We visited Eddy’s several times during our holiday on the Gower, including twice for breakfast.
We had visited once for breakfast two years previous (during Covid) and it had been slightly disappointing. But what a difference!
We tried out a fair amount of the breakfast menu between the nine of us in our group and everyone was impressed with the food. Eduardo’s breakfast (a Mexican take on breakfast) was particularly impressive - the flavours were superb.
The portions were very generous and it was all well priced particularly considering the size of the meals.
The outside seating areas are good and they have one section with some wind protection.
Wow! What can I say about the porridge and the coffee? Absolutely fantastic. Stopped here during my hike today and it did not disappoint. The coffee was what a good coffee should taste like! The porridge, was, in my opinion the best I've ever had at a restaurant!
Staff were working really hard, and gave an attentive service. This'll be my 'go to' place next time I'm in the area again. Well done Eddy's!
Been going to hilllend for 10+yrs 2-4 times every year and this place is great! Breakfast is big enough and fresh with good ingredients...
Had an evening meal for the first time this week as the weather was pants and Eddy's was a welcoming retreat from the tent...
Small selection of beer was nice and the satay chicken bowl was awesome! Huge, fresh tasting and healthy ..really good!
Can't recommend it enough, my friend had the Korean bowl and he was equally happy...
Top marks for offering a tasty healthy treat!
Amazing atmosphere, amazing location, amazing service and just plain amazing food. Anyone that's in the area please make sure you visit these guys they are a credit to the Gower!!!!!!
Birthday lunch with friends and family. As always Eddy's delivered with brilliant food, gorgeous friendly staff and of course the amazing view. Love you beautiful people ❤️
We haven't been to this end of Rhossili Beach before and were really impressed with the facilities, including Eddy's Restaurant. Very friendly welcoming staff and we were allowed to take our dog in too. Had a delicious bacon and sausage roll and coffee. Superb! Great views from inside the restaurant and plenty of seating outside too.
Pleasant and spirituous place to spend a good time with family or friends. Delicious and simple food. Fish and Chips, Burgers, Salads and Jackie potatoes. Drinks, coffee, cakes, ice cream. You can eat indoors or enjoy the fresh sea air at one of the big tables outside. Friendly staff.
It’s only missing wifi available.
Instead you have an unforgettable view to the bay and even to wormhead.
Second visit, fantastic food and great friendly service.
Fantastic menu- creative and varied. From pub classics to hearty salads, tofu bowls, shakshuka, spanakopita, amazing French toast…. We ended up coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner at various points during our holiday. Food was delicious with hearty portions ! Coffee also great. Plenty of outdoor seating and staff were absolute troopers- working long hours but still super friendly and helpful.
Nice little cafe in lovely surroundings. Food was tasty but nothing special except the chips - they were pretty amazing. Nonsense that you can eat indoors at the moment but you can, and no signs for the loos hut there are customer toilets inside behind the collection point.
A great place situated in hillend campsite. There is lots of outdoor and indoor seating. During Covid they have the usual precautions in place. Toilets inside are clean. Food was okay, maybe a little expensive. Nice view from the elevated position this restaurant has. Menu is much simpler than it was a few years ago but there’s still enough to choose from. There’s no children’s menu but it’s quite child friendly here.
Great food. I recommend the toasted sandwiches. They are pretty big, so unless you’ve been hiking all day sharing one between two people will do.
It gets pretty so food can take a little while to arrive. If you are in a hurry to get somewhere after food, I’d recommend someplace else. But the food is great and worth the wait.

Surfing-themed restaurant on the Gower. Part of Hillend campsite facilities, Eddy's is a surfing themed restaurant with a summer lodge feel. Spacious and surrounded by windows on two sides, the restaurant enjoys airy views of the campsite and distant sand dunes. We had pints of tap lager and cider one evening and the full English breakfast the next morning. The breakfast itself was delicious (picture below) and the coffee above average. The menu is not particularly diverse or fancy but for a campsite restaurant, Eddy's is a very convenient and acceptable place to eat and drink. I have reviewed the campsite elsewhere, and have nothing but high praise for this remarkably well-organised establishment.
We had amazing food at eddy's for lunch whilst staying at hillend. We ordered the greek spanakopita, and BBQ chicken burger and both were fantastic and so tasty. It is slightly overpriced but food is worth it, and the location is so convenient, perfect as a treat. Great atmosphere.
Stopped off hear for a meal to start our day visiting some of Gower's most beautiful beaches. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice, highly recommend and looking forward to returning to taste the other meals on the menu
The clincher for us when we stay at Hillend, is the breakfast at Eddie’s followed up with a chill out and ice cream! The view from inside is great and there’s also plenty of outside seating to enjoy the view. Would highly recommend if you’re staying on the site or if you just want a good bite to eat with a view.
Lovely beach cafe bar restaurant. Staff were very welcoming. Food was excellent good, hot. A little pricey though. Couldn't fault the location or service. Well done. Hope to see you again.
