this place again and would recommend others to try it as well

My son is quite picky about what he eats and was troubling the waiting staff, however, they were quite friendly and patient with him and with us. We happened to try here the food that was previously unknown to us and loved it! The textures and the taste was just perfect in all of the dishes. Highly recommended for everyone who goes to London.

This is a concealed and hidden sort of wonder in my opinion. It is tiny place, even then you might want to book in advance. The meals here are very innovative and unique with an impressive blend of flavors for your palate. The serving staff too is pretty amazing here and they are hospitable and very caring.
Had a great time!

This African restaurant is one of the best places i have ever visited. Its a small place with beautiful wooden interiors. The service is unmatched and impeccable. The owner takes care of the customers personally and is a charming personality. We had ordered lentils and goat curry and were very happy with the choice.

I am so glad to have accidentally entered into this pure African place while I wandered about on Drummond street.
The place exudes authenticity in even the way it is set up. With African masks overpowering the essence and the walls of the place, this restaurant has been a great experience for all of us.
This tiny lace is a must visit if you are in the neighbourhood and looking or fulfilling worldliness served on a plate.

First time to try out African food. The taste is very different from other cuisines like Chinese or Indian, but it’s delicious and tasty. The restaurant is pretty small(capacity of 20 persons maximum?) and there are many art works displayed (mostly wood sculptures and are for sale). The homemade drink is also worth to try. The staff is very friendly.

Had the jerk chicken, oxtail, joloff rice & goat curry which was all beautifully cooked & very tender. Mango flan for dessert was excellent; not too sweet. Service 10/10 from a really lovely owner who genuinely loves giving people his food. Eat here. We also got given a free extra little dessert after we had finished!

My wife and me were there during January 2018. Tiny, cozy place (about a dozen seats), informal atmosphere, clean. Interesting flavors from center-western Africa (Nigeria in particular): we tried fish and chicken with mixed vegetables and sauce, both very good and tasy. Friendly owner, prices are ok.

We were looking for something warm and cozy on a rainy night near Euston. The place exceeded our expectations. Food is very homey and made us feel relaxed. I really liked the honey glazed chicken wings for starter 😍. Very good main courses as well. The place has lots of interesting artefacts on the walls and the owner is friendly and welcoming guy. it was a great pleasure.

Something different from the usual restaurant, a great place to try a variety of dishes. Some dishes are reheated in the microwaved but that didn’t doesn’t take away from the flavour, they can’t stew everything fast enough to make it to order! The ginger beer was homemade and was a really unique flavour

Wonderful friendly kind service and delicious home cooked food! Just stumbled across this place whilst waiting for a train. The food was delicious. Genuine home cooked- had the mango lamb which just fell of the bone and a pumpkin flan which was amazing. Such kind friendly service. What more could you want! Oh and very reasonable prices. If you want somewhere to make a wet winter weekday evening commute special, this place ticks all the boxes. Don’t be put off by two malicious reviews that have probably been left by mean competitors! All the meat comes from Dalston, which as any Londoner will tell you is completely Halal! I genuinely love this place! If you crave somewhere independent you will love this place too! Will definitely come back!

Absolutely brilliant. A lovely, tiny hole in the wall dining space with great natural lighting. Service was great, quick and helpful (describing food and giving recommendations). The food is reheated but this did not lower the quality at all, everything was delicious! The chicken was moist and perfect with beautiful sauce, the rice was excellent and the plantain and sweet potato ball starters are fab. 10/10 would recommend and go again.

Great place! Came here for the first time recently and everything we ordered was delicious. There was lots of choice and really great prices. I would especially recommend it for the atmosphere, it's a really small and unique restaurant filled with artwork and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving us recommendations for what to try. I will definitely be back!

Wow what a warm, relaxed and lovely place to dine. My table of 4 was well cared for, by the front of house guy who was all smiles and wonderfully friendly. The menu covers meat, fish, and veg, so handles varied dietary requirements. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy lentils, amd the chickpeas dish, washed down with a velvety glass of red wine. There is a super cute back garden, I shall have to remember that next time! Hope to return again soon.

Food is generally very good. I regularly bring friends who want another culinary experience to this restaurant. I have lived in West Africa and love the different mixes of spices that one can find at the African Kitchen Gallery. The place is well decorated and very interesting. I have had 1 less impressive experience with the food, which was overcooked on the 10+ times that I have visited. Otherwise, I have always enjoyed the subtle mixes of spices, great sauces, interesting choice of beverages and kind service.

Three friends and I really enjoyed our visit. It was my idea as I've been before and the others all agreed it's a real find! We shared three starters which we all enjoyed - especially the plantains - and then a variety of mains. I had Lamb with Dates which was delicious. Both the staff were smiling and welcoming and were happy to give good descriptions of the dishes. Oh, and the beer is not too hoppy and goes well with the food

If you want authentic food this is the place to go! The food is exceptional, hats off to the owner who runs this place. He is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond to cater to your needs! As a vegan this place is heaven! I have a soft spot for the chickpeas and spicy lentils but there are plenty more options available. They also have great meat options. I have returned to this cosy restaurant on numerous occassions and the owner knows my order! He is thoughtful and kind and one hell of a chef. Highly recommend to everyone!

Delicious food served in a unique and cosy environment. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your meal a pleasant experience. We had the plantation beef stew and curried goat. Both superb. Plus, the prices are also very competitive considering the quality of the food. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻

This tiny restaurant, which has just half a dozen tables, is a testament to its owners' love of African cuisine. The quality of the cooking (mostly carried out off-site and reheated, but not adversely affected by this), organic ingredients and beautiful use of spices is excellent. Even a simple portion of rice and peas is lifted beyond the ordinary with the unexpected appearance of cinnamon. The menu caters to all requirements, whether you're vegetarian, vegan or unable to eat gluten, while meat-eaters can choose from wide range of options. Our mixed group of veggies and carnivores were all very happy with their meals. The food is all marked by the use of spice and seasoning, so this spiciness is the only point on which anyone could conceivably be put off, even though most of the dishes aren't seasoned to be hot. The service is friendly and very welcoming (thanks, Antonio!), as are the surroundings, including a selection of African art on display, which you can buy if it takes your fancy. Prices are also reasonable at around £20 a head including drink, shared starters, main course and coffee. This isn't a run-of-the-mill restaurant, which is exactly why you should visit. We'll be returning with more friends.

My friend and I dined at the African Kitchen Gallery over the weekend and had an amazing experience. This is a restaurant with a very homey and artsy feel where you feel cosy and very warmly welcomed by the host, Akin. The vegan food was very tasty and in generous portions. The great thing about the place is that all dishes on the menu marked vegetarian are actually vegan. The highlight of the experience was definitely the hospitality, conversations and laughs we shared with Akin. We will definitely be going back and recommending it to our friends.
