All four of us visiting were gob-smacked by the good quality of food. We just tell the friendly staff that we want to share some vegetarian dishes, and are served the most wonderful balanced dishes, and the perfect amount of food. My dad who unfortunately is not a vegetarian says he doesn't miss chicken at all.

We discovered this cozy restaurant last time we were in London, and this is our second visit. We will come back every time we are in London.

We visited The Sitara yesterday and what a lovely place! We had been looking for a good Indian restaurant whilst staying in the Archway area. We found this little gem! The staff are very welcoming and cannot do enough for their diners. The food was delicious and so very reasonably priced. We would definitely return without a doubt when we are in the area again.

Intrigued by all the great reviews, an old friend and I searched this place out - only to discover, all the reviews were exactly right. The food is delicious, the service charming, the atmosphere relaxed - the whole experience delightful. The smiley, sweet-natured older guy doing front of house is (I'm guessing) the original owner. Take his advice - as we did - on food; he was spot on PLUS he didn't once try to foist extra dishes or larger helpings on us as is so often the trick in curry houses. The handsome younger man scurrying round the kitchens is his son (he proudly introduced him to us). The two make a winning combination. If I have one reservation - it's the room, it lacks any real atmosphere. However the smokey jazz wafting round helps take the ege off nicely. I literally can't wait to return to show other friends undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the capital. My first visit was last night (a Saturday). I am already thinking of cancelling my Sunday lunch reservation today and taking another friend to Sitara instead. WARNING! Sorry about the image but..my mouth is literally salivating at the memory of the food as I write this..!! As I say, apologies for that! But you HAVE to go.

The best place for Authentic Indian food in the whole of London! Visited this place a number of times during my stay at London, I used to come all the way from Chelsea just to eat here. The ambiance is nicely done up & the staff is very friendly. They will make you feel at home. The food will be made as you want, spicy or bland. The keema & the masala chicken is just amazing (not to forget the other finger licking dishes). You have to visit this restaurant if you happen to visit London!!
A perfect 5 on all aspects!

You must give this place a try! Great fresh Indian food in a welcoming restaurant with a laid back atmosphere!

Tandoori chicken wings, lamb with spinach curry and chicken Korai are my favourites.

Staff are friendly too! Win win win!

The interior could do with an update but in a way it's jazz infleunced lived in feel is quirky and unique. Love this place!

As it was a week of ongoing celebrations, this meant that there were a fair amount of meals out. On this particular evening, we decided to stay local and opted for The Sitara. The Sitara describes itself as “The Indian Jazz Restaurant”. We were intrigued and not quite sure what to expect. Entering the restaurant, we were welcomed by the friendly staff. Framed pictures lined the red walls, tables lit by candlelight and jazz music softly playing in the background all contributed to the mood of The Sitara.

My favourite curry house in London. Delicious, fresh food - ask about the daily specials! And the owners are such nice guys - a father & son duo. Oh, and it's a jazz curry house, so there's great jazz on the stereo, and sometimes even live jazz.

Booked a table for 3 for Saturday evening. Arrived on time, friendly waiter took us to our table, drinks arrived very quickly following by freshly prepared delicious dishes. Despite we didn't expect to hear jazz music in Indian Restaurant atmosphere was fantastic! Happy to return here and recommend it 😀 Thank you! 🙂

This is a surprisingly fantastic restaurant. We had the Kari Chicken and the mixed grill. I was a little worried about the idea of not having a sauce with the mixed grill, however the flavours were out of this world. It's a really cosy location that even hosts it's own Jaz nights. The staff were really nice and very accommodating. I'm not a fan of onions and I can't eat tomatoes, however I mentioned this to the owner as he took our order and he was absolutely happy to help. Really recommend this place and when we return next we will be back.

Sitara blends authentic Indian flavors with the smooth, melodious tunes of jazz. During my visit, I ordered dal tadka and chicken kari with naan and fragrant pilau rice. It was so delicious and fresh, beautifully complemented by the soothing jazz melodies that filled the background. The warmth and friendliness of the hosts added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience, making it exceptionally welcoming. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, this place offers an extensive range of options to satisfy every palate. Sitara is a must visit for those who appreciate exceptional Indian food and a delightful ambiance." 🍽️🎷🌟 Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of visiting The Sitara at Archway, London on a whim last Saturday (17.06.2023) with my girlfriend, and I must say, it turned out to be a remarkable experience. Intrigued by the positive reviews, we decided to give it a try, and boy, were we in for a treat! From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The jazz theme made for a relaxing and wholesome aesthetic, as well some excellent background music. The restaurant, managed by three generations of the same family, exuded a sense of authenticity and togetherness that resonated throughout our evening. Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! The flavours we experienced were simply unparalleled. We opted for the chef’s specials of Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Karahi, accompanied by fragrant Pilau Rice and delectable Garlic Naan. Every bite was a revelation, leaving us craving more. It's safe to say that this was, without a doubt, the best curry I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The skill and passion that went into crafting these dishes was evident in every mouthwatering morsel. What truly stood out, though, was the genuine kindness displayed by the restaurant staff. While we regrettably missed catching the name of the lovely older lady who attended to us, her warmth and attentive service were felt throughout the evening. It's these personal touches that make dining experiences truly memorable. And the chef himself, was incredibly humble and full of jokes when we gave him our compliments. Overall, I cannot praise The Sitara enough. It is a hidden gem that deserves all the accolades it receives. The combination of exceptional service, stunning aesthetics, and divine cuisine makes it a must-visit for anyone in search of an extraordinary dining experience. It doesn’t matter where you are based in London, it’s worth the journey no matter how long or short. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I am already eagerly planning my next visit to this culinary haven!

We found this little gem one night looking for a good Indian place for dinner in our area. The ambience was gorgeous and the first restaurant of its kind I've been to - crossing over jazz and and lovely Indian food. The service is spectacular, they make you feel special and cared for. The food was absolutely delicious and very authentic. The music complements the whole experience very well. So glad I found this place and it's definitely going to be a regular!

Most definitely the friendliest and kindest staff we met during our 4 day trip in London. You can feel the love in the decor, music and food. Very good Korma sauce and Dal Makhani, I don't think there is any place like this in London. Definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous restaurant with an extensive menu, really lovely service. It’s got a real jazz theme going on - loads of pictures of jazz legends, jazz music going on, and a very gothic theme to the furniture. Very kind people running it. Recommend.

A marvellous restaurant. The atmosphere is phenomenal (Indian Jazz, an excellent concept!). The flavours of the food are excellent and always fresh. The customer service is phenomenal, Raj and the whole family are incredibly friendly and attentive and you can see why they have such a stellar reputation. After visiting I can see why it is always so packed in the evenings. I could not recommend this place more highly.
