Be a tourist in your own city, walk aimlessly around London at your own leisure. Covent Garden is an area that captivates you, it’s a shopping and entertainment hub with theatres, the Royal Opera house and more. The West Piazza, has many stalls, retail shops, with live performers. On the lower ground Chez Antoinette first home can be found, it’s a charming French restaurant/cafe. There’s seating indoors and outdoors for some al fresco dining.
It is not really a pub - it is, however, a decent restaurant. Food and wines are good. A bit pricey for a pub, about right for the quality of food though.
I have never eaten such delicious French dishes anywhere. I love French food a lot. This was the best. The interiors and decors were very attractive. The staff was also very friendly.
Superb!! The food is just delicious (try the croque monsieur!!) and the ambience and service are fabulous as well. Compact spot with tables close to each other but the setting is so charming; you feel like you'd stepped out of London and into a cosy little village spot in the French countryside. The staff were kept quite busy but always had time for a smile and to wish you a good day. They also kept an eye out for potential problems. For instance, the table next to us had a big meal and while a staff was clearing their food away, he noticed that the soup was hardly touched. "The soup was no good?" he asked, and the guests clarified that it was only because they had a very big meal and they couldn't finish. It's always a great mark of service that the staff bother to ask about these things even though they're running around all day to take care of all the tables. Would definitely be back myself and would highly recommend!!
Amazing food!! The staff is so nice, we had a very good evening! Stan, Remi, PH, Alexandre thank you for you kindness! We will come back for sure

A must go in the centre of Covent Garden! The breakfast menu is good and has plenty of options for only 5.5£ (a great price for the place where it is located)! The breakfast menu is served until 12:00.
Small cosy place. We were there on a cold winter evening, and the ambience inside was very welcoming. The Christmas decoration made it special. Simple French cuisine with very friendly chef who explained the menu to us, and helped us select the best. I would definitely go back here.

Um espaço muito agradável e com uma atmosfera de uma forma muito especial. Agradável experiência de visitar o espaço, fiquei com vontade de ficar. Mas infelizmente não há mesas, são muito poucos os lugares.
Chez Antoinette is surely a place to discover. Simple but tasty, the tartines are really delicious and brings a new way of eating out in London and Covent Garden. I was there again last week and they have now introduced the croque monsieur...yummy. As they use a special bread it is really to fall for.
It is my first review but not my first visit. The owner Aurelia is great and bring this little extra to the place especially when she tells you about her grand mother and how this concept came about. After that you sit back, look around and see every details which she brought and picked herself (she was interior designer before). Unlike the chain we have proper vintage furniture giving us the homy feeling I love.
Important, it is not only about tartines but daily made soups and desserts by the Head Chef... That's it I want to go back again.
I just had an amazing time at Chez Antoinette! The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. I was not expecting this in the heart of Covent Garden. The quality of food is very high and we had an outstanding bottle of St Emilion to go with it. Congrats to the staff who makes this place very special.
Fab New concept - Bistronomy. What is that i can hear many ask!!! Do like me, tried it in August as I was intrigued and since then i visit them at least once a month. I never had a bad experience ever. Food is excellent, service is superb and the ambience is sophisticated and elegant. This is now one of my top 10 recommended place to discover and enjoy in London. This feels like a tuck-away - discreet entrance, cozy limited seating. I felt like I had entered a classic local corner French cafe. Best part is that it's still affordable given the exemplary presentation and dishes he whips up. It was really a "Bon Appetit"
Very interesting and original restaurant. It incorporates the concept of a Tartine from Lyon, which is essentially a posh slice of toasted bread in which you choose from a selection of toppings to go on top. I went for the Nutella topping as it sounded really unusual and it was very fresh and delicious. It's nice to go somewhere and feel like you've had a new experience with food from various parts of the world. this was definitely the case with Chez Antoinette
Within the delightful Covent Garden there are restaurants and cafes located in every direction you turn. I would highly recommend that you turn to Chez Antoinette. Which is a perfect bubble of French atmosphere and food.
To begin, we tried the French breakfast tea, which was soft and soothing and definitely had taste of vanilla in but our waiter insisted otherwise (I would like a second opinion). They have a limited selection of wines but the 'red' is very nice.
For our main meal we all chose a tartine, (aka fancy cheese on toast) and picked a 'fromage de chèvre frais' which had goats cheese, thyme and olive oil. My brother chose the '3 fromages et poires' mozzarella, fourme d'amber, goats cheese and pears. All of our meals were delicious. A thick portion of goats cheese covered the surface of our crunchy bread, and a nice drizzle of olive oil really worked well and was not too heavy.
My brother also said that his was very good, and in the future I would go for his order as a had a severe case of food envy.
For dessert, the three of us shared a piece of apple crumble, that was also very enjoyable. I could have done with some cream on the side but maybe I am just being greedy.
Both the atmosphere and the service is delightfully French, perhaps sometimes leaning a bit too heavily on stereotypes, (I get the impression that the Amelie soundtrack is on a loop) but it is fun, relaxed and very easy to settle in to.
Overall I would highly recommend Chez Antoinette for a light lunch or tea and cake. However, considering Covent Garden is such a tourist hot spot, if you are visiting London in the search for true British culture, you would be better off popping over to the chippy above.
Gorgeous late lunch in the bustling Covent Garden. Friendly , attentive staff. Good gluten free options. Bad not to have toilets and that the nearby public toilets charge £1.50 per person!

Nice quiet ambience with lovely food. Has the vibes of Paris street cafes, quite enjoyable. We tried avocado tost and sourdough few other tosts, all fine. Brioche is on a different level, top quality our fav with this place must try 🙏🏻 Staff is also great, thanks for everything 👌🏻
The atmosphere was quiet. The setting was lovely. Eve provided service that is rare now. The food was delicious. We shared the octopus starter and had the chicken caesar and the croque monsieur. Dessert was the raspberry sable Breton tart with vanilla curd. Perfect way to end our dinner.
My partner and I have made this charming spot our go-to for brunch, and it never disappoints! The allure of French cuisine is brilliantly captured here, especially in their exquisite tartines and delectable charcuterie.
The atmosphere is remarkable; nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, it exudes a cozy yet vibrant energy.
Whether it's a casual weekend brunch or a special occasion, this place is a top choice. Looking forward to many more delightful visits!
Such a cute brunch spot in covent garden! Artsy vibes, well decorated, and nice staff. Small menu for breakfast but food was great. Perfect poached eggs. Highly recommend!
Really amazing ambience in the lower courtyard of Covent Garden. Just stumbled across it and it’s relatively cheap for London prices. We got the Soup of the day which was extremely delicious😋😋Our server was really lovely and sorted out a few issues we had with the Camembert and was soooo kind to us.
Good summertime al fresco dining in the centre of Covent Garden. Coffee was good but food was slightly above average. A bit overpriced for what you got. Would recommend to stop by just for coffee or some light bites if you’re around this area.
We went there earlier for lunch (starts from 12pm). The staffs let us in for a coffee and waited for their lunch menu. They were very busy on Saturdays though. Much appreciated!
Despite covent garden being the most packed place in the world, right in the centre lies Chez Antoinette Restaurant, which provides top french food and breads in the area. I loved the duck confit and the smoked salmon was good too. Amazing place to dine and chit chat, servers were top top people, very generous very kind. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone. Prices are decent for the quality of food, £15/person inc drinks.
We absolutely loved this place! It’s quirky, it’s fun, the food is delicious and the staff were great. So friendly. Our server even spoke French to my French husband! Highly recommended
