I went there with two friends of mine. The waiter that served us was very knowledgeable. He explained all about the dishes and that its all organic and locally produced and their dishes are not the traditional dishes you would usually get for the same ingredients. Since they make seasonal dishes so their menu changes as per the season so they have paper menu not the normal leather cover menu but i love that about this place. Its also 100% HALAL for the ones that matters its certified so you can check. They do not serve any alcohol here either.

As it was three of us we all ordered different things off the menu for starters and deserts but for main we all wanted to have steak. Literally everything we had here was amazing no complains about food or the service. My friends & I had a great time at your resturant.

Just to add food here is towards a pricey range bill came upto £150- £160 for 3 of us and yes you can have a meal at high end resturant for that price but i can't fault anything about the food it was heavenly.

Really incredible experience. The longest I think I’ve ever sat to enjoy food. A true fine dining experience, the 7 course taster menu and paired drinks were exquisite. Special mention to the Muscat cocktail too. Highly recommended!

Good British cuisine restaurant but not exceptional. The meat was tender, vegetables were very good and the gravy was pretty bad. The place is a little bit small but it was fine and clean. The price is very high so be careful. The dessert was very good but extremely light in quantity. Otherwise it’s worth to experience this restaurant at least once.

We promised the owner we'd throw in our review, its been almost a year but nonetheless, it was good, i gave atmosphere 4 as our table's placement was somewhat poor (next to a door that had cold air seeping through it and a seat which positions you so your back is directly to the side of whoever enters the room, mostly the waiters), though the atmosphere itself was fine as some will find it cozy i assume. The food and drinks were well made! I'd hope to visit again on our next trip.

Brilliant food. Had the halal Sunday roast, and the quality of the beef was exceptional. It was a 9/10 only criticism I would say is that Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and the roast potatoes were not soft enough. Otherwise, I would have given 10. The sticky toffee pudding is a delight for those people who fancy desert. All round great experience.

Ive been looking for a halal roast dinner place in London for a while and this is the first I've found. Their menu is completely halal and non alcoholic. The decor is nice and the restaurant is very small. Has a very relaxed atmosphere. The gentleman that served us was nice and polite, explaining everything to us. We ordered the beef and lamb options. Both had all the trimmings and more. The Lamb was probably my favourite though. I'm really happy to see a classy fine dining style halal restaurant. The only recommendation I'd give is that I think they should look at simplifying what's on the plate, because there is A LOT. Another thing I would recommend, they have a tiny little outdoor space outside which seems to get a lot of light, but clearly not being used for anything yet. I would highly recommend they look at tidying this up and put something decorative in there to be something pretty to look out onto.

We had an amazing meal with the family. The restaurant has been on our wish list for as long as I can remember and it was absolutely worth waiting for. It is perfect in every way. The staff are lovely, the food is incredible and it's worth every penny. We were fortunate enough to get to try each of the dishes because each member of our party agreed to order a different one. When we come back... Im going to have the following all to myself. No sharing. (Can't recommend enough): The sourdough bread and date butter was a lovely way to kick off the meal do will do that again. The panko chicken to start Followed by the roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. For desert if I have space... Because we struggled this time around, I'd try something different, maybe the apple tartatin. We tried a few cocktails my favourite was the mojito with the molasses. It's off menu deffo worth trying. Other members of the party had the off menu, chefs special Chateaubriand and couldn't stop raving about it. So deffo worth asking for.

I have to start by saying, this was nearly a 5 start from me, however I stopped at 4 because I had the lamb shank roast and I found it lacking in something… I cannot put my finger on it, it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the beef, which I preferred to the lamb. Everything was seasoned really well and delicious, I not going to lie I would have been happier if portions were bigger for the price but that’s just me being greedy. The gravy were great, could have done with more, in heinsight I should have just asked for more. Lastly the mocktail my wife had was on point, first place in a long time that knew how to do a proper mocktail. Customer service was on point. I will be going back for sure.

Absolutely amazing experience at the Great Chase. The service that was provided was brilliant, the waiters were very receptive and were attentive to our needs and this was during Iftar which as you can imagine is a very busy period. Excellent prayer facility. The food was perfect words can't fully describe it to be honest. It was light yet extremely filling with each course having it's own unique taste and flavours. Look forward to returning.

Middle Eastern style Sunday roast, using various spices for meat and roasted vegetables. I prefer the beef the most, the lamb shank is tender and juicy but the seasoning is not to my taste😂 Grilled vegetables are cooked perfectly and spiced. If you wanna try different types of Sunday roast, here is a good choice. .

I always wanted to experience local food wherever I travel so I was looking for halal Sunday roast. Saw the previous reviews so I decided to try the restaurant out. Not disappointed! Food was delicious and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was a bit out of the way from where I was staying but nonetheless accessible via underground or bus.

