The restaurant is spread over two floors. The furnishings, flowers, decor make it look very homely

It was pretty full on a Saturday night with a lot of families with young children - many of them Italian - always a good sign

The service is friendly and brisk

The menu gives a small choice of starters and mains. many of them very appealing and it was hard to make a choice.

We also chose a very good Masianco Pinot Grigio from the extensive wine list

The food we had was uniformly excellent

A starter of scallops with cured pork cheek in a cauliflower sauce was excellent (capasante Saltate in Padella). The clams succulent, the park crisp and salty and the sauce a velvety moreish experience

My wife' enjoyed her starter of the Parmigiana di Malazane. A half aubergine with tomato sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan

For mains both my wife and daughter went for the lasagne con asperagi - asparagus lasagne - both greatly enjoyed it. I had the Paccheri pasta with nduja ragu - a spicy, gutsy sauce - excellent

We finished with thin slice of pineapple with scatterings of finely chopped mint - refreshing finish to a very good meal.

Prices are mid range, portions on the small side, however the quality of the food, the excellent service and the great ambience make this a great find

We went here for dinner yesterday and we loved this place. This place was great; cozy atmosphere, great sitting area, very welcoming and attentive staff. Food was great, the flavors, the ingredients; I really liked my pasta, it had authentic Italian taste. My wife had roasted rack lamb and she said that was great. We loved this place with great Italian food and lovely staff. We would love to visit this place again.

I love Pentolina.
a family run business with excellent food, atmosphere, products and with real taste of Italy.
I have been eating in many "Italian "restaurant around London over the past 15 years and I often find the quality of the food and service to drop after 1-2 years. Not in this case, always a great lunch or dinner. Today, seating outside, I had the Tomino with Honey and Almond for starter and Spaghetti with Zucchini as main. Superb.
And a real Espresso at the end of the meal! priceless!

Gillian Pearson. I have been twice to Pentolina and on both occasions i have had a wonderful meal, the second time was better than the first.

The staff are lovely and Heidi and Pierre are very charming. Their complimentary bread basket & oil is yummy. The food is delicious!! I am a chef so i appreciate good and well cooked food.

I will be back again as still dreaming of the scrummy iced lemon cake!!!

Pentolina is one of those italian restaurants you look for and rarely find: food is honest, fresh and delicious; staff is helpful and decor and location are just a plus. You'll never want to go back to a chain italian restaurant anymore. Btw, no pizza listed on the menu but... You won't miss it!

True Italian restaurant. Amazing food, not many dishes but each of them is carefully prepared. Extensive list of delicious wines. Quality proven by the number of Italians going there on purpose. Calm neighbourhood in West London. Definitely worth going again and again

Great little surprise in the Olympia- Hammersmith area. Off the main roads, in a really quiet little neighbourhood. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. They have the ground floor and the basement floor. Lovely decorations. Lots of vintage pieces. The menu is simple but full of choices. They accommodate for vegans and gluten free. We ordered a starter and a main. Portions were pretty good and the dishes were cooked to perfection. Quick service and lovely staff. I recommend you book in advance if you have a date or the family to invite.

We had a fantastic dinner on Nov 1, 2023 at Pentolina. We were seated downstairs, right at the back in a semi private alcove. We were served by a young man and lady and they were extremely helpful and efficient - wish we knew their names! My scallop pasta was divine and the hubby enjoyed his rabbit ragu pasta. Pasta was definitely home-made. The prices are also quite reasonable. We’re only visiting and wished we knew the restaurant earlier in our trip. A real Italian gem of a place!

Stunning little Italian restaurant in between Hammersmith & Kensington. I had the pasta with crab, which was delicious and full of flavour. The waitress was very friendly and helped to recommend a wine to us. You get warm bread with olive oil/balsamic whilst you wait for your food, which was a nice treat. Highly recommend and would visit again!

Great restaurant for a couple’s Valentine’s date. Complimentary olives and bread provided, as well as a stylish and cosy front room. The Insalata da Finocchi was incredible as a starter, and the egg pappardelle was very well cooked with a tender duck ragout. Sometimes the service was a bit slow to refill drinks, but that was the only issue I had. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding Italian restaurant. Food delicious, perfect customer service. Very clean and tidy place. Fenomenal steak, fresh pasta, descent wine menu, just missed some risoto and lasagna in the menu. Apart of that, everything was perfect. We've got a table in the cave downstairs, very romantic and special table for a date night with your loved one. Thank you for the staff, really really good. Compliments to the chef... Will definitely come back soon.

Great atmosphere. Really busy on a Tuesday which is always a good sign! Had such lovely food, crab pasta was AMAZING. Portions are slightly small, but I was happy with the size.

We had a lovely, spontaneous Saturday night dinner at Pentolina. We showed up without reservation but the friendly staff managed to squeeze us in and the food certainly didn't disappoint! All courses were super tasty and the aperitivi generously mixed :-). Busy night but the service was still quick and very professional. Certainly coming back.

A gem of a restaurant in a very nice corner of West London. We had a three (and a bit) course meal each plus two bottles of a very nice Muller Thurgau for a very reasonable price. Highlights of an overall delicious meal for me were the octopus soup and the two pasta courses - one with crab and the other with Italian sausage. All accompanied by delicious focaccia and very nice and attentive staff. Ultimately we were lucky enough to have a table outdoors however the interior looked very nice and cozy! We will definitely come back!

A lovely cosy restaurant with very friendly staff. The food was exquisite as well as the atmosphere, the perfect balance of intimate, welcoming and uplifting. The menu is not too big but filled with delicious Italian choices. We were recommend wine to go with our meal and it was perfect. Can definitely recommend and I look forward to visiting again. Also the tiramisu was a highlight!

I had the most delicious scallop pasta dish, one of the best Italian meals I’ve eaten outside of Italy. I would highly recommend.

Lovely little neighbourhood Italian with a fab wine list. Beautiful starters. The mushroom lasagna main was good but could have done with a tad more seasoning.

Great neighbourhood Italian spot. Family run joint. The food was good and the service was good too. I would say portion size was smaller than I would have liked.

Pentolina serves authentic Italian cuisine, and their commitment to quality ingredients and traditional recipes shines through in every dish. The menu offers a diverse range of options, from classic pasta dishes to mouthwatering pizzas and delectable seafood. I started my meal with the Caprese salad, and I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. The tomatoes were ripe and flavorful, the mozzarella was creamy, and the basil added a delightful herbaceous note. For the main course, I opted for their signature pasta dish, the Tagliatelle Bolognese. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente, and the rich and hearty Bolognese sauce was a true delight. Each bite was packed with layers of flavor that reminded me of the traditional dishes I've enjoyed in Italy.

Very welcoming and accommodating and we had a wonderful meal! It’s a super charming restaurant and the food was great and service well paced. We were a table of 6 and we all tried each other’s food and every starter and main was well prepared and super tasty. Good wine advice as well!
