Great service great fry up. Definately come back. Quaint place that is pretty busy. Not a lot of seats. Lots of break for take out too. Thanks guys.
Cafe 49 is very close to my student accommodation and I have just discovered this gem of a place. My chicken and broccoli pasta was so tasty and flavourful, and the second order I got a vegetarian pasta which the manager (I think?) had the staff add salad on the side which was generous. I am a big salad eater and can tell when a salad is flavourful - and this place doesn't come short of that. The manager also makes the visit pleasant when he is around and I've had lovely short talks on my visits when ordering to take out. Overall, a great value for what you pay - which is so reasonable given extortionate central London prices and I cannot wait to try their breakfast menu soon. Definitely recommend this cosy and homey cafe :)
Great place to have a lunch in London, the only problem that appeared was not working wifi. Good prices, wide range of foods and drinks, very good and polite service.
I tried this place and had a wonderful time here. The food was excellent, especially the pasta and paella which was cooked to perfection. the service was pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. This place is quite neat and clean and the ambience is great. I would highly recommend you to try this cafe.
This cafe serves you with a good hot breakfast which can actually make a great start of your day. Though its not that huge but it's cosy enough with very elegant and good ambiance. The staff is friendly and courteous. I ordered veggie sausages and eggs and they were delicious. They were as hard as I like them.
This place offers the highest standard of food you would find nearby. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and with a lot of care. The menu is hugely varied and you would find a lot of unique dishes there. The portions, for both eating in and taking away, are very generous and the food is absolutely delightful. The service is prompt, efficient and attentive. Definitely recommended!
I often visit this place to have lunch between visiting my lectures and going off to work. I have tried a lot of things, including the lasagna and pasta, and I also really like their sandwiches. They give some of the biggest portions, and they are really good for the amount of money they ask for. They also provide a complimentary banana with lunches. The staff is really nice and friendly, and I love coming here.
An ideal place for a relaxed morning breakfast or brunch. The service is prompt. The food is delicious. Even the tea and the coffee are savory. The staff is friendly. the atmosphere is relaxed and cool and the place has a lot of positive vibes. The portions are generous and the prices are also reasonable.
I totally recommend people to check out this amazing cafe! The food on offer here is so good! I mean especially where take away foods are concerned this might be a clear winner! The taste is delicious and impeccable. The portion size too are humongous! And like the cherry on the top the service here is fabulous with very cordial staff!
This place offers amazing food at very reasonable prices! The breads here are very delectable so make sure you try those. I was a frequent customer of this place when I had been living in the area. I would suggest that you go here for a late breakfast as the place can get very busy during the lunch hours.
This place is situated in my neighborhood and I've always been impressed by the range of items that they offer in the menu. They give an interesting selection of sandwiches and their Italian hot chocolate is a must-have.
The staff is charming and the food generally arrives pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
This restaurant is one of those hidden gems that serve excellent food for very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and the portions are more than generous. The ambiance is lovely with relaxed and cool atmosphere. I love the broccoli pasta in particular and wish they serve it after 2 pm.
It serves very good food at affordable prices. The best and the most recommended one is the "Ciabatta Pollo" for lunch. It's soo delicious and amazing to taste. It's very reasonable and they give you a free banana too. I also tried the pasta with salad, it was also very good to taste. So, all in all, the food is great. But, there is a long queue for the payment which takes up most of your time.
It was really lucky for us that we were residing very close to this quaint little cafe, and happened to see the amazing window display of the freshest and most delicious looking breads. We decided to buy a small olive bread to give it a chance, and since then we have come back regularly to have sandwiches and salads. I am very partial to their bacon sandwiches as they have some of the most amazing bacon and the tastiest breads.
This was some of the most delicious food and had the most enormous portions I had ever seen. The only downside of this place is the lack of room here. It is very popular and the space is quite small, so it can get a little crowded. I often come here for lunch and highly recommend it.
This is a great place which offers great variety in various items. I decided to go for one of their salads which came with four ingredients. I was skeptical about the size of the portion but it turned out to be very appropriate. My companion had a pasta, which again, came in a huge serving. The food was quite delicious and we will definitely be returning here.
