Just had afternoon tea at Cafe Panola. Wow, what great value and service, and an absolutely delicious tea. When we arrived we were quickly acknowledged and escorted to our table. I was a little worried as one of our party of 5 was vegan and I have had bad experiences in other places where despite booking, that fact was forgotten, but not at cafe panola, our vegan of the party was immediately confirmed without asking. Really appreciate that. Our whole party agreed that the food was excellent. I have never experienced such a tasty vegan afternoon tea, even at some very high end places. Absolutely delightful. Well done.

A lovely afternoon at Pentland Plants. The cafe food is excellent and we spent a very happy hour decorating our own Christmas Wreath. The owner Caroline was a great facilitator and lots of fun was had by all. The christmas decorations are lovely and unique as well. Highly recommend a visit!

We stopped off for some coffee and soup in this garden centre. Really quick service, food was lovely. We had Cullen Skink, chips, tea and coffee. I will say it's quite pricey, our lunch was £27.25. Our soup must of been around £8 per person. Anyway, it was really nice and friendly attentive staff.

Great selection of plants, gardening tools, and stuff. I did not try the coffee, but it seems very popular. I still need to figure out how to get my outside stuff to the till without walking through the entire shop.

A lovely oasis of calm on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Plants are well cared for and the staff are always very friendly. Have always been able to find what I need here for the garden or indoor plant care. The café is brilliant - they do coffee and cake or larger meals. The food is very good (portions are generous!) and reasonably priced and there's a dog friendly area. Even though I live away from Edinburgh I still go back and will continue to do so.

Stocked with beautiful plants to inspire you to create an entire garden or just a small oasis. They have some excellent indoor plants and planters, as well as decorative garden ornaments. I found their collections of plants suggesting seasonal groupings excellent and they had sufficient quantities to allow for planning to take place, before buying. Their tea room is excellent and the cakes are delicious. Thin pastry and bumper fillings make them moreish. It's easy to see why it's so popular. Final thing is to sign up for their free loyalty card to collect points and get a 10% discount on plants.

We came for breakfast at their cafe. Great selection with fair pricing. I had the full breakfast which cost 9.99. You can order with the waiter or via their QR code.

Nice atmosphere, recommend the Stromboli cappuccino with a generous sprinkle of cocoa on top. Nice vegetarian breakfast. Excellent scones but a little too dry, hence four stars. Helpful staff.

Cafe has been upgraded with quick table service. The usual soup and sandwiches and some quite cheesy mac and cheese.

Very busy at lunchtime. Generous portion sizes but we felt it was a bit expensive for very basic dishes. 2 x jacket potatoes and 1 cup of tea almost £20. Good service and you can order and pay at table using QR code.