Came here with my mum as we have been looking for halal roast places in London. We ordered the slow roast lamb shank and wow it was delicious. So much flavour and the gravy was so yummy! Most importantly the customer service is amazing, didn’t get his name but he was a fellow gooner and so lovely to talk to! It was literally service with a smile and we will most definitely be back when we come to London again! This place is a must try :)

Welcome to The Great Chase, a delightful restaurant nestled in the heart of Islington, where culinary excellence meets a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was no better way to spend Father's Day than indulging in the mouthwatering Halal Sunday Beef Roast and a selection of delectable desserts. The Main Course: The star of the show was undoubtedly the Halal Sunday Beef Roast. I savoured every bite of the tender beef roast, perfectly cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The accompanying Roast Potatoes, Roasted & Spiced Carrots, Parsnips, and Cauliflower added a delightful medley of flavours to the dish. The Tenderstem and Neeps Puree provided a unique twist, while the stuffing, Yorkshire Pudding (which was not my favourite), and rich gravy brought it all together. It was a symphony of flavours that truly delighted the senses. My wife's choice, the Slow Road Lamb Shank & Harrisa Gravy, was equally impressive, with the lamb cooked to succulent tenderness. The Mocktail: To complement our meal, we decided to indulge in The Great Chase's Raspberry Meringue mocktail. It was love at first sip! The mocktail was a refreshing blend of sweet and tangy flavours, with the raspberry infusing a delightful twist. Served in an elegant glass, it was the perfect accompaniment to our main course. Dessert Delights: After such a satisfying meal, we couldn't resist trying the desserts. The Chocolate Mousse was a chocolate lover's dream come true. The velvety texture of the mousse, paired with the Cardamom White Chocolate and Hazelnut Crumb, created a harmonious blend of flavours. The addition of Raspberry Coulis, Orange, and Honey Comb elevated the dish to new heights. For a lighter option, we opted for the Apple Tartine Lemon. The Cinnamon-poached apples added a hint of warmth, while the Tonka Ganache and Crispy Pastry provided a delightful contrast in textures. The Apple Coulis and Cornflake Gelato added a touch of freshness that balanced the richness of the dish. Our dining experience at The Great Chase in Islington was truly exceptional. From the tantalizing Halal Sunday Beef Roast to the divine desserts, every element of our meal was carefully crafted and presented with flair. The attentive service thanks to Francesca and the inviting ambience made our visit even more enjoyable. We highly recommend The Great Chase to all food enthusiasts looking for a memorable dining experience in Islington.

I hate to have given 4 stars on the food. It may be just me but I thought the Yorkshire pud was overcooked and the harissa sauce that came with the shank lacked flavour. Otherwise the roast menu was all very very tasty, yummy trimmings etc. Desserts were excellent! I'd go there again. Nice for a date

Delicious Sunday roast, the addition of the crispiest, tastiest falafel was such a nice surprise. We had the beef and lamb - both were prepared well. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was balanced by the sweetest orange slices - definitely give this a try. Have the tiramisu if you’re a coffee addict. The fingers pack a strong punch. Also really warm and friendly service. If you’re Muslim there’s also a little prayer area you can use with sejadah ready.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a renowned fine dining restaurant, "The Great Chase," and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was impeccable. The ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, with soft lighting and beautiful decor. The staff was attentive and professional, without being overbearing. The menu offered a variety of seasonal dishes, each one more tempting than the last. In conclusion, I would highly recommend The Great chase for a special occasion or a night of fine dining. It is a culinary experience that should not be missed.

My wife booked a table for us for the 9 course menu (actually 10 if you count the shortbread cookie). We were both extremely excited and having looked at the menu, it wouldn't be out of place in a MasterChef final!! Firstly, we were warmly greeted and looked after until our table was ready. The staff were super friendly and conversed in a pleasant manner. Once at our table, we were given the menu for the select 9 course meal and asked if we wanted any additional drinks. We chose to go for the pre-selected x4 drinks that would compliment the meal/each course. The timing between each course was perfect. We were not rushed or felt like the dishes were coming out too soon after the last one had finished. It was impeccably timed. Each dish that was served would be explained, the ingredients/flavour combos and how best to eat it (although we were also encouraged to eat however we desired). And the pre-selected drinks would just finish off each course and reset your palette, ready for the next course. The thought/quality of cooking was amazing and the whole experience left us both wanting to come back and try the general menu (which we have on good authority, is also top quality). I would highly recommend The Great Chase to any food lovers, and more so to anyone that wants to fine dine and have a real gastronomic experience. Side note, the menu was fully halal and the drinks were non-alcoholic. This is a massive plus point as it is extremely difficult to find such a fine dining experience in London which cater to this requirement. 1,000,000% recommend!!
