As soon as my best friend Claire, from The Curious Explorers, invited me to a Beauty & the Beast afternoon tea with the amazing Brittany, from The Sweet Wanderlust, I knew that this was a delicious opportunity that could not be missed! The Kensington Hotel in West London created the themed tea in connection with the release of the new live action version of the classic Disney film and this is an experience no Disney fan with a sweet tooth should miss!

Very cosy place that had a chimney and comfy seatings. I loved their drinks. Later in the evening there is live music which gives the place a lot of charm

The staff were extremely helpful on arrival, we had a drink in the seating area near the entrance, we were one of the first to arrive and we were disappointed that at 2.00pm no one came to seat us as we saw others going in, we ended up going up to the desk and asked to be seated. Once there, the service was perfect, the menu was great, the food was top quality. The Beauty and the Beast decorations were amazing, the only slightly frustrating thing was that we asked to have a picture with cogsworth as there was only a couple of him and the manager quite abruptly said no, however the waiters were far more accommodating and brought one over, let us have a photo then took it away. There was lots of food, we couldn't finish it all and we had a great time, it is definitely worth the money. Very special day out.

Admittedly, the classic Sunday lunch has never really been my thing. I’d much prefer a simple juicy steak or a plate of prawns, over the British institution that is the Sunday roast. With London’s ever-changing tastes and trends, restaurants are finally starting to offer some slightly more interesting options – but still including a good hearty plate of meat and gravy. One of those leading the way is The Town House, located inside The Kensington Hotel.

I’m also a massive sucker for grand, luxurious London hotels, so when The Kensington invited me to try their gluten free afternoon tea, I couldn’t resist!. I’m rarely in South Kensington, but whenever I am it’s usually to go to a museum – the V&A is one of my favourite places in London, and it’s such a beautiful area of London.

If you visit London, one thing you must add to your to-do list is afternoon tea. There are plenty of classic ones in this big city but I’m always on the search of finding unique things to do. This includes afternoon tea with a twist, whether that’s on a bus or eating fashion inspired pastry. A while back I was invited to a bloggers afternoon tea at The Kensington Hotel. It was for the launch of Alexander McQueen’s savage beauty exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington, for which The Kensington Hotel has created the “Fashion Forward” Afternoon Tea and it is stunning!

Last Sunday my friend Catherine and I (yes, we both have the same name), went to try out the Kensington Hotel Fashion Forward Afternoon Tea, which has been created in celebration of the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibition at the V&A, which is just around the corner. The afternoon tea included the standard afternoon tea fare, as well as cakes and pastries inspired by McQueen's iconic designs. I've been to the Kensington Hotel a couple of times before, and I just adore the contemporary boutique decor and luxury aspects.

I visited for afternoon tea with my in-laws for the first time, and we couldn't have been more delighted. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from our table to the cutlery, not to mention the exquisite food. The customer service exceeded my expectations. Initially, I didn't expect an afternoon tea to leave me feeling so full, but we ended up taking some of the pastries home with us instead. The sandwiches, especially the cucumber and apple sandwich and the coronation chicken sandwich, were fantastic. The scones with clotted cream and jam were also delightful. The overall experience was nothing short of amazing, and my in-laws were equally thrilled. The atmosphere exudes luxury, and you feel so comfortable that it's like being in your own home. I highly, highly recommend it. I would happily return every weekend.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with my best friend. The service was excellent, and we felt incredibly welcome. The decor and atmosphere were lovely and relaxing, and it felt like a special experience. The warm bites we had at the beginning of the meal along with the sandwiches were absolutely delicious (and we liked the little London eye they were served on), but I found all their deserts to be lacking (only had a small bite of them in fact). So that was a little disappointed. The beautiful mousse rose was a work of art, but had an unpleasant rubber quality to it that did not make it nearly as enjoyable to eat. But overall we had an absolutely lovely visit.

Lovely experience but would have been better if they offered at least one refill of sandwiches, in my opinion.

