We got there very early before the match so didn't have to queue. The place is very small and all of the tables outside were already taken, but that included a one-man disco that took up a fair bit of space! We were served quickly and there was a good choice of pies and sides. The pie was good and we chose roast tats which were very good but a bit over priced. We found a couple of seats inside and soon got chatting to another Gooner. We enjoyed our visit and would go again.
It's pies and craft beer.... winning formula! I'd like to say I was here on the way to watch a football game but the reason for being in the area was to look at vintage furniture... the pie saved my life! We went for a "Theirry Henry - Venison and red wine" and a "Charlie Nicholas - Scotch Pie". I washed mine down with a can of Beavertown Neck Oil but I'd rather a can of vintage Tennents (pictured) if they were still in production. The pies themselves had a good pastry and rich with filling. Miso satisfied.
The food won’t let you down if you’re looking for a quick, filling and reasonably priced bite. My greatest source of fun during my visit was looking at the pies on display, and spotting the connections with the Arsenal stars they’re named after. If you fancy fish pie, you might want to order a “Sole Campbell”. You’ll see the “Vieira’getarian” among the meatless options, and one of the pies with cheese is called “Wenger Knows Best”. I’m not too sure about that; I know better than to order anything with stilton – but that’s just me being fussy.

Piebury is not only devoted to Highbury but to Arsenal too. This is the best spot to grab a bite before a game. Their menu includes gourmet savoury & sweet pies, generous portioned sides and a wide selection of real ales and lagers. Their taste in music is pretty damn good too.
If you bump into the owner, you’ll notice that he’s a chatty guy but hang in tight as he’s got quite the Scottish accent.
Delicious Pies and Arsenal-themed. What more could you want?! The old turnstiles turned into tables outside are a genius touch!
I imagine many of you will agree with me when I say, if there is one way to improve a meal it's to wrap the whole thing up in a delicious and buttery pastry parcel. So imagine the excitement when my flatmate and I happened upon an award winning pie shop on our way to East London one day. Literally a two minute bus ride from our house and we found Piebury Corner, just a few metres down the road from the home of Arsenal.
With its proximity to the Emirates so close, it's no surprise that the inspiration behind this establishment's fine pies is the legends of Arsenal's past! That's right, each pie is named after an Arsenal great and all are filled with incredible fillings.
When we arrived, the shelves were stocked with golden crusted gourmet pies ready to be devoured by the awaiting patrons, hot or cold! However, Piebury Corner is no one trick pony! Their shelves are stocked with a wide range of British products and with the shop boasting a full license you can even match your chosen pie with a pint of fine British ale or beer! What's more, they even stock the famous Eat My Pies Scotch Eggs, a real treat that I had discovered only a week before!
I went for the Ray Parlour, a hearty mix of Pork, Apple and Stuffing. This combination is a proven success when wrapped up in a huge stodgy bap from the local hog roast but would it work as well in a pie!? I couldn't help but treat myself to a Black Pudding Scotch Egg too, these things are just too good.
The pies certainly lived up to their award winning titles. The Ray Parlour was divine, filled to the brim with huge chunks of succulent pork and surrounded by sweet and flavoursome apple and stuffing! The pastry was light and buttery, with a delicious crust just like all great pies should have. The Black Pudding Scotch Egg delivered as expected also. Heated in the oven with crispy breadcrumbs and a runny egg inside, it was always going to hit the spot. The black pudding gave it a great texture and flavour and I could very well have eaten another one of them!
If you're a lover of pies then hurry up and get yourself up north. The Piebury Corner awaits to fulfill all your meat filled pastry needs. Probably best to give it a miss on match days but apart from that, head down and get yourself one of their finest, accompanied by a pint and plonk yourself outside in the sun ready to experience a taste sensation! Some of our other favourites were the Ian Wright and the Thierry Henry!
Enjoy!
We The Food Snobs x
I took my son there for the emirates cup. The pies were the best i have ever eaten ba
r me grandma's. And as for me Julies gravy!!!!!! See you guys for the stoke game xx
Great pies, great owner, and great staff. The place is packed on Arsenal matchdays, but I always stop here beforehand because the pies are just that good. Even on the most crowded of days, the service is still fairly quick. I'm a craft beer fan, and Piebury also stocks a good selection of local stuff. Always one of my first stops in London.
Loved this place friendly staff, great pies and they each are named after Arsenal football legends.
Wish it was bigger yet love that its small and only open certain days. I hope they have a second larger shop soon. But this is perfectly small and food is fairly priced and exceeded culinary expectations
Just fantastic pies. Really high quality ingredients and excellent pastry. The roast potatoes are excellent too. Obviously an Arsenal theme and busy on game day, but we'll worth a visit even if you don't care about football and on any other day.
Amazing pies. Vegetarian pie with vegetarian gravy was like a magical life moment for me. God bless Piebury and Jeff, our Arsenal Stadium Tour guide for the recommendation. The guy out front with the two turn tables mixing the mad jams makes this place a must try.
Very friendly people serving very good food! More importantly, this is the very first scotch egg that I actually enjoy! Been disappointed by all the scotch eggs I've had so far but Piebury Corner has sure changed my mind! Will definitely be back for more when I'm in the area again! :)
Just outside of the Arsenal Stadium, this place predictably gets packed before matches. But what most people don’t know is that this place has probably THE BEST meat pie in all of London.
Great place. Lovely food too. Loved the peas probably more than the pie (which was also excellent) can whole heartily recommend.
Quality pies😋... jerk chicken, mash and gravy😊 even got a cheeky cherry pie to go. Top job guys, pre-match nosh, 10 out of 10. Cheers👍🏾
Quality ingredients cooked to perfection.
Service is always friendly and efficient, even on match days when the pace is frantic.
Highly recommended.
One of the best pie shops I have been to in London. On match day it can get particularly crowded as pies even take after Arsenal heroes in previous years. Try the Tony Adams (steak and ale pie). Great value and some good beers on offer as well.
