We first visited Kettle-Home a year ago whilst in the area travelling in Scotland. We were recommended this tea room by a local and we were so impressed with the coffee & delicious cakes and how friendly and welcoming Darryl was that we visited twice before returning home. Well we are back in Scotland doing the second half of our travelling and we just had to visit Kettle-Home again. Darryl even remembered us from last year which was a lovely welcome. This time we had the delicious home made mushroom soup and toasted sourdough ciabattas which were so good. And we took home some Rhubarb slices for later. We just love this place and wish we lived local as this would be a regular haunt of ours. Well done Darryl, you have a cracking tea room and the locals are very lucky people. We hope to call again before we head home and if ever we are in the area in the future we will be sure to pay another visit! Highly recommend Kettle-Home. Kathy, Mark & Trigger (the greyhound)

This was a lovely find. The entrance was a bit disconcerting. We thought the sign for the parking directed us behind the building, but there is only parking at the front. And when we walked in what we thought was the front door I thought we had turned up on the wrong day as we were faced with an empty function hall. We followed a gentleman who had walked in behind us to find you had to go through the hall (or as we soon realised enter through the back of the building) to get to the cafe. So if you go and end up in a hall... keep going... the food is worth it. I had the tastiest chicken pesto salad ciabatta roll in a long time. Often they can be a bit bland with not enough pesto or seasoning. This was a cut above with a nicely dressed side salad. My other half raved about his maple bacon BLT saying finally a cafe that cooked nice bacon really well. Menu was simple sandwiches, toasties and rolls type of thing, perfect for lunch, but while the menu may have been simple what we had was delicious. The selection of cakes was varied. We didn't get to try any this time around but the choice sounded appealing. (White chocolate and raspberry cheesecake, salted caramel brownies, to mention just a couple) And it was very reasonably priced for very good quality. Coffee was very good quality too, bit on the strong side for me personally, but next time we go back I will simply ask for a single shot latte... and one of those lovely looking cakes.

For real coffee lovers! Had a tasty Korean Curry for an early lunch followed by a delicious Ethiopian pour over coffee and a piece of tira misu cake. A real hidden gem. Great local atmosphere.

We were visiting the area whilst doing a bit of travelling and we were recommended this coffee shop by a lovely local lady. Our visit was so nice first time around we decided we wanted to call again before heading back home and we had a lovely warm welcome from Daryl on both occasions. Another bonus for us also is that dogs are also allowed which is fantastic and our dog certainly made himself at home. The coffee and cake are delicious and highly recommended. It is a fantastic idea to bring life back into the village hall by having such a lovely coffee shop which has been furnished so beautifully. The outdoor seating area is just lovely too for a nice sunny day. If we are ever back in the area again when we next visit Scotland we will be sure to call in again. Highly recommended! Had an amazing lunch, speciality pour over coffee and cake. Only 10 minutes from the motorway, easily worth stopping here over the service station

We stopped here with our three children for a quick lunch while travelling down the motorway. The young man was so friendly and opened up the tennis courts so that our children could have a run around. The room inside was beautiful and the outdoor seating area very peaceful. The food was really delicious and there was a good range of choice including vegetarian and vegan options. Will definitely be back again. Thank you!

Located in the village hall, you'll receive a warm and friendly welcome. Good coffee, delicious cakes and scones and always a gluten free option which has been scrumptious every time. In my opinion, the best gluten free treats I've had. On a sunny day you can sit outside next to the bowling green and look up to the towering trees while enjoying being serenaded by bird song! Not been here? It's worth a visit.
