Fantastic service and the food was excellent. Nice place to visit after the difficult valley route to the trig point of Sugarloaf. Well worth a visit, the views are spectacular.
I would give it 6 stars if possible! This is realy a very nice place to stay! I stayed here for 4 days to drive around, the area is beautiful! Lots and lots to see and to do everywhere. The People are very very nice and the give you all the attention and help you need. Food was good and delicious. B
A castle with a history of entertaining and hosting guests, rather than repelling hoards of barbaric tribes. A ruin today, but a charming well preserved ruin. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
After 4 days up in Snowdonia camping, thought me & my son needed a decent pub meal to get us back to Somerset.

Alison and Lisa are quite the double act. Made us feel very welcome and we had such a laugh with them. The cod was beautiful! We couldn’t even finish it. Had to save some room for the hot chocolate cake Lisa recommended. A delightful visit will definitely be back.

A pleasant two day stay. While the bathroom was a little tired, and needed some tlc with regards the tile grout, the room was clean and the location of the pub, exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Plus points for fabulous food well worth any wait.
