The restaurant decor had a lovely modern feel, the service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door right up to the moment we left, the staff were helpful, polite and attentive.
Sadly, I was surprised the set lunch menu only had two dishes to choose for it each course. The food was well cooked and presented, but just lacked that certain something. It was very nice and pleasant, but nothing outstanding.
There were some really good touches, the amuse-bouche was lovely and there was a good selection of breads and butters. Then after dessert, there was an impressive selection of complimentary petits fours.
We ate on a quiet day with not many diners therefore the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere. We were the only ones to be seated in the smaller dining area, however we were a bit surprised when the only other couple we seated right next to us, which felt rather odd considering the empty tables in the area.
I enjoyed a Saturday lunch after the Royal Academy summer exhibition and was amazed about the cosy and tiny setting of the restaurant. The service was impeccable and transferred a feeling of being en famille which made the good food even more enjoyable. The hotel in which the restaurant is located is a bit in the back and needs some looking for it, which is nevertheless worth the effort. If you need a moment's breath combined with a good lunch after spending your money on Piccadilly or in Saint James' (your hat maker might be next door, cum grano salis), this might be the place to be.
Magnific place to enjoy a great dinner. The environment is sophisticated. The food is wonderful and the ambiance is excellent. The service is great and the wines are wonderful as well. Well worth spending a couple of extra euros for a magnificent meal experience.
William Drabble, perhaps inspired by his Norfolk upbringing, has long been known as a champion of seasonal local produce – even before it was fashionable to cook that way.  And, it’s served him well, Seven Park Place, the fine dining restaurant at  St James’s Hotel and Club has held a Michelin Star for seven years without a break and has four AA rosettes.  I was delighted, on my recent staycation, to be invited to try the food for myself.  With the added bonus of only having to walk upstairs at the end of the meal to go to bed…
This was our first visit and it was a very good one. The cuisine was up there with the best. My lobster starter was easily one of the best I've had (I had more than a few...). The grouse dish was also top notch. My friend's foie gras and rabbit dishes were also reportedly spectacular. We also enjoyed a selection of English cheeses, again absolutely delicious. The service very good as you'd expect. The restaurant is elegant and quite so no problem hearing your conversation. It's worth pointing out that the wine list is comprehensive, somewhere in the region on 700 choices I was told. Fair to say you'll find something to your liking. Bon Appétit
Great ambience, service, food and wine. This is the best restaurant experience we have had in the UK and the manager, sommelier and staff were fantastic from start to finish - both friendly and professional and we were not rushed in any way having the degustation menu over a 3hr plus time frame in the evening. Next time we are back in London this will be the restaurant of choice. Thanks for a great evening!
We went to this place for afternoon tea on a recommendation. They had a very extensive afternoon tea menu including sandwiches and different kinds of teas and pastries. I ordered their homemade scones served with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam. It was fresh and presented very nicely. You could also have wine along all this. It was one of the decent menus I have ever come across. Very nice place. Definitely recommended!
I went to this place with my girlfriend today for lunch. It was a small place with few tables but very relaxing environment. In lunch we just had two options but in a la carte menu there were plenty more. Over the entire menu was impressive. For starter we had mousse of lobster and for mains roast tranche of plaice and both the items very beautifully cooked and served. At the end we had desserts, though very less options but they were amazing. we loved this place and we are definitely returning.

St James Hotel and Club was offering a chocolate masterclass with one of the hottest chocolatiers in the name of Paul A. Young. I signed myself up and hoped to learn a few things about the art of chocolate making and drinks pairing.
Seared foie gras with roasted pears and ginger syrup: a beautiful generous serving of foie gras with sweet poached, ginger syrup and wafer thin slices of fresh ginger - my wife’s favourite of the night.
I missed out on the creations of William Drabble back in his days at the Aubergine, which, despite its Michelin star, had not been a public favourite. The addition of Seven Park Place by William Drabble to the 2010 Michelin list definitely pushed me towards reserving a table. I understand a lot of people deride the Michelin guide and while I am not a worshipper, I am inclined to its recommendations, perhaps just out of curiosity to see how right (or wrong) it could get . St. James Club & Hotel quietly sits behind the Ritz in a modest building. Though it lacks the high-ceiling grandeur, it is swanky in the same way as Cartier or Bulgari on Old Bond Street , cosily plush . Through the bar, we squeezed through to the main restaurant , which was divided into smaller rooms to accommodate twelve covers ; love the intima cy. Amuse Bouche The lightly seared tuna was sparsely encrusted with black peppers, giving a small kick to the capsicum gazpacho. A very appetising start. Warm mousse of Lobs
Lovely hidden away restaurant in St James's Hotel and Club. Tiny but plush. Lovely service. A great lunch deal, 3 courses for ÂŁ29.50 with a glass of wine included - not that I stuck to the lunch deal! I had a very fresh scallop starter, and a lamb medley for my main - apparently the chefs peferred dish. I chose well on both counts. I had wine matched with my dishes and the red with the lamb was excellent. I wish I hadnt gone for dessert as it wasnt really up to the standard of the other two dishes, far too sweet for my taste, raspberry and raspberry something. But I would definitely return there, and the staff were lovely
Seven Park Place is having a relaxing and interesting setting for dinner. The food is even better, presented immaculately like a piece of art but it looks and smells so delicious that you can't wait to ruin with your knife and fork. Never too complicated but enough elements to make it interesting and full of flavors that you know will be heaven in your mouth. The service is sublime, professional to the highest order but with enough humility to not be stuffy. I have been twice and can't wait to go again. I also recommended to so many friends and even to my office staff.
