We enjoyed exploring this historical tea room but I wouldn't say it is particularly worth visiting unless you are nearby or interested in taking a photo of the ivy. I have visited many historical tea rooms and places and I think more could be made of this place. It feels a little empty.

The service was lovely we showed up right as they were closing (with out realisation) and felt a little bad but the staff were delightful and even took the time to wait a few minutes for delicious fresh out the oven scones to cool so that the cream and jam didn’t turn it into a gooey mess!! We only called by to see the outside of the place as part of a minibus tour for the day.
I liked the look of the greenery and we were told that in autumn 🍂 it would be a bright red. Our tour driver even showed us such a photo.
Seeing my photos again, I have to say that the place looks stunning.
This is an absolute gem of a cafe, personally it has very fond memories as I used to visit with Grandparents who loved it 40 years ago. Its charm and character have not changed and the food is lovely. Easy parking, we will be back. Highly recommended 👍🏻
