We often visit this pub on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and we love it there. Such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that keeps us coming back. The staff are lovely and helpful amd always do theor best to accommodate you. Forget your Toby Carveries....this is the best value for money Sunday lunch around! We cant wait for the Summer so we can come and sit out in the beer garden with a cold drink!! Keep up the good work guys!! x
Popped in on off chance. Lucky they managed to fit us in for Sunday Carvery. Could not manage dessert so they put some gorgeous Red Velvet cheesecake and scrumptious toffee cake and a tub of cream in cartons for us to take home. Well worth a visit
Always a good atmosphere and food but New Years Eve was a classic - Great atmosphere , great band (Semantics) if that wasnt enough free curry and chips and free entry. Fantastic night great venue
Went with friends for Sunday cavery! It's got to b the best around ESP for price, £9.99 for 2 course... plenty of meat n the gravy was to die for. Def b goin back 🎉
I’m giving it a 5star because the food was amazing couldn’t fault the staff very friendly worked hard will be going here again thank you .
Excellent service! Sally was an amazing waitress! Best home cooked meal in a while. Food all fresh and perfect. Very reasonably priced!
I've come here a few times and the food is always great and the staff are very polite. Such a nice place.

This is my local amazing staff and fab food drink and entertainment
Had a birthday meal on the 31st Oct and Sunday lunch on the 2nd Nov, undoubtedly the best food I have had eating out for a very long time. The staff were very friendly and lovely atmosphere would recommend to anyone wanting a good night out.
this pub is so relaxing, with great staff and excellent live music.
I cannot say a bad thing about the Bear Inn pub and restaurant. The carvery was delicious, and at a very reasonable price. It was very quiet when we attended, and it left me thinking that many people are missing out on what could be a very popular place to eat. I will definitely go back again and again. So a big thank you to all the staff and owners of the Bear Inn Pub for such a lovely time.
Best Sunday lunch around by far. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. When it comes to serving the meat, they are very generous. Food is all home cooked. So cheap as you get a dessert in with the price!
Been here for evening dinner too. Food again has always been tasty. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Beautiful pub, staff super helpful, and got us on a table although they were fully booked! The vegetarian carvery was superb, and came with dessert all for only £15! Will be going again next Sunday, thank you for delicious food and cosy surroundings 😀
Lovely old fashioned pub with friendly staff. Great food with real chips and not frozen. Nice beer garden out the back aswel. 2 car parks in walking distance for people driving xx
Quaint little pub in Llantrisant centre. Staff were friendly. The beer was fairly reasonable priced.
A lovely surprise a good old pub meal.
Had the spiced up curry & very nice it was too.
Stacks to eat aswell..
Cheers Bear 🐻
First visit to the Bear for Sunday lunch …
Fabulous food, friendly service and great value 😀
Lovely cosy pub with a friendly feel to the place. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the homemade chips are tremendous. It's got plenty to offer as a warm and friendly pub with great drinks choices and popular with the locals. It's dog friendly too which i was pleased to see being a dog owner.
Never fail to get a very good meal at affordable prices. The service is first class, the beer is always good and the ambience is just right. A favourite of mine is the large gammon with extra onions rings. Would highly recommend going there.
Called to The Bear to watch the rugby (Wales v SA). Good range of lagers and beers. Welcoming staff and customers. Really impressive half time free food. Chicken curry, rice, chips and poppadum. Staff even made me a seperate veggie curry when I told them I'm not a meat eater! Overall great experience and customer service is excellent.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. It was my 40th birthday in there and they gave me a free drink. Aparantly that's the pub rule! Loved it. Highly recommended
This is by far 'our' favourite Sunday Roast around. The staff are superb and so welcoming and the food is gorgeous. The Meats, Roasties and Parsnips are so moreish. Great value for money with the option of taking your desert home if you have no room.
The only thing that could improve it for me?would be the inclusion of a homemade cauliflower/broccoli cheese (maybe as an extra add-on dish?) But that's just a minor detail of preference. What is on offer is done so well. A lovely traditional old pub not to be missed.
This is my partners and my favourite place to go for Sunday Lunch. The carvery is fantastic with a variety of meats, generous portions and full of flavour. The staff are incredibly friendly and they do their best to make you feel at home. I've been once since they have been open through lockdown and the steps they had taken to ensure safety for everyone were top notch.
Absolutely love the place and I can't wait for normality to resume so that we can make trips there more often again.
Thank you so much to the bear Inn absolutely amazing meals and desserts bar staff so pleasant and cheerful went out of their way to make sure everything and everyone was ok definitely be coming back see you soon kind regards mandy
Friendly services. Delicious food. Served promptly. Fantastic portion sizes/prices. Loved that you could double up on the spirits for £1. The only off put was the smell of grease from the kitchen, it had a very distinctive smell and smelt unclean. In all, I would recommend this place and will dine here again. Lovely friendly atmosphere- even if we were slightly put off by the dog in the bar area too.

Lovely experience. The husband is vegan, so when we booked they arranged a three bean casserole and rice for him. He also was able to have the roast potatoes, parsnips and stuffing, all made without animal products. He partook!! One stuffed vegan. That's rare!
My sister is gluten intolerant, so a Sherry Trifle was sorted out without the sponge for her. It was still amazing.
Lovely staff, lovely food, generous portions and reasonable prices. The staff are all very accommodating.
The desserts are fabulous, if you haven't got room after the carvery, you can take them away with you.
Our second visit, as good as our first experience. We'll definitely go again.
Amazing pub, bowl of chips were massive and they even gave my dog a free sausage and water :) he loved it! Definitely go there with your pooches
Fantastic place - we were recommended by a friend and this was a winner! Sunday lunch was a hit with our kids and the meat was very tender and the whole carvery setup was homely, tasty and smacked of grandmother's cooking.
The staff are very hospitable and they certainly looked after us. The best thing about the whole experience was the warmth and cosiness of the pub and the family running it.
A note on the meat: it was so tender and the ham was absolutely delicious! The roasties were perfect and the parsnip chips mouth-watering.
We'll obviously be back :)))
