After a long day at work, I decided to check out Argyll Cafe for the first time, curious about their Lochgilphead offerings. With a name like Argyll Cafe, I expected something special, and they certainly didn't disappoint.
I went for a pizza, on their recommendation, paired with a homemade coffee,

We had a delightful sit in fish tea supper in the Argyll, and couldn’t find fault at all. Great food, clean seating area, very friendly staff and all round great dining experience. A credit to the owners. Well done.
One of the best calzones I've ever had. They seated us on short notice, even with dogs. Fast service, nice staff, good food, well priced.
Good quality food in simple, happy environment. We ordered the fish and chips (great) but we're eyeing up the pizzas as they came out too.
Busy little place. No table available when I got there but within minutes, had a table sorted for me.

Was recommended this place for a fish tea. Enjoyed the food. A few issues inside the place with service, but nothing that would stop me from returning for another meal if up here again or Indeed recommending to others. The fish was particularly good, moist and fresh.
Very small but very accommodating. Good food made fast. Kids catered for and staff very helpful and friendly.
Friendly staff, fish and chips were cooked fresh. Not the biggest fish I've seen but big enough, crispy and not too much batter. Nice place and would go back.

Lovely fresh fish and excellent chips to takeaway. A good sized portion of fish and chips and freshly cooked because this is such a popular takeaway in the town. Had a bit of a wait as a walk-in customer which is understandable but if I had phoned or made the order online I could have just walked in
