Had lunch here before heading off on our canal trip, food was delicious and plentiful. OH had the Welsh steak sandwich and it was loaded with steak, my jacket was light and fluffy, goid choice of drinks too.
We enjoyed it so much that we ended up returning for our evening meal - our alternative choice was busy and wanted to seat us in the corridor!!! Evening meal was also excellent, well presented and again good helpings.
Staff both times were friendly and very efficient, my only slight moan would be that we weren't offered a sweet after our evening meal - the boards around sounded lovely and the cakes looked delicious too. Better for my diet though!
Would definitely return here.
There are 16 of us on a hen night sat in the tearooms and having an amazing time. Extremely friendly and fab food . Would highly recommend this place
Lovely tea and teacakes as always. Whenever im in Llangollen l make a bee line for the cottage because l know it's the best tea shop around.
Fantastic steak and Guiness pie for me and gammon dinner for my husband, huge portions, beautifully presented, lovely staff, best cup of tea around!! Recommend to anyone x
wonderful meal and top rate service .staff very helpful and polite
Tea Cottage &Bistro is excellent place lovely and friendly staff lovely and tasty food we love the place.
The service was quick despite being really busy because of the good weather. Good choices at reasonable prices. Two of us had the special breakfast with tea and two had soup and sandwiches. Friendly and attentive staff.
Best place in llangollin to eat and enjoy your stay, wonderful food and great friendly staff
Lovely little place, the food was delicious. I had the beef stew and my husband had the steak pie, both cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere, it was a chilly summer evening and they put the heater on for me to warm up, much appreciated. Could not fault a thing, great value, lovely staff excellent.
Had the Welsh tea and it was delicious , and beautifully presented. The staff are very friendly and courteous no matter how busy they are. Don't pass by if you can get a table ...get in!

We always stop here on our way to Wales or our return home.
Service is lovely and we always receive a warm Welsh welcome!
Highly recommend the cream tea
Great cream tea served with Italian coffee as alternative to tea. Delicious scones and also served a great omelette. Great food , good pice and great service!
A beautiful quaint place excellent food, excellent portions great friendly staff Quite small inside I think it is great The only downside is one table is too near the toilets I saw three lots of people get up & walk out This cannot be avoided though as it is compact Don't think they could make changes with it being a listed building I would certainly go again
So glad we found this gem of a place, we received a really lovely warm welcome on arrival and throughout our time in the Tearoom. I sampled the Lasagne with side salad, Coleslaw and Garlic Bread. I then had the
Traditional Welsh Cream Tea which was also very nice indeed. The tearoom is very dog friendly which was great for us as we were able to take our Jack Russell Terrier "Manx' in with us. We highly recommend this lovely tearoom such a wonderful place
Thank you for looking after us.

Popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning, sat inside and the staff were very friendly and chatty. Full menu was available, food came in decent time and was delicious. Would go again
Had: a tasteful ham sandwich with home made coleslaw and fresh salad. Also the panini with bacon, brie and cranberries was delicious. Good Pinot Grigio. One thing could be better: welsh draft instead of Spanish beer. Great view of street from patio table. Very service minded waiter.
Super tearoom with a lovely outside covered seating area. We ordered tea and bara brith, very reasonably priced and were served with 3 pieces each ! Half we packed up to save for the next day.
Staff were friendly and efficient. The cafe is wheelchair accessible with a ramp down into the seating area, where there was plenty of room for the wheelchair. Not sure whether there is a disabled toilet as we did not go inside but it looked quite small.
What a wonderful Sunday morning we had here before going rafting. Greeted by such friendly staff. Very chatty/engaging asking us if we had had a pleasant stay in the area etc. The Latte was served quick hot and was just what we needed before leaving. Very competitive price. Sadly we had already eaten in our camper as the food been served around looks fabulous! Next time 👍

I visited Cottage Tearooms today and I was very impressed!
The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly, reasonably priced too!
The venue is clean, tidy and well presented inside and out. We sat outside (as the weather was nice).
Staff are very welcoming and even though it was busy at the time, they were never too rushed to stop for you if you had a query.
I couldnt fault it if I wanted to. Superb!
This place is situated just to the side of the bridge over the River Dee and has a cosy indoor seating area as well as plenty of outdoor tables too. The food was really good and arrived pretty quickly despite it being a busy time in the middle of a festival. The staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
Good visit, nice food. Clean and good friendly service
Lovely place for lunch in Llangollen. Family of 7, for lunch on Satuday without booking. Busy place, staff work very hard, food amazing. We will be back.
Some of our group are vegetarian, and we all found something nice to accommodate our different tastes.
