Had a family meal on Saturday afternoon for wife's birthday. Absolutely outstanding. The staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us. (Again, if you remember me, sorry about the cake.... lol). The six of us loved every course. I doubt any top class restaurants in this area could match the quality of the food or the presentation. Three of us had the loin of pork. The best pork meal I have ever had. 10 out of 10 all around. Thanks again.

This pub is no franchise pub. It's a real local, with a welcome & space for families, a stunning view & excellent food. The lamb was as good as I've tasted anywhere. Well worth a visit.

we love coming here, food is amazing, staff are professional and polite and the kids love feeding the rabbits and playing in the garden! Which will be even better once the new play area is constructed! Our favourite place for Sunday lunch by far!

We voted this pub just about the best we have ever gone to for its combination of truly, utterly delicious food, a very competitive price, and excellent, smiling service. Top marks in our book.

Really nice local pub, good food at reasonable prices. I wanted something small to keep me over till dinner and the leek with potato soup was just perfect for it. I really recommend popping in for a bowl.

Eighteenth century inn with terraced area out front and beer garden overlooking the estuary. Stopped by for a lunchtime drink while out hiking. Staff were really friendly and there was a good selection of well-kept craft ales. Very nice, tradition decor with some original features. Didn’t eat as we’d had a big breakfast, but the home-cooked menu looked the best we’d seen on the Gower. Judging from how others’ meals went down, I assume that they didn’t disappoint. Would definitely return.

Went on a Monday evening, no need to book. Just find a table and order at the bar. Good selection of food and reasonably priced. Lovely real ales available. Food was great. Rear garden overlooks the estuary.

We were stopping in Rhossili, it was raining, so we needed a dog friendly place to eat. Other dog friendly establishments limited dogs to the garden, so we chose The Britannia Inn as our 9 month old puppy was allowed inside. The staff were instantly welcoming to us. We could have a tab set up straight away. We ordered the Roast Ham and Egg, the Gower Gold and Steak Pie & Moroccan Welsh Lamb Tagine. The pub was full, but the food was delivered quite quickly and to say it was delicious is an understatement. It was superb, the chips were delicious and appeared to be hand made. The meat was so tender that it fell apart. I could go on and on praising the food and the chef. We were latish going in, but they still served us a pudding. White Chocolate Profiteroles, Apple & Blackcurrant Crumble and a Vanilla Cheesecake. All I can say is that they didn’t last long. Adding the whole lot up with drinks did push the bill up a bit. However, even with a bit of an ouch, I was more than happy with what I paid. We are only in the area for a couple of days more, but our last night plans have changed from the nearby hostelry to The Britannia. Well done and a huge thank you to all the staff. Oh, by the way, there are vegetarian options available, which we did consider.

Stayed in the village just 100 yards from the Inn. Can I say positively that this Inn/restaurant is the best place my wife and I have eaten in or enjoyed a lunch and evening meal. The bar is a traditional place that pubs should be, fantastic atmosphere and service. The bar food is on the same level as the restaurant. The food quality, the service and atmosphere is of the highest order. We had two nights in the restaurant and two lunchtimes in the bar, just try the best fish and chips in this country, all at reasonable prices. We come from North Devon and there is nothing like this place. Its uncommercialised and what an Inn should be. Well done to the owners and the amazing staff.

we visited after a day on whiteford burrows getting muddy and I was so so impressed. I had the cawl which was delicious and my partner had fish and chips. I then had a chocolate fondant dessert which was amazing. we were both impressed by the homemade ice cream, the quality of the food and the prices too. Definitely would like to come back.

I have just enjoyed a delicious lunch with my friend and our dogs at the Britannia Inn, she enjoyed the lamb burger which I devoured the steak baguette. The chips were freshly cooked, hot and taste. Hightly recommend.
