The roseberry is located in the magnificent 5 star hotel, the mandarin oriental Hyde park of London. It serves a delicious afternoon tea consisting of fish, turkey or even vegetarian sandwiches as well as some petite yet delicious pastries. The scones are to die for!! They also serve some macarons and bite-sized deserts which are superb! The service is a bit slow to be honest.

With a beautiful location in Knightsbridge and with a simply stunning interior, The Mandarin Oriental is one of London’s most beautiful and luxurious hotels. It’s a really special place for Mr S and I as one of my close friends got married there, Mr S and I celebrated our first anniversary at Heston Blumenthal’s two-Michelin starred restaurant Dinner and we’ve enjoyed lunch at the hotel’s more casual restaurant, Bar Boulud.

Afternoon tea must be one of London’s ultimate treats. In today’s world of healthy smoothies and super salads, sitting drinking a glass of champagne before indulging in sandwiches, clotted cream laden scones and sweet pastries and cakes reeks of hedonism. It takes skill to produce the perfect afternoon tea – a delicate balance between indulgence and restraint. After all, an afternoon tea should never strain the seams of this season’s Versace frock, nor should you feel that your dinner engagement will need to be cancelled due to lack of appetite.

I went here for afternoon tea on my birthday. I was a truly delightful experience, I’d love to go again. They had a large tea selection and you can ask for refills and ask to try different teas. The sandwiches tasted great and the staff offered us refills. They don’t refill the whole plate but bring a selection out for you to choose from, this is a good option as you must save room for dessert! They accommodated my dietary requirements. The scones were light and warm. I wasn’t expecting the stand to hang from the decorative branch but it saved a lot of space on the table. There was a selection of jams, one of them being rose petal! Looking at other reviews, the pastries seem to be themed on a rotating basis. The ones I had appeared to be New York themed. Overall, 5/5 experience!

Second time we've been there for afternoon tea. First for Mother's Day and today! Absolutely loved today's afternoon tea. First afternoon tea ever that I've finished all the pastries! The sandwiches were really lovely. I wasn't sure about the sandwich with Wensleydale cheese & figs and was certain I wanted it replaced, but I'm glad I didn't as it was my fave and had a second serving of it! I can't recommend it enough. So much better than the one for Mother's day. We got a beautiful seat by the window. My cousin got a lovely birthday pastry. Service fell a little short as staff kept forgetting to bring certain things we asked but were really friendly still! We will come back again.

Overall wonderful afternoon tea. They tick all the boxes: delicious and creative sandwiches, warm scones with 3 choices of jams ( lychee and rose jelly is my favourite), fabulous desserts with great attention to the details, the tea blend is subtle and balanced. The special part is that you can choose different tea when your teapot is finished. We had 3 different teas out of their 40 teas list! The service is friendly. A nice and relaxing atmosphere here, we spent almost 2.5 hours here. Highly recommend for special occasion!

Exceptional service, nothing was too much! Had the option to choose different teas per course, the staff were attentive without been intrusive. We were celebrating a belated birthday and they bought out a chocolate and hazlenut tart! I would also like to give a special mention to Tarek for his exceptional service. Highly recommended and I'll be returning to try another seasonal afternoon tea!!

Came here for coronation afternoon tea. Best coronation chicken sandwich ever. Great to have free flow tea, and good selection of tea. I would love to try their sparkling teas and non-alcoholic drinks selection next time. Really great afternoon spent in a beautiful lounge cafe.

Beautiful venue, delicious food and very good service. Particularly impressed with the gluten free high tea (had sandwiches, scones and desserts all gluten free!). Pricey but as expected.

5 star establishment, afternoon tea provided a selection of well executed sandwiches pastries. Good tea selection. From past experience I recommend the Mandarin Karak and moonlight. The staff were well presented, courteous, and knowledgeable. A solo violinist played along to a backing track setting th atmosphere. Smart casual dress is suggested, better still dinner jacket however there were some guests in T's so obviously relaxed . My only negative comment was that the service for me was slower than I have experienced or come to expect elsewhere. We were not voluntarily ask if we required sandwich top up once gone and needed to attract attention to request both additional sandwiches and tea with periods of us waiting without either.

Great ambience, outstanding service. We tried the wine pairing festive afternoon tea and ended up with £100+ per person 😂 if you are just in London for the experience, I’d recommend to go to the Ritz, as it’s more classic and slightly cheaper. But the service in MO is better no doubt. I am just a bit disappointed by the star-shaped scones and desserts are too sweet to my taste.

We had a good time at afternoon tea. The service was great and the food was nice but the experience just wasn’t the same as the setting we experienced at Fortnum and Masons. Really great food but for $275 with a few glasses of wine, it left us lacking a bit.

I had the chance to go to Rosebery with a friend and it was an amazing experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Ivan with a smile and he took us to our table. The ambient and design are amazing, the comfy armchairs and decoration are just as beautiful and the vibe makes it all better. We had Roberto explaining everything and recommending us the best teas to go with every part of the experience, which I gotta say, the food throughout was just delicious and filling, shout out to the chefs. The whole Rosebery team was very helpful and always kept a smile when serving, asking if everything was OK, making the experience feel 5 star. Even Lorenzo, who was not attending our table when he saw me asked me with an amazing smile how everything was and if we were enjoying, and hoping we kept enjoying everything until the end. It was such an amazing experience that I cannot recommend enough. An amazing team ready to make your experience 5 star and memorable. I wanna thank Roberto again for taking care of us, he was exceptional. Even though it was a busy afternoon, he made sure we were taken care of and the service was smoothly as possible. 10/10 would go back again and again.

Great ambiance. Tea were superb. The hand-made pastries were nice. However, the sandwiches and scones were not impressive. Staff were very friendly and service was great.

We went for the Wimbledon afternoon tea, excellent value, so much food I thought I would explode, wasn’t prepared for the second round of sandwiches, everything was delicious and the chef/servers catered to my food intolerances. Had a great time, no rush, lovely experience.

The rosebery serves the best afternoon tea in London. The scones are so fresh, the sandwiches are full of flavours, the best selections of tea, the environment is beautiful and the seatings are spacious. Most importantly the service is impeccable, felt extremely welcomed by the team and a special mention to Alessia, she is the most attentive and hospitable to make sure our experience is of the top notch! I wish her every success in her career! I would definitely come again and bring my loved ones!

Had afternoon tea in many different places but this is by far one of the best for food, experience and customer service. Lily and Kiara are extremely attentive, helpful, friendly and pays attention to details. Checking if we got any tea left in the cup, does the sandwiches need refilled, any other questions regarding the pastries, do we want to try a different beverages etc very very legendary customer service and genuine smiles. Will definitely come back again in the near future. Thanks Lily & Kiara!

Fantastic afternoon tea experience. This isn't the place to rush or hurry but to enjoy an afternoon. The staff are very attentive without being invasive. Service was spot on and well executed. The sandwiches are a perfect size and the scones are good. The pastries are not overly sweet and they are decent but do lack the 'wow' factor. Children are welcome and the staff interact with them well. The children's menu is cute. Fully recommended.
