It was a delight to experience the best in hospitality by the owner Carrie. She believes in offering high standards of care and this was evident towards her customer service to us. This is a place of such importance in heritage. The local community should be privileged to have her and her care to integrate tourism to this area and support The National Trust. We had the best Welsh cake and Bara bread ever in traditional settings for Wales. Carrie is a worthy custodian to Welsh food, hospitality and heritage. Thank you for enhancing our holiday and hugely enhancing Welsh tourism for everyone.
We popped in here for a coffee with our chihuahua, Gizmo, and they welcomed us inside. The tearoom is small and intimate, but has really lovely olde world charm inside. We only ordered coffees, but the chef brought out some turkey slices for Gizmo, which was really nice 👌. Gizmo has insisted that we head back ASAP and try the food ourselves.
We enjoyed exploring this historical tea room but I wouldn't say it is particularly worth visiting unless you are nearby or interested in taking a photo of the ivy. I have visited many historical tea rooms and places and I think more could be made of this place. It feels a little empty.
While the food was very good the portion size was very small for the price. We waited a long time to be served and in between each course even though the tearoom was half full. Our waitress was friendly and genuinely so but more attentiveness would have been appreciated.
I visited this place as a part of our one day trip, but the history of this place is like 100 years old, and it's mesmerizing. Our tour guide told a story about this place, how one intelligent man fools London highly educated people by painting his own mins as silver mins
And then how he was punished for life in prison and released in 1 month. How this place becomes a court room and after that how it becomes a good place for villagers. The story really is interesting.
This is the best place if you like water and quiet place
Because here you can sit for a long time on a bench near the water.
You feel very relaxed .
Beautiful setting and a very traditional tearoom.
The staff were so nice and recommended the rarebit special.
Food was absolutely beautiful and good value for money.
Lovely outside seating as well as a cute little inside.
This is the fifth time that we came to Wales and visited this beautiful teahouse. We’ve always enjoyed the food and ambiance. This time also was amazing as expected!! We will definitely come back.
I’ve visited the tea rooms numerous occasions in hopes to catch her in her autumn coat!! But it was a YAYYY🥳 on todays visit!! After a long 2 years of failed timings I Finally got it right!🥰😍 and I for the first time I actually got to see her in her autumn coat 🍁 one that’s all bright and in a stunningly Red!!! What fantastic place to visit whether you’re up for afternoon tea or just a pure perfection beautiful freshly made scone and excellent customer service 🫶 I was Absolutely buzzing to see this idyllic building change in colour and the tearoom’s is one that’s very popular with numerous tourists everywhere, but it’s still just as Excellent to visit even for a picture even if it’s closed- I found that was all the better for pictures with lesser inconsiderate people around that annoyed me but other than that I highly recommend a visit.
Amazing food and service in quant surroundings. Great place to relax whilst exploring the village. Dog friendly with calming river views and outdoor seating at the rear. The Welsh Rarebit was amazing and again, service was very good! Must come for the local experience. Arrive early in case they run out of food!
After seeing it on TV in 2022, both my partner and myself said we would visit. A year later, we did. Unfortunately we arrived late afternoon on Sunday and they had a coach party in so it was busy. The staff was lovely and we sat outside instead as it was full. We will return for the full experience next time.
The service was lovely we showed up right as they were closing (with out realisation) and felt a little bad but the staff were delightful and even took the time to wait a few minutes for delicious fresh out the oven scones to cool so that the cream and jam didn’t turn it into a gooey mess!! Lovely lady and amazing views
We only called by to see the outside of the place as part of a minibus tour for the day.
I liked the look of the greenery and we were told that in autumn 🍂 it would be a bright red. Our tour driver even showed us such a photo.
Seeing my photos again, I have to say that the place looks stunning.
This is an absolute gem of a cafe, personally it has very fond memories as I used to visit with Grandparents who loved it 40 years ago. Its charm and character have not changed and the food is lovely. Easy parking, we will be back. Highly recommended 👍🏻
Fantastic tea room in the prime location of Llanrwst north wales. A must visit for anyone passing through. Bev and the team make you feel very welcome. (Andy)
Lovely spot to have tea and cake, has its own car park. Beautiful views 😍 friendly staff 👏
Best scones and hot chocolate ever 👏🏻. Very hard to choose what to eat just as there are so many lovely options, but the scones were fresh out the oven…
Unforgettable atmosphere 🖤
Happy to try the Welsh Rarebit first time in the right place
