A wonderful place for porterhouse steaks!
We had been on a Wednesday and had the 750gm steak between the 2 of us with a side of fries! The meat was really succulent and fresh!

We later heard that they have a discount on Mondays so the next time that's when we will be going!!!

Kesinlikle gidince kuzu siparis verin hatta bence hep onunla devam edin. Beef i biraz kuru ve soguk geldi. Turkiyede daha iyilerini cok rahat yiyebilirsiniz ama kuzu farkli:) afiyet olsun.

It's not my favorite kind of atmosphere.  Music is rather loud, and the acoustics are uncompromising because of a lot of hard surfaces (stone on the walls, polished concrete and mosaic tile on the floor).  Better suited for lunch, or a raucous night out with colleagues than a dinner date.

Still, the food was really good.  For meat we had portions from the skinny chops menu.  I had a pork loin chop and a lamb cutlet.  My companion had sirloin steak and the lamb T-bone.  Everything nicely charred on a very hot charcoal grill.  They don't ask how you want you want your meat done, and lamb and beef are served rare which suits me.  If you are squeamish about that (as was my companion) you should specify you want those meats done medium.  We had the green sauce which was similar to a chimchurri or salsa verde.

The vegetable sides were all excellent.  Fantastic beef dripping chips.  Incredibly crunchy on the outside and buttery within.  Great dipped in chilli hollandaise which was more like a very rich chilli mayo (not warm like a true hollandaise).  The chips were so great we asked for a second order.  The other veggies were grilled courgette, chicory with stilton as well as barbecued baby gems with anchovy dripping.  Definitely a theme of vegetables doused with olive oil, cut edges blackened over hot coals and then sprinkled with something salty.  A good idea, and I will try both dishes at home on the grill pan.

The house red at £23 for a 700 ml carafe was an excellent tempranillo.  A real cut above most house wines.  Wine was on the house because I booked with the SoftLaunchFail offer for subscribers to their mailing list who didn't manage to get a table during the discounted soft launch.  Our full price food bill with service was £38.

Always a great place to have chops and steak… with the garlic bread soaking up all the juices. Great sides and drinks… with some fantastic house wines and cheap cocktails. Don’t forget the cheesecake or the bread & butter pudding (seasonal!). Throw in some fantastic staff members who all seem to be having fun working there and you have a restaurant I frequent on a monthly basis.

Visited this pub in Aug 2022 but never got around to give a more detailed review, but felt i owe it a 5 star review due to the very good food they served as well as the efficiency of staff and the nice atmosphere it has. I guess it's better late than never. Thank you for the memorable experience we had and we will be back the next time we are in London. Love the Sunday roast so much that we would love to share the photos here with others. Well done and keep up the good work.

Worth every penny. Highly recommend the sharing Sunday roast for £22. Portion sizes were great and they’re not shy with the gravy which we all know is the key to a good Sunday roast. The staff were all friendly and highly accommodating, especially Andreea! Oh, make sure you get the white chocolate cheesecake 🤤🤤

Visiting Blacklock makes me miss living and working in London, the best of food, setting and service. It makes me feel like the best things in London happen underground. Always underground, chic and luxurious and smooth and friendly. My sis chose Blacklock as my treat to her for a well deserved promotion, and she chose wisely - must be the influence of a wise older brother. It was the first time I've had their roast, went all-in, and it was all delicious, the gravy as always is the star of the show - I could drink a pint of the stuff, and the generous portion of perfect cheesecake, the biscuits aren't hidden. I feel like the cheesecake represents the nature of Blacklock, open and honest and delicious - there is none of the feared LDN pretentiousness that can creep in. We were served by four different people, all lovely and friendly, even though it was busy and probably always is. A big thanks to the team, keep up the great work and gravy - I look forward to returning.

Went for Friday night dinner with a group of friends. Food was fantastic and the service top notch too. Our waitress was fantastic throughout the night, and with the bartender even organised for a little tasting of dessert wines before I settled on a fave. 100% recommend.

Went there for our anniversary and felt welcomed by staff immediately. I am not one to write reviews, however our friendly waiter Mihir made us feel very comfortable and made sure we were set to order bringing us complimentary champagne and surprising us with Mushrooms on Toast. I would definitely recommend this place, great atmosphere and high quality food. One of my favourite places to eat in London!

