Met here for Sunday lunch with friends during the summer and had a great meal. Service was excellent, and the upstairs restaurant was spacious and airy. The quality of the meat was excellent. Could have done with an extra roast potato or two and the food being a bit hotter but otherwise can’t complain. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and we were impressed with the contemporary interior design. Would always recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Came here for dinner. Great veg/vegan menu. Only place in the region doing this. Service was very friendly and competent. We ate off the veg menus, mushroom scallop starter was fascinating. Tried the main of battered banana blossom and chips - remarkably similar texture to fish and chips. (However not the most nutritionally balanced meal) We also had some well made cocktails for aperitifs. Food a touch salty and a little dear for Wales. However it was very tasty and very much worth a visit. Setting was nice too, good atmosphere. There’s parking at their own private car park across the road.

Lovely experience. Attentive staff. Always on the go. Despite this, I did not get the chance to ask them how their evening was going. Apologies for that. I put this down to the very busy environment. Great location, spacious seating arrangements and warm inside. Good choices on the menu. The food was fresh and full of different flavours. Presentation was first class. Would recommend the scallops, pork loins and steak. Almost too much for me. However, this did not stop me having Eaton Mess for dessert. Good selection of red, white, rose and sparkling wines. Truly a lovely evening.

Great service, great food and a nice place to be! Staff attentive, tables well spaced. We discovered we could have taken our little dog with us. If you book they will seat you downstairs with your ‘hound’! I had the ‘Land and sea’ At least I think that was what it was called. Yummy, steak cooked as I like it with prawns (the big ones!) and mash, potato, vegetables, and a lovely seafood bisque…. Couldn’t manage my Eton mess after all that, so they put it in a nice box and I took it home.😋 will be going back there again for sure👍PS yes they do have a car park!

Had an amazing time here. Came for lunch on a Saturday. Super attentive, kind and obviously well trained staff. Great selection of beers on tap (Asahi, Corona and Peroni) and Champagne by the glass - what’s not to love? Food was genuinely lovely and tasted like they cared about it. I had the vegan fish and chips, my boyfriend had the classic. Batter was amazing on both, and it was more than enough to fill us up. Could not recommend this place enough.

I'm giving this 5 stars as although it was not perfect, it was very good and the staff were excellent. Firstly, I thought the food was on the pricey side but it was good. I had the crispy duck starter which was excellent. The focaccia starter had excellent oil, vinegar, dried tomatoes, olives, onions but was a bit light on the focaccia, we could have done with some more bread to mop up the oil. I then had the 9oz Rib-eye and it was excellent, thinner than some would serve it but a large piece of excellent steak served with chips and onion rings, £28 plus £4 for a pepper sauce. It was good though. My wife went for the Duck breast and that was a mistake. It was pretty tough and that can be a problem if duck breast is not sliced and marinated before cooking. Personally I like my duck breast slow cooked which is not always easy in a restaurant kitchen preparing food to order. We told the waitress and the plate was whipped away and replaced (at our request) with a full sized portion of the crispy duck starter. It was excellent and so 5 stars. The beers and glass of wine were also good and reasonably priced. A nice place to visit.

A lovely pub/restaurant that (alongside a traditional menu) has a vegan/vegetarian menu. As vegetarians we were delighted to have choice and when the food arrived - wow. Amazing food, good service and 100% recommend. We’re going back tonight for more!

Love, love, love this place. Amazing menu and unexpected quality food and wine. Great vegan options, dogs allowed, beautiful interiors, plenty of outdoor seating and free parking for guests. As well as the close proximity to the gorgeous Beacons, a short walk to beautiful LLangattock village and bustling Crickhowell, which are all well worth a visit.

Flawless experience, couldn't of rated it higher if I tried. There's were a few menu items missing but the choice was so nice it didn't matter. Also their red wine selection was genuinely well thought out and everything we tried was perfect

My husband and I came here for dinner. The service was flawless and we found the food to be perfect. To start, we shared the special of teriyaki plums, salad leaves, avocado, tofu and sunflower seeds (approx £9) (marvellous mix of flavours) I had the sea bream with asparagus, new potatoes and salsa verde (£19.95) (melt in the mouth) and my husband had the Mediterranean vegetable stew (very well flavoured) with 1 x slice foccacia (£14.95) and a side of smoked new potatoes (£4) For pudding, we shared sticky toffee pudding (approx £9). Light, contained dates. We were amazed by the choice on the vegetarian / vegan menu. The staff were attentive without making you feel rushed and they were exceedingly professional when dealing with disgruntled customers. It's not the cheapest place to eat but I feel well worth the money for the quality of food and service.

Greeted by the owner and staff were all friendly and made us welcome. Lunctime and husband ordered the fish n chips and OMG was soo fresh and beautifully battered and fell in love with the homemade tartare sauce! I ordered the double cheesebgurger and was juicy and filling! Availabile on a gluten free roll too ! Just need to work it off now with a long walk! Would have loved to stay for pudding but too full ! Definitely recommend 👌 Thankyou!

We stopped here for refreshments only. This pub and restaurant holds special memories for us and is refurbished beautifully with stone floors. Garden seating in front of the pub. Great menu choices. Friendly helpful staff with good knowledge of drinks and food. Although we haven't eaten here since it had new management seeing the food coming out was impressive especially the seafood pasta dish which I hope to try in the future. You must log your car registration at the bar to avoid a ticket. This is to make sure only patrons of the pub use the car park in this very popular tourist town. Love the place no doubt will be back. 😊 Return visit prebooked highly recommend the Ribesteak ❤️

The Vegan menu is fantastic. This is a hidden gem of a place, a far cry from a pub masquerading as a restaurant. The food is prepared in an open kitchen by decent chefs that know what they're doing and take pride in their work. Expect a warm welcome, reasonable prices and great food