Each time I've been here, I've always gotten a croissant and a coffee and I have yet to be disappointed. Most notably, their service is wonderful. The staff is so kind and helpful that it really just makes you want to hang around all day. Seeing it is super close to university it tends to get busy with students, but if you've got time to visit for a weekend brunch then you would be in for a treat.
Cafe 49 is a cosy Italian cafe in Central London, it is a small place, but they still have quite a few seats. My mind is always at peace when I go there, the wooden decoration is quite nice.
The staff is very friendly, always keep the smile on their face.
I usually go there to have a tea or coffee. Should I say that the coffee is really good? One of the best in the area I dare say.
I had food there a couple of times, I really wanted to try their special, Croissant with cheese, with which I was not disappointed, if it would have been for a proper meal I would have taken something else aside, but it was enough at the time.
The pastries are also delicious ;)
Excellent breakfast as can only be expected in an Italian neighbourhood cafe. Fresh and crunchy salads, free range eggs, decent portions, quick service from the kitchen to the bench. We will come back fro more.
Very quick and tasty! Ingredients taste fresh and come out piping hot! The staff are really helpful with ordering and making sure you receive your food
The prices are super what you're getting and with so many things to try, fr bagels to different types pasta/sauces
Please check out the photos for the store like decor and the seating area that outlines around the shop
The only gripe is that during the colder months it can be a little cold to sit down and eat as the door is always open due to diners entering and exiting
Delish!
The most amazing cafe, the staff are so warm and friendly which is so refreshing in London, portions were huge, great value for money and a varied menu for such a small venue but the thing that stood out most was that all the ingredients tasted fresh and great quality which is so hard to find in most bakeries, even ones that charge double the price!! My Bagel was fantastic but the Pasta looked incredible too, and I loved that you could make your own salads. Everything on the menu looked great, couldn't believe the value for how good the quality was, I'd recommend this place to everyone and its conveniently located round the corner from russel Square station.
The full english breakfast and parma are amazing! The price is reasonable. A rarity in central London. The cafe staffs are friendly too! Totally recommend, a hidden gem in London. 10/10 would return when I visit the city again 😋
A welcoming cafe in the neighbourhood. The English breakfast is very delicious, comes in a huge size, and is incredibly affordable. Would advise going there!
Perfect place for a good breakfast at a fair price with lovely people
Bargain for very high quality food, very warm service and apparently super popular in the area. Went in for a quick lunch and had their bagel + coffee for just under £6, was really tasty. Then went for a break and also some pasta for lunch. All very good. Recommended!
Amazing small cafe with warm sandwiches and pasta. The sandwiches are great, with amazing flavors and great combinations. Their chicken sandwich and tricolore are superb. Food is also quite cheap. The place will have a line for takeaway, but is quite quick.
Easily a 4 stars. Convenient cheap and love the speedy service. The sandwiches are just great, the pasta man everything here is just amazing totally recommended. Don't ever go to maui poke better come here and get your cheap food and good as well which can fulfill your needs. Recommended and would keep coming back! Keep it going guys! Cheers!!
A local cafe with friendly staff. The English breakfast tastes so good, the portion is large but it’s not expensive at all. Would recommend a visit!
Food was delicious, staff friendly, portions huge. With my two kids, we shared a full English breakfast and a bagel, and couldn't finish them, however we liked is a lot. Cost - effective.
Great English breakfast for only seven pounds!! Such great value and taste. The restaurant is busy and popping - they’re so popular they need more seats!
I started coming here during the pandemic and honestly it's the best lunch you can ask for. Incredibly delicious and the portions are great. Also if you want a good coffee to start your day, it's the best on the street.
Great place to get a bacon roll. Reasonably priced, good size roll, well-filled, and delicious! Coffee is just ok, otherwise they’d get five stars for sure.
Great coffee, bagels and english breakfast ❤️
Second time I had full english breakfast here. The staff were pleasant as always and the food taste great.
Very nice little cafe near Russel Square with lots of options, both for breakfast and lunch.
Food was delicious with fresh ingredients.
The only downside was that a member of the staff was using a smartphone whilst serving me, which was a bit disappointing.
Other than that, 5 stars easily!
Friendly staff, good food, and some good value offers. Great coffee. Just had breakfast there again and the cherry blossom has come out - we sat there watching so many people take photos of it. They said they’ll be charging £1 to take pictures :)