Just got back from my first trip to London. I went to Blacklock for a steak and left with the memories of a lifetime! I could not recommend this place more if I tried. GO THERE! The food, the service and the atmosphere was amazing! All the staff were coming by refilling our drinks, the manager (George) was WONDERFUL and treated us so good. He was so friendly and treated us like we were one of the locals. I have a gluten and dairy allergy. They were able to accommodate my allergies. Unfortunately though I couldn’t get any of the gravies for meat and that’s what I went for (just be prepared for that if you want to try them bc they’re known for their gravies). But my ribeye was delicious without it. George brought me a sorbet on the house so I didn’t feel excluded from dessert (bc of my allergies) when my friend ordered the house specialty, their cheesecake that is made in a huge casserole dish and they scoop it out at your table in to a dish. The night we were at Blacklock was hands down my favorite moment/memory from visiting London and it was like being in a movie. George, Mitchell, Tom, and another waiter whose name we didn’t get were brilliant and gave us TOP service, food, drinks and the BEST time of our life. Go here! You won’t regret it!! PS: the 6th ribeye and chips were AMAZING!!

Solid place for traditional meats! Ordered the All-in, and the appetizers were good. However, the meats were slightly dry, especially the pork. Was not the best steak I have had, but the steak was definitely the best meat there. But do get the sweet potato side! Charred to perfection and great smoky flavor. Recommend for date night as atmosphere is very nice.

What a great place. Food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is warm. The All In is always the way to go in my opinion. It's a good deal but for anyone who thinks the prices here might be a bit too high, consider this....you probably won't need to eat the next day and so you save on food bills that way!!! If I have to nit pick I would say, I would like both menus available on a Sunday rather than just the roast and that the pork could do with 10 minutes more in the oven..but as I say..nit picking. Definitely worth going here and I will go again soon.

The Sunday roast is really good! A must try if you came to London. The roasted vegetables/potatoes(the carrots omg) are simply amazing so well seasoned. They also have some little sauces that are really good. The meat is also really good, lamb was the best! Staff is nice and service fast Really nice place I totally recommend

Me and my boyfriend had a great experience at this restaurant. Special thanks to our Greek waiter, who explained to us most of the menu and the types of meat they had. All of the stuff was as well friendly. The food was awesome here. Totally recommended!

I will say this is my favorite Sunday roast! You can see it’s popularity when people gather in front of the door before the opening time. Luckily my partner and I booked a table for the busy slot. We were very excited to try all kinds of meat. The portion was giant and the pork was my favorite. I like Blacklock also gave you different sauces to dip with meat. It’s a bit pity that the duck fat potato was over fired, the coat was too hard to cut. The veggie was so delicious as they were roasted until the sugar naturally came out. I have to say I’m not very into gravy but Blacklock’s gravy changed my mind. It was so concentrated like a bowl of nice soup! Not recommend to order cauliflower cheese. It was watery and not much flavor in it.

The food and the service are just perfect. I liked the size of the dishes, not too small, not too large. Very reasonable prices and very very delicious. The only flaw for me was the acoustics, it gets very very noisy in the evening, to the level you cannot hear the people at your table.

The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was good too. However the stake was a bit of a disappointment for us. We are reviewing stakes in London and Blacklock City was shortlisted for one. Although their meat dishes were good the steak was too small to enjoy. It was priced a bit cheap for the same reason. We had to order a lot more food to fill us up. They should sell larger stakes and price them correctly, we end up spending £100 each but very little went for a stake.

[High quality services/ nice wine and food/ Bit pricy] We had 1 kilo porterhouse and some pork belly chops. 1 kilo steak is good for sharing among 4 people. Pork belly chops and chips are also very tasty. Although Blacklock is generally famous for its beef, they do know how to do the pork right. White chocolate cheesecake is also what I would recommend. This place is very busy. Better make booking in advance to avoid waiting.

You get what you expect (and a little bit more). Blacklock is a chain, so go in with typical chain expectations. Of course it's not as good as an independent steakhouse / chophouse (how many of those are left?), but what they might slightly lack in top end quality, they make up for in service, value for money, and the atmosphere they create. Everyone we interacted with was absolutely amazing. Made us feel really comfortable, laugh, and generally made the experience much more enjoyable. We ordered everything from different selections of drinks, starters, mains, and sides and we were happy with every item. Would highly recommend!
