Would definitely recommend the Talardd Arms, very welcoming, local sourced produce, very tasty food and friendly staff. Have eaten there quite a few times a will be returning, can recommend the chicken curry and stuffed chicken breast
Took our 2 labradors here tonight, truly a dog friendly pub and they were made really welcome. Brilliant food, great staff and service and even doggie ice cream sample for the labs. I couldn’t recommended this pub more highly for dogs owners and Bailey and Asti highly recommend it for their doggie friends :-)
We will definitely be back on our next visit :-)

Spontaneous drive into the countryside to find a village pub for lunch and hit the jackpot. Fantastic welcome and Lovely food and the savoury bread and butter pudding is a must have. Recommend you go on an empty stomach.

Last night at Dolcoed. Up at the y Talardd and all the customers are raving about the quality of the food, which we can agree.
Lunch at the Talardd last Friday June 9th was excellent, value for money, and very tasty.
I would recommend everyone to support James and Nia Nock in their new venture at the Talardd.

Thank for a wonderful Sunday Lunch made from locally sourced produce. A warm welcome and a lovely chat with the hosts. The staff were great to. The open fire was so welcoming on a wet and dismal day.

Proper Welsh village pub. Simply furnished but cosy. The food is out of this world. Virtually all homemade, huge portions freshly cooked to order. Sunday lunch is something to behold! Choice of 2 meats, 8 yes 8 vegetables, Yorkshire pud, and 2 gravies. Puddings are to die for. Good honest country pub food and very reasonable prices served with a smile 😃 Don't expect flash fake surroundings but if you want to eat go here but go hungry!
A great little pub that is truly Welsh! The owners were lovely and so welcoming! We stopped for some food and a few drinks. The pies were amazing and homemade, fresh every day. The portions were big and we left happy and full. The pub is very dog friendly and our little pup also had plenty of strokes and love from everyone! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The pub itself could do with some updating but as the owners have just taken over, that is understandable. We had a great evening and so did our pooch!

6 of us stopped at Y Mari Glyn unaware that it has changed hands some 3 weeks ago. I am so glad we stayed!
The food was fresh, simple and delicious. My garlic mushrooms tagliatelle was superb, portion very generous and at a really reasonable price.
Toby, a partner in the new ownership was a fantastic, energetic and refreshingly honest server and made us laugh several times.
Moreover, Toby's Mum bakes the cakes from the dessert menu and to say they, too, are delicious, is an understatement 😋
We live in Devon but we are planning another trip to beautiful Wales in September when I will be booking a table at Y Mari Glyn again

Me and my wife were staying in the area and looked up dog friendly pubs near me.
How pleased were we, especially when the food came out...if you're hungry this is the place to eat!
The prices are great!
We had chilli on nachos and Hunters chicken. I had to finish my wife's chilli as the portion was too big for her!
The only suggestion we have for mains...maybe separate the chilli from the nachos in its bowl so they don't go too soggy...
We opted for a takeaway desert - blackberry and apple pie with custard...it was delicious and the lemon and lime cheese cake is amazing!
All home made food and the NEW LAND LADY HAS ONLY BEEN THERE 4 WEEKS would definitely go back and would recommend it!
I've gave a 3 star on atmosphere as it was a middle of the week and quiet.
If you're on holiday or a local please give this place a try!
Fantastic home cooked roast. A bit of confusion to start with, however this was easily sorted. Massive portion of fantastic food. I would recommend.