Experience @stjameshotelandclub culinary journey at Seven Park Place by William Drabble. With best of British produce, every menu is created with attention to detail to serve Fine French cuisine. Sharing my recommendation for your next visit 👇🏻

Honestly one of my most favourite Michelin restaurants in London. It is very discrete in a quiet location. The food is executed so well. It is no fuss, just focused on bringing out the best of the ingredients. Continues to be great. Perfect for a special occasion. Also I have so many dietary restrictions that they took it all into consideration. Was brilliant!
I went for a birthday lunch, and even though it was a two-course lunch menu due to time constraints, the appetizer for the 2nd course was beautifully presented and the food was absolutely delightful. The taste was exquisite, and the beautifully decorated plates added to the experience. The perfectly cooked fish just melted in my mouth. The staff was incredibly welcoming and provided us with exceptional service. What surprised me even more was the handwritten birthday card from the restaurant staff, which will undoubtedly be a lifelong memory. It's truly an amazing place. I've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, but this one stands out without a doubt. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend it to others.
I have been dining for the fist time at this amazing restaurant. I order the set menu with the add of one extra course. The food was very good, amazing ingredients, everything prepared with care and amazing presentation. The front of house team was very caring and I was surprise by the professional work from the young girl that was serving us. Amazing wine cart. I definitely suggest this restaurant.
I don't give 5 stars, but this place deserves every single one. We were sat at the bar, a nice setting and atmosphere, before our meal and had a great cocktail, very smooth and tasty. Once sat at our table we have picked the wine pairing with the 7 course meniu, the food was delicious and perfectly explained as well as the wine pairing that complemented the food. The service was absolutely excellent and without a fault, we have expressed our gratitude for a very well job done, would not believe the staff has only 3 weeks there. All of this over a 3h45min experience in a very nice and cosy environment. Highly recommend, it is worth every penny.
Superb!! The best fine-dining restaurant in London! Each dish is carefully and perfectly cooked. I was astonished by the quality of courgette fritters, how can they fry them so delicately!? Great service and atmosphere as well. Visit here annually and they never disappoint me!
I celebrated my birthday with my mother there on a weekday lunch. We both ordered the set lunch 3 course menu at £ 59. (+ service) Food was delicious! They had ran out of their house champagne so substituted it for another bottle for the same price, which I thought was a great touch and also exquisite! We particularly enjoyed the skate wing dish, the petits fours and the attentive service! Note: if you are looking for a place with ambiance, I’d say this is not the place but if you want to eat good food and have a business or intimate lunch ( during weekday) it is a great go to place. ( maybe it’s more vibrant on weekends / evenings?)
We have been coming here for years, never a dud meal. Last visit was for the tasting menu, I think it was the best meal I have ever eaten, it was magnificent. I would rather one meal here than 3 elsewhere.
Absolutely perfect. The ambience was very smart and comfortable, the service and staff were elegant and attentive, and the food was just outstanding. I particularly liked the foie gras and the banana parfait - the parfait reminded of banana fritters I had as a kid. I really loved this restaurant and I will definitely come back again. Thanks so much!
Wonderful experience in classic modern British style of cooking ! I love the soufflé here ! Also the starters are light and delicate ! The main course are hearty and a lovely glass of red wine will cut through it ! Beautiful experience
Apart from my venison main (which I suspect is because I’m not comfortable with rare meats other than beef), the food was incredible. The courses in between were divine, with the artichoke soup being my highlight of the night. The scallops were the best I can remember I’ve had. My passion fruit soufflé dessert was delicious but so enormous in size, I could only manage 2 bites. And yes, the soufflé fills the entire dish down to the bottom! The staff were fantastic bar one, due to his cringe worthy attempt at being pretentious. Expect intimate settings, maybe slightly too intimate for some as there were a few awkward moments with staff hovering too close. Overall, great food and we will be revisiting. Prices reasonable for the standard delivered.
A seven course celebration of Britain's finest produce.
Turning a French fine-dining menu on its head, The Menu Gourmand, was cooked entirely without meat. It was bliss with every bite.
The star of the show, A Pithivier of Artichoke stuffed with Duxelles Mushrooms took the fungus I adore to another hemisphere. Out of the two desserts, the Whipped Vanilla Cheesecake with Strawberries and Crumble is a keeper. One I could wake up next to for the rest of my days.
Aside from the genius cookery of William Drabble, the wine pairing was spot on. Incredible service from Matteo and the team made the evening one to remember. Five stars for Seven Park Place.
Lovely building and great restaurant interior. Very intimate and the lighting is perfect. Staff very friendly and not at all pretenous or snobby.
All dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. Go ready to eat as it's a lot of food!
Space is to be redone and moved to lower level and work is to begin in a few months. Visit soon!
Highly recommended.
A fantastic dining experience with incredible food. Thank you to the staff for making our special occasion so memorable!
An interesting & Happy luncheon experience in London,
food was great more like french style I guess, staff was helpful, cleanliness was ok, price? Its London it is expensive
The only think why I gave 4* it is because I found a little bit dirt in my tea cup, I am not tht fussy, I just clean it by my self
Overall, its quite interesting place and experience, will I go back?? Maybe...:)
I went expecting rich people shocked or surprised can’t put a word on it was my birthday then 2 black men came out and handed me a birthday gift it was big and long interested I looked inside there it was the black thing I had wanted it wanted and it was a birthday cake this place is great
Last night went for a meal at @sevenparkplace in the @stjameshotelandclub , a lovely little hotel near Mayfair, we had to have the Tasting menu as that's the only menu available on the weekend, The food was fantastic and full of flavour the first course which was Lobster was probably the best Lobster I have ever had, the service was friendly and very helpful, (gave us a very good wine choice) the restaurant not being that busy still had a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, all in all I would 100% recommend this place its was a fantastic evening.
