I had a beautiful meal with great service. It was wonderful to have freshly made pasta as so few restaurants actually make their own now.
The burrata cheese and ham was delicious as was my pasta main. The ladies who waited on me were lovely and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
Chef Federica was genuinely amazing!!
Best Italian food you can ever have in town and I’m from Italy!
The lobster pasta was amazing along with the carbonara and the prawns, and octopus starters and cheese board.
The best Italian food in London, best place to go with friends and have a lovely night, you always feel home, Italian music the stuff super friendly! Federica the chef make everything handmade! BEST PLACE FOR PASTA!
Amazing place for dinner! They had very nice and friendly service, and the place is big and clean. I tried the butternut squash tortelli with mascarpone, and it was top👌👌👌 And the semi-frozen pistachio dessert was also amazing! Tiramisu di casa drink was also nice. I highly recommend this place and I'd love to return!

Second visit, I recommend the chestnut pasta! Loved, amazing, fantastic!
Good Italian home cooking. I was surprised by the room temperature of the wine ... However, after adding ice, the wine turned out to be really good ... The cheese board was unfortunately a mixture of good and poor varieties ... is it worth saving on quality? ... probably not ...
I recently dined at Mattarello Bolognese with an all-gluten free group. This was my first time eating at the restaurant, and it was great. The staff were attentive, and considerate of dietary requirements and allergies. I’d recommend it as an excellent option if you’re on the hunt for delicious Italian cuisine.
Overall a great experience I asked for the recommended dish as pictured to keep it short and accurate I did also ask for an order of bread that was never brought to my table not a biggie but would have been nice as a 10% percent of Google's restaurant reviewers would recommend the size of the meal was about the size of bunch small but very delicious
Note: Google says it opens at 5pm on Friday yet or actually opens at 7pm
Absolutely one of the tastiest places I have ever been for italian food (coming from an Italian).
The place is in a quite road close to Liverpool Street, it's a quite big restaurant but with a very nice atmosphere inside. There is Italian music in the background which makes everything very pleasant. Portions are massive and the taste is great. I know the chef has had experience in Masterchef couple of seasons ago.

As a native Italian, I can guarantee this is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in London! The restaurant has been recently redecorated and has a great, warm vibe with classic Italian music in the background. The antipasti and main courses were delicious and you could tell they were made with fresh ingredients sourced from Italy. Quality food for a reasonable price! Special thanks to the chef Federica for the warm welcome and thanks to the staff for the great service - I really felt like I was back home in Italy!
What an incredible place! Best Italian food I've had and the hospitality is incredible. The staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. We were lucky enough to mee the head chef who was amazing. We'll definitely be coming back.
Excellent place. Good for gluten free pasta. Had very good service, very friendly staff. I highly recommend the lambrusco.
The food at Mattarello was absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I can't wait to come back!
Delicious food, great service and gluten free heaven! Love love love love Domenico 😍
More of a 3.5 rounded up.
Good service, friendly staff.
I'm always quite excited to try a gluten free Italian, and the whole menu has a GF alternative to a Coeliac standard.
The house red was tasty. I couldn't make my mind up on the bread (no garlic option available, apparently they won't reconsider!) as it has a pastry type texture. Now if I was craving bread, I wouldn't be happy with that, however as it had been so long since having pastry, it intrigued me. It did have that slightly greasy texture that comes with pastry.
For the main, I chose taglitelle ragu. The ragu must have been cooked separately because it was colder than the pasta. I prefer my food hot. The GF pasta also clumped (so was hard and dry in places) and broke up (photo attached). The ragu was alright, but generally the pasta was average, although the tables around me seemed content with their meals. Nothing compared to the freshly home made GF pasta in Shoreditch (VIA Emily Food Roots).
When I mentioned the pasta clumping to the staff, they were very nice and gave me a deliciously chilled lemoncello shot. Again, to reiterate, the staff were very pleasant.
