Lovely food, lovely views, we sat out on the terrace with our dog. Water bowl supplied for the dog, outside tap to refill as well.
We've eaten in the pub (downstairs) with the dog too. Nice to find a good place to eat that's dog friendly.
Fantastic good. Had the cod and chips which were the crispiest I've had in a long time. Although it was very busy the staff were very attentive, friendly and polite. Would highly recommend this pub and will certainly return when visiting the area in future.
This is our regular stop on the way over to Birmingham. Fantastic find. Beautiful pub in perfect surroundings. Every meal we’ve had has been delicious. And the views are amazing. It’s always busy so it must be good
The setting is perfect and the food was amazing. I would 100% recommend friends to eat here with confidence that they will also enjoy this wonderful venue.
Absolutely lovely lunch (lots of choice and could've gone with at least 5 options) with amazing views and good customer service! One tiny gripe would be the lack of gluten free options on the menu but I'm sure this will be something that grows with time! Thank you Corn Mill 😊
We had an amazing family meal this eve. Food was delicious, so so tasty...service was fantastic. Deffo be back... totally recommend.
Excellent little place friendly staff, great food and drink 🍹
I really enjoyed with my family ! This place is beautiful! Its a must visit who ever visits Llangollen!
Best pub in town for sure. Had a miss with a nearby pub but the corn mill redeemed Llangollen's culinary standards by serving us up an epic dessert. The lemon tart and sticky toffee pudding were incredible- plates licked clean! We were so impressed, we came back for lunch the next day. Perched at the edge of the bridge overlooking the river, makes for a scenic and picturesque dining experience. Great vintage prints around the walls, and a clever amalgamation of traditional wooden pub with modern dining. The steak and ale pie, and steak sandwich were our favourite lunch dishes in wales
Superb location overlooking the river. Great menu and welcoming friendly staff. We visited for lunch on the recommendation of a local friend. Seanass Greek feta, a steak burger and garlic bread later we were very satisfied. Nicely cooked and presented food. Book to avoid disappointment especially if you would like to bring your four legged friend. Recommended.
Superb restaurant and bar in a convert Cornhill that has retained many original features. As its located down a small side street right by the river it could be easily missed, but it's well worth finding. Food and setting were excellent. We where lucky enough to have a table right by the window overlooking the river. Really can't compliment the corn mill enough for their food and setting, we are already looking for an excuse to return.
The only the speed of service really let them down, even deserts and coffees took ages to arrive, despite the abundance of staff. Luckily the food is worth waiting for.
Reservation is a must.
Lovely pub great view of the fast flowing river nice outside balcony over looking the river under the bridge. Food was lovely ordered Mushroom Soup, and Chicken Liver Pate.
What a lovely find. I thoroughly recommend The Corn Mill, we were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to our table. The table service was impeccable. Each time any of them came to the table we were greeted with smile. The food was delicious I had the fishcakes which I really enjoyed. For pudding I had the lemon cheesecake with raspberry sorbet and really loved it. Well done everyone, we will certainly come again when we are next in the area
Great food, really tasty and well cooked. Meals are well thought through and presented very aesthetically.
The service was really friendly, very attentive, and prompt. It was a very busy night when we went and normally places struggle when they are so busy, but it absolutely did not effect the staff or their service which is incredible.
There was a lovely atmosphere in the pub and it felt very friendly and safe.
Highly recommend the chocolate torte and lots of local or independent breweries on tap which is awesome.
Lovely pub, your team are very friendly and welcoming! You sadly ran out of the whipped goats cheese and kindly gave us some free haloumi fries which were fantastic, much appreciated. Very impressed and hope to come back one day! Many thanks for a lovely evening (our last evening of the trip and certainly the best meal we had!) :)
I highly recommend the sea bass (with samphire and prawn vinaigrette, all perfectly seasoned coupled with a good helping of hollandaise which tasted freshly made) The pub itself is amazing with amazing views of the river.
Great portions, lovely clean tasty food, all of our differing palates were satisfied, and a great price. We shared 5 starters and enjoyed all, falafel, halloumi, squid, olives and baked brie. Mains were the steak burger, fish and chips, chilli beef salad and pan seared sea bass. Desserts were lemon cheesecake and the mini toffee pudding and mini brownie. Portions were all more than ample, prices were great! (Did write a longer review but Google crashed!) Staff and atmosphere wonderful
Brunning + Price are reliably good everywhere and The Corn Mill is no exception. Good choice of local ales, and tasty food. Views are perfect.
The food was absolutely delicious and the setting next to the river was really lovely. Would definitely come here again.
Beautiful views ofer river Dee and Llangollen, great food and atmosphere. Decent prices and nice staff, so really no reason not to dropp in for a meal, pint or a juice. Thanks for the great food. We really enjoyed it and the views from the outside area.
We booked a week ahead of time since we were dining on a Saturday night, to assure a table. The dinner selections were unique. I ordered the Apple/Potato Pie. It was fabulous! We were seated next to a window overlooking the river. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Everything about this venue is perfect. The food...amazing, the location and river view...superb, the staff...delightful. I could eat here every day and be a very happy man.
Wonderful food, excellent service
The Corn Mill has been grinding flour for at least seven hundred years and owes its foundation to the Cistercian monks of Valle Crucis. It is first mentioned in a 13th century document dealing with a fishing dispute between the freemen of Llangollen and the Abbot.
The building, as it now stands, was re-built in 1786 with three pairs of grinding stones and continued as a working mill up until 1974. By the time Jerry and Graham came across it, however, it was sadly derelict and in danger of falling into the river. It is owned by a friend of Jerry's called Phil Brown, and we ended up leasing the mill from him for fifty years.
Came across the Corn Mill after mooring up overnight at the basin on our canal boat. Great atmosphere and range of beers. Dinner on the terrace was great and the views are outstanding. Recommended 👍
Loved the food and menu. Great location 👌
Service was ok but asked for tissues and no condiments. Was very busy however so I can't fault them
Lovely pub overlooking the River Dee. We spent a very nice hour here eating lunch. Food and service was excellent. Watching the boats hit the rapids whilst eating was a first for me! Great fun 😊
OMG! The black garlic chicken was like something out of this World - a totally awesome taste to the garlic and the combo with the sweetcorn was just divine. Probably the best meal (so far) that I've enjoyed at a B&P
We also love the fact that you save some dog-friendly areas of your pubs so that those of us with 4 legged friends who've been out enjoying the local scenery don't have to worry about leaving them in the car.
OMFG these chips are to die for. They've obviously travelled here through a portal from a world restored to righteousness. The fish wasn't bad either and they have a decent selection of local ales. Staff went the extra mile to help.
Absolutely love this place. Really friendly and helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere. Gotta be one of the best pubs in Wales!
