Best Italian restaurant in London, absolutely love the food everytime I go there, so happy they are back to business, I have been missing it sooo much. I am a super fussy Italian food eater and now that I found my restaurant, I just want to share this with anyone who has been looking for proper Italian food in London since years! And by the way, well done for dealing so amazingly with the COVID situation and for keeping all safely, thank you, you are fantastic as always ! See you next Saturday
Every Friday I meet up with my girlfriends for dinner and we always try to go somewhere none of us have been to. This time we chose an Italian restaurant called ‘Da Mario’. I saw posts about this restaurant on Instagram and the food looked absolutely delicious. Plus, everyone was saying how it was THE place Princess Diana went for pizza! How could we not go after hearing that??
Great Italian food!. Since 4 years I am ilving in LOndon, and tried several Italian restaurant, I recommend Da Mario as the best ever! Authentic Italian, as Italian people know food. Everything taste delicious, fresh, well presented and the staff , even if the place is super busy, always nice. A real Italian experience!
Best italian. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and staff very professional. A very good find, we will come back.
A hidden gem. This is a very nice, very small, restaurant. From the outside it doesn't look like anything special, but once you're inside you just know that it is.
It's small - about 30 seats or so - so it might be best to book towards the end of the week.
I had lunch there and it was delicious. I had the Swordfish linguine from the specials menu, but all of the food looked excellent.
When I want a genuine Italian experience, I book a table at Da Mario on Endell Street in Covent Garden. A short walk from the Royal Opera House and a number of West End theatres, Da Mario is a cosy family-run restaurant with charming, outgoing staff and a warm atmosphere ideal for different occasions be it a big social gathering, a pre-theatre meal or a romantic date.
The fact that the food is excellent, the staff charming and atmosphere authentic makes it a great choice especially for this neck of the woods. Would I want to devote a Friday or Saturday to the place - probably not. Would I happily devote any other day of the week? Yes.
Da Mario, a quaint little restaurant on Endell Street in Covent Garden serve the finest Italian food I’ve tasted in the city. On my last visit I had Bruscetta to start followed by Penne Arrabiatta.
I felt like we left London and flew to Italy. The food was absolutely divine, fresh and full of flavour. Everything was cooked to perfection. The red wine Chianti san Lorenzo was fruity and just the right balance, didn’t find it dry at all. The staff were so lovely, attentive and friendly. It’s a family owned restaurant, the owner even took the time to come over, speak with us and we had a good laugh. It’s a great place for an intimate setting with a small group of family and friends. I’m so glad I stumbled across the reviews online and booked this place before our theatre booking. It’s a must visit and I promise you this, once you’ve been here you will definitely be back again, like us.
It was easy to see why Da Mario's has such high reviews - very fresh, high quality Italian dishes with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. We booked our table in advance (paying a £10 per head deposit that was then taken off the bill) and I would definitely recommend doing this to guarantee your space. They have a good range of pasta and meat dishes, however a lot of them contain alcohol. We were also made aware that we had to order starters for our table to help with the flow of the food, which makes sense but was a bit surprising. Prices are a bit high compared to other Italians in London, but I guess that's the added price of Covent Garden! Overall, a good experience.
Nice little Italian places. Good food, nothing extrodinary. Most dishes had alcohol in them, which isn't what i was looking for in lunch. The roadwork made getting to the restaurant a tad more difficult but it wasn't noisy inside. Right sitting arrangement. Table for 2 used for 3 of us.
Thank you for one of the absolute best Italian meals ever! The veal is amazing! And we finished with Limoncello and Lemon Cheesecake... WOW! Excellent service and food! Great time!
Best Italian in this busy corner of London!! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and would definitely go there again.
Fabulous food, tad noisy and wish we got a table nearer the bottle section cos where we were was a bit dark to see the menu properly, food was fabulous!
This might have been our best italian dinner ever. Celebrating our 27th anniversery here was a great experience. The service, the food and the touch of belonging to the family of this place was great. Will highly recommend you to come here, but reserve first because it is full all the time and we were lucky to get a table.
Food was incredible and service was attentive. I had my pram and the gentleman serving me made it so I could have my pram at the table. I had the ravioli and it was a bigger portion than I was expecting and the taste was wonderful. Fantastic Italian food!
Had an excellent meal here tonight. We didn't have reservations but the owner made room for us and we received the best service and conversation. Wish we had found this restaurant on our first night and not our last. The food was amazing. Thank you we will definitely be back when we return to London
Exquisite food from the first bite to the very last!!! Book yourself a table and enjoy Italian heaven 🤌🏻 fantastic service 👌🏻 11/10
