Great beer garden for the warmer months. Just been to a wake there on Wednesday for one of our closest friends. The food provided was quality. Ambiance was perfect for the occasion. What a great way to say goodbye to a near and dear friend. Lots of tears shed but the staff were perfect. Thanks and w
Family of four, camping for the week and needed some home cooked food.
Negative first, a rather small menu compared to what it showed on the internet.
However, and this is a big However, food was absolutely fantastic, kids loved the burger and the fish and chips was the best fish and chips I've had
Had a wonderful lunch at the Whistling Badger, food was amazing and staff really friendly.
Great little find. Staff always accommodating, burger night was fabulous! 😍
Great beer and a quaint, small garden at the back next to a small carpark. Disappointed that we didn't get to eat there and wish when they told us they didn't do food on a Monday, they had said and not on a Tuesday either. Could have saved us a trip. Lovely friendly staff.
Great Pub & beds! We were welcomed by Harry and he is amazing, had a pint in the pub. Good selection of beers. We struggling to find a place to stay and this was literally the only place in mid Wales that still had room: best decision ever!
Great little pub selling good beer and really tasty food. Only criticism is the portion was too small for me (I could eat a horse though!)
Welcoming, friendly and clean place to go.
Highly recommended.
We had a great night's stay in the WB. We received a really warm friendly welcome from Fran. We had lunch and a few lovely pints of the Wye Valley IPA. The food was excellent, a complete surprise for a small country pub, the flat iron steak was beautiful, what a delicious topping. Our friends had
Good food, good beer, decent room at reasonable rates, big beer garden, and terrific atmosphere. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, the people! Best time on Glyndwr's Way (off trail) was spent here.
What a remarkable spot! Great beer selection! Football on the telly! Lovely patio and a great staff!
Would highly recommend to anybody who’s looking for a cozy night in or mid day lager!
Thank you for everything Sarah!
Very friendly pub bristling with locals, always a good sign.
Burger night so menu limited but was presented well and tasted great.
We had a really enjoyable meal and evening at the Whistling Badger. 5 of us shared tapas, and we had one child's sausage and mash. All of the food was delicious, and the menu had plenty of choice. And on top of that, the landlady and staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Our son Billy has
I stayed at the Whistling Badger for two nights and what a shame I couldn't have stayed longer! THE STAFF ARE AMAZING! what a lovely bunch of people. I couldn't have been made more welcome. I really can't say enough praise for the staff watching them going about their business and looking after the
Lovely pub with a vast beer garden. Dogs are welcome in the garden and the lovely staff brought our pup water and treats. All 4 of us had pie and mash which was lovely and 1 friend was delighted that there was a vegetarian pie. The mash options were great and tasty as well. In terms of ales they had
