Turned up late for Sunday service with 1 coeliac in tow .. they accommodated us admirably. The chef came out to discuss options and the food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was lovely and the pub was full of all ages.. and dogs! There was a live band playing (not loud enough to stop conversation) and we’d go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend 😄

Absolutely fabulous food, probably some of the best I have ever eaten. The Jerk rib is so tender! The King prawn curry is served in a scooped out pineapple and looks amazing. The bar serves a great selection of beers and wine. Definitely a place to return to.

The Horse Shoe Inn was a great find, so good we came back three times in a few days!! The Jamaican-Welsh food is absolutely delicious, the people were lovely and they even had a big projector for the rugby semi-finals. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful little pub beer close to the canal. Had many choices on the menu that would have been wonderful but had a chicken/leek pie and fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce that was the best ever! Both excellent choices. Cold beer and lots of locals.. Always a good sign!

Could not more highly recommend this great pub and restaurant - we ate here twice in our 3 day trip as the food was so good. It is definitely food that is worth waiting for as it is freshly prepared and delicious - the ladies that were taking our orders and the chef all stopped by for a chat on both occasions which was really nice. Good selection of well looked after ales at the bar is a bonus. If you are in the area give it a go.

Lovely pub serving well-kept ales and wine by the glass. Also delicious Jamaican food and excellent Sunday roasts. My only gripe is that in the dozen or so times I've visited, only once have I been served by a staff member who knows how to pour a pint of ale properly. Attached photo is £5 worth of chips and curry goat gravy. The gravy also contains chunks of curried goat as an added bonus.

Plenty of atmosphere, prefer adults only. Jamaican food, food is separate billing from the drinks. Plenty of choice and unusual food. Menu available on line. Reasonable price. Freshly prepared. Very popular in the evenings from Wednesday onwards. Recommend reserving a table. Order food at the bar. With the ales, it depends on what you like. Very friendly staff. Would recommend a visit.

Fantastic Welsh - Jamaican food that was really delicious and great beer. Only minor gripe is that the food and bar service are separate so didn't get to have a pint brought to the table whilst eating. Dog friendly and super friendly staff

Had a great experience here last Sunday, arrived following a full day walking the canal, very hot and bothered. Staff to the rescue with jugs of ice cold water, followed by excellent Sunday lunch. Evening in bar was lively and friendly, good room, great sleep and a marvelous continental style breakfast which makes a pleasant change. Returned that evening for final drink and collect our gear...…great pub, recommended 10/10.
