I am going to be completely honest here. My first time visiting and I will return as it's great value for money, but I am in no rush ...
The carvey was amazing, and there was no skimping on the meat. The vegetables were really good too, but I feel you had to be picky because some were left out a tad too long and went too soft, especially the roasties. It was actually the first carvey where I said the beef was lovely and tender ... a rarity for carveys as its usually shoe leather.
Some of the staff were not really that prepared, and came across a bit clueless. Even though we prebooked, it felt like they didn't know who I was when I said we had a table booked under my name.
The worst part for me was we had a vegetarian with us who had to have the nut roast. We were so glad to see a vegetarian option however, it did not come out until the time we had finished our carvey, and when they did eat it, we found what appeared to be a whole jelly stock cube mixed in which was super salty and congealed.
If you plan to visit. I would so on an off day where it's a less stressful service, especially as the parking situation is dire.
Really lovely meal. The staff couldn't do enough. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Amazing staff atmosphere lovely nothing too much trouble food outstanding and I am a harsh critic can recommend carvery and also had peppercorn chicken definitely worth a try and I guarantee you will go back can’t wait for next visit
A great place for Sunday lunch. Good vegetarian/ vegan options (nut roast at the side of a carvery plate pictured). My friend had the brie starter before her meat carvery & the vegan starter option was bruschetta. Big portions, good value. The staff were fantastic! I had taken a birthday cake for my friend and they waited until she had walked away from the carvery to ask me her name so that the staff member bringing her cake out could sing happy birthday to her. Would definitely go again.
Nice little restaurant , the carvery was beautiful, desserts looked nice but we didn't have one. It was reasonably priced
We booked as a large family for our grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary.
As a large party we were very well looked after. Food arrived piping jot and delicious and in relatively the same time so we all ate together.
I had the carvery. Delicious!
Staff were great and welcoming, allowing our elderly diners to enter and exit through the conservatory door. This meant they were able to use their walkers and made the area more accessible.
Friendly staff, food good, service was goid but diid have to wat for drinks on 2 occasions.
A mix food order ranging from battered cod chicken peppercorn sauce on a bed of mushrooms& stuffing ,carvery & burgers. All in all enjoyed.
Extremely nice experience. Toilets are spotlessly clean. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Carvery and main menu foods great value for money.
Shame we live so far away, will certainly return when near the area.
I found the food not as good as it had been, beef was a bit tough on this occasion. Everyone else in the party said it was good or very good.
The Staff however are amazing nothing too much trouble.
The atmosphere despite being very busy was excellent.
We have made several visits to The Bridge to take advantage of their carvery service. The food is always good and the welcome is friendly.
The latest visit was the first on a Sunday, and it was exceptionally busy, but it was still easy to get served at the carvery counter.
Due to the customer numbers it didn't feel as relaxed as normal, but I would still recommend The Bridge and its food.
Delightful carvery. Service was amazing.
Lovely atmosphere First class all round.
Have booked to go back
Christmas meal for 31 including 2 toddlers in highchairs. Plenty of space in the conservatory. Delicious carvery. Salmon was very tasty too. Big portion starters! Desserts went down a treat.
I went there for food on my dinner break, and I enjoyed every bit of my carvery. Some carvery's you go to are sometimes nice but bland but not this one because every mouthful you have, you have taste of all the veg and meats. The man who cuts the meat isn't shy with the meat. He does give you loads. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a cracking carvery. 👍
Stumbled across this gem of a pub. Fabulous service. Really lovely food ( carvery and fish & chips) and yummy dessert
Staff really friendly and helpful, it got very busy as we were leaving always sign of a good pub.
Had lunch here today with my partners family ,we were a large party who all had the Sunday carvery which at best I would describe as a mediocre meal . I don't think that any of the vegetables had been salted prior to cooking. However I would like to add that the service is friendly in a lovely setting so such a shame that the food isn't up to the same standard
We had a family Christmas meal here. So ate of the Christmas menu. The food was really tasty and looked great. The pr I ces were very high though. I paid £8 for a single children's meal.
