Absolutely brilliant service from the staff all round. Went for drinks but service was so friendly we stayed for dinner. Risotto is a favourite of mine. The menu change is due soon and the mushroom risotto will be listed. Worth a revisit. The supper clientele later on demonstrated that Grato is a firm favourite with discerning locals.
We came here for dinner. I recommend making a reservation unless you go when they first open because they will get busy and it makes sense because the food is delicious and the staff are very nice and helpful. They have a range of wines and drinks and delicious foods. We had the burrata with bread to start. For our main meals we had the handmade pumpkin ravioli and the handmade tagliolini brixham crab. Both we amazing and we unfortunately too full to have dessert. But maybe next time. Price wise you are getting what you pay for. If you’re looking for a delicious Italian restaurant, this is the place!
Food is most excellent. Location is in the neighborhood, has locals, reservations are a good idea as the place is cozy.
We visit a lot of Italian restaurants as they always have the best wine. The food here was a huge surprise as it was NOT “par for course bland Italian”. All our courses were uniquely tasty and dinner was served hot from the kitchen.
The appetizer of warm prawns on top of a cold zucchini spaghetti, avocado, and cherry tomato salad was unique and tasty.
We shared two dinner plates. One: the Handmade Tagliolini, Brigham Crab, garlic, parsley, fresh chili, lemon zest. One: Pappardelle pasta with wild boar meat sauce. Both plates were terrific however the Tagliolini plate was most superior in its textures and creamy flavors melted together.
I have 3 stars for atmosphere only because smoke from smokers outside wafts into the small indoor space.
One of the best finds in London. Ordered the sea grilled bream and pumpkin ravioli—not too overwhelming and the chef did such a great job of enhancing the flavours of the natural ingredients! Tiramisu was also rich and tasty. Personally, one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Service was great, very attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back :)
Great restaurant in Kensington. Chanced upon an open table and reserved it promptly. Was warmly welcomed by staff, who were all especially hospitable.
Food was on point. Meets expectations for the prices charged for sure. Service continued to exceed expectations, highly attentive and able to predict our pace of meals/if we needed drinks/anything else.
The food was slightly undersalted to my friend who has a heavier palette but I found it at the perfect level to taste the sweetness of the ingredients.
We the vongole pasta was off menu and recommended as a special.
Absolute perfection. We come here every time we are in London and grato never disappoints. The truffle pasta is scrumptious as well as the carbonara. Hands highly recommend the bruschetta. All in all wonderful.
Food was absolutely delicious, you can really taste the fresh ingredients and the passion put into making the food.
Service was quick, efficient, friendly.
Thank you Nery for your wonderful hospitality. The food was delicious and thank you to the manager (apologies as I didn't get her name) who was so welcoming and polite. Would definitely visit again.
I came here with my friends while in London for spring break. Out of our three nights, we had dinner here twice. The food is amazing (ordered the crab tragliolili and spinach malfatti). The atmosphere was also great and staff were so kind and friendly. Would love to come back whenever I return to London.
Congratulations Efren who was an outstanding waiter, always attentive and not intrusive, Uriel very good still a little pushy. The food was SUPERB. EXTRAORDINARY each ingredient fresh and expertly placed. Very good wine list. The tiramisu was out of this world. Greatly recommend.
The hand made ravioli here is sublime. Its a veggie dish that eclipsed all the other dishes in terms of flavour. The rigatoni was delicious as well. I need to go back for the ravioli and the rest of the menu. This is a solid Italian joint if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed.
The neighbourhood cozy quiet vibes caught my attention, love it. I had an asparagus as appetiser & rigatoni salsiccia as main and glass of Barbela D’Alba. Food presentation, taste and portion is nice but the only caveat is the construction on front of it- which block a beautiful garden view.
Just plain but very exquisite Italian food! From the starter to desert amazingly tasty Italian core dishes in a very silent neighborhood with great service. Of course higher priced but worth it.
Grato is a cozy Italian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features classic Italian dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, Grato is a great place to enjoy a delicious Italian meal in a charming setting.
Small, cozy, casual spot with delicious food, and warm, friendly service.
THE BEST Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. Service was amazing and prompt and they graciously accommodated our very large group. Pietro was so helpful and even held our fussy baby while we ate. Absolutely amazing experience and couldn’t recommend enough. We will definitely be back next time we’re in London.
