Very good ice cream, made of fresh ingredients and nice for a summer treat with friends. Nice music and ambience with happy people, and not very expensive. The flavours change often, and there is a wide variety.
We stopped in before a trip to the V&A. It was a sunny day and some gelato sounded like the perfect idea. It's a small shop and when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon was full of families and children all eating delicious looking ice creams.
I ordered mango and strawberry sorbet in a cup and my boyfriend had pistachio and nutella in a cone. Every flavour was delicious, really authentically flavoured and tasted natural rather than of flavourings.
5 stars for the ice cream but one half point knocked off for tables that weren't cleaned fast enough (although it was busy so maybe more understandable).
Absolutely top notch gelato. Some of the best gelato you'll find anywhere.
Best Ice cream outside of Italy. Thats it.
I meant to do this post ages ago. Like, back in June or something when it was actually warm. It was supposed to be a teeny tiny guide to the handful of places in London that sell this delectably frozen treat also known as ice cream (ok, not just ice cream
Based mainly in the West London area, Oddono’s main outlet and site of operations is on Bute Street just a stone’s throw from the South Kensington tube station. They also have a kiosk in Whiteley’s of Bayswater and in Selfridge’s although the selection is
Mmmmmmmmmm LOVELY such a delight. Umm, to me Italian gelato tastes similar to Arabian ice- cream esp the pistachio ice-cream it's slightly chewy ( you should try it!!!)
Gelato is very smooth, very light, yet RICH in flavour. If it were down to me I'd honestly recommend trying all the flavours? BUT I'm more into chocolates and coffee flavours the intense dark and sharp flavour more then sweet and delicate fruity flavours. I chose coffee (with coffee beans in it) dark chocolate and caramel. To me, that's pure bliss!!! I go back to this shop every it's really good and the prices are OK compared to baskin robins ????
But nah I seriously recommend this place! Honest!
This tiny, unpretentious, award-winning gelateria sells proper egg-free gelato, with nuanced taste, not too sweet, no unpleasant aftertaste whatsoever. It is located in a quiet pedestrian street. There are only 5 tables indoors, and they are often taken. Normally there are some tables outside, but best to be prepared for take-away as plan B. No wifi, no WC, just excellent gelatos (and sorbets).
I love Oddonos ice cream. I was not an ice cream fan until my best mate took me to Oddonos in South Ken. Honestly the best ice cream I have ever tried.
So, about Oddonos South Ken, Amber you are an amazing girl. Thank you for your kindness and patient always, it is much appreciated.
As I said I never even liked ice cream. Amber always so nice to explain and to suggest other flavours altough I am a devoted fan to Oddono’s pistachio.
Amber is an amazing attentive young girl, thank you Amber.
Also there is another young girl there so so lovely but everybody else are nice too.
I have visited the other branches like the one in Clapham ( north cote road )
The young girls are ever so nice there too. I was so impressed.
Is lovely to go somewhere where people are attentive and nice.
Is so good to go somewhere and receive a little kindness and the best ice cream in the world, for real real. 🤯🤯❤️❤️
Absolutely fantastic gelato. I am only visiting London as a tourist, and I googled "best ice cream" when I left the Natural History Museum, and Oddono's was the highest rated. I can attest to the rating being fully deserved. Without a doubt the best ice cream I've ever had. Highly recommend to anyone, and if I'm back in London again, I will definitely be visiting again.
If you ever need a taste tester or ambassador for Oddono’s, I volunteer as tribute. Literally the best ice cream ever + come here multiple times a week. Staff are legends!
This is our first trip to London and we found Oddono's just minutes after checking in at our hotel. My daughter is allergic to gluten and dairy, and their gelato master was so helpful in assisting her in making a choice that was safe. The gelato she chose today, strawberry, was exceptional and tasted like fresh picked strawberries! The gelato master also pointed out that they had a gluten and dairy free wafer cone that she could use to scoop her gelato, which really made her day! We will definitely be back during our stay, probably daily!
This hit the spot on a rare hot day. We were so excited that we dove Into our ice cream before even thinking to take a picture. I highly recommend the pistachio and cookies and cream.
Really delicious gelato in South Kensington!
We visited on a sunny day in early May and there wasn’t a queue! Other locations we’ve passed - like Hampstead often have a very long queue!
I went for the pistachio which was very delicious!
Oddono's is another award-winning gelateria and one of the most affordable in London.
To be honest, the portion size reflects the price, slightly smaller than the premium brands, but no compromise on taste at all. I would suggest a coffee and caramel blend from their range of flavours paired with pistachio, which happens to be incredibly smooth. And 2 scoops for less than £5 at that.
9/10, 3rd on my personal favourites in terms of taste but with the cheapest price tag.
LOVE this place! Really scrumptious ice cream, have come here for years. Big portion sizes, open till late (11pm on Friday and sat! Big night out 😉) the staff are really friendly and it’s nearby to South Kensington tube station so very accessible! Plenty of hot drink options too and ice cream cakes!! Flavour range is wide - but nothing beats el classica chocolate! Will be coming here for years to come, all my love x
To say this gelato place is good is a huge understatement! It's pure bliss, heaven on earth, stuff dreams are made of, good! I had a scoop of the black cherry and a scoop of the pistachio and believe me when I say it was the best dang gelato I've ever had. The staff are so friendly and if you work in the area, ask the staff if you get a discount. I know museum staff do 😉