I found this lovely-looking afternoon tea, and I really wanted to try it. This spot is inside the beautiful Kensington Hotel. We walked in from the main front door of the Kensington hotel, and the staff guided us towards the back to where the Town House is located. Once seated, our server explained their current afternoon tea offering. It is called the London Landmarks Afternoon Tea, and features all the major landmarks around the city. The menu was quite lovely, and came with a London map of all the notable and historic landmarks. The afternoon tea will feature many of these landmarks, and you get to see what they are, and where they are. The map is given to the patrons as a souvenir, which I thought was really nice! First, we were served with their “Savouries” course. I didn’t know we were going to receive anything other than whatever comes on the three-tier afternoon items, so we were delighted! They were all so very tasty! After we were finished with them, they brought out this beautiful stand in the shape of London Eye! Wow! They call their menu “a celebration of London” and I totally agree! It was fun to eat desserts in the shapes of famous buildings. The service was excellent! Courteous, warm, and polite. We were very well taken care of the entire time. Thank you! If you are in London and want to try some tasty afternoon tea, filled with everything that is London, give this place a try!

Such an amazing afternoon tea in a gorgeous environment. The balance between the chocolate elements and the sharper lemon and rhubarb elements made this afternoon tea exceptional (on top of the appearance of course). The starters (pie, crab cake etc) were also amazing and set this tea apart from others. The vegetarians in our party were also amazingly catered for, and not made to feel like second class citizens as they can be in some places. Real effort had been made to ensure their experience was just as good. Thank you!

We visited for the afternoon tea with the theme of London landmarks. The starters were the best in my opinion; particularly the crab cake based on our classic fish & chips. Finger sandwiches had the standard fillings. Its centrepiece are the desserts shaped after Big Ben (lemon tart), Gherkin (white chocolate shell with salted caramel filling), telephone box (mousse) and the Shard (chocolate walls surrounding a carrot cake middle). My vote goes to Big Ben! The restaurant has a bright elegant setting. Their staff take extra care to explain each component to you. This AT isn’t mind-blowing on the food front but carries a novelty for tourists and service is excellent.

We have booked the afternoon tea at Kensington hotel town house to also celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. Everything was well prepared, we are thrilled by the warm happy birthday message card, the teddy bear as a souvenir gift and the delicious chocolate opera with a candle on it. My son may forget this birthday arrangement, but thanks for making him feel so loved which will surely last for a long time.

We had the 'Tale of old Time' afternoon tea. It was a wonderful experience. Outstanding staff. The dining area was very luxurious. The food told a story along with the Beauty and the Beast props. Everything about this experience was fantastic. Would highly recommended.

Pretty interiors, charming staff and excellent food. The buffet starter is amazing with fresh seafood and delicious, light pastries as well as charcuterie and salads. You really can eat well from this alone, but save space for the tasty, roast-inspired mains and the decadent desserts. They also serve excellent coffee. The place was virtually empty when we ate here, so we felt like such foodies-in-the-know given the quality, service, location and outstanding value. The food is on par with fine dining establishments and they were able to provide a lovely dessert option when informed of a food allergy. This place deserves to be popular, but catch it now when it's still quiet!

lhad a very tasty and nice dinner at Town House here in London. It is such a wonderful restaurant to have a good time with your friends or family. It actually seems to be at home, indeed the place is cozy and very well furnished. I was with my family and we all enjoyed ourselves, the service was impeccable: our waiter Abdoul was attentive, friendly and very polite. The food was great, in particular I ordered scallops as starter and sole as main course and I can say they were delicious. The price was fair for what we ate and for the location, and even if it is a bit more costly than other restaurant, it is really really worth it!

Went to the "A tale as old as time" afternoon tea. The building itself is very nice and striking both inside and out. On entry, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea itself was very nicely presented and was a very nice take on the afternoon tea. The gray stuff was delicious!

Beautiful place to check out a proper English style Afternoon Tea. All the finger food was amazing. Ambiance was stunning. Would definitely visit again. They had both the veg as well as the non veg options.
