Plas Brondanw Cafe - Llanfrothen - Photo album

Absolutely gorgeous gardens and house with stunning views of the mountains. The staff were helpful and shared their knowledge. The cafe had a good range of food, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Will be returning in another season to see the garden again. Thanks
Really enjoyed my visit, the garden and views were fabulous, the cafe had delicious cakes, was very tempted by the beef sandwich, but didn't have enough room for it. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
The gardens at Plas Brondanw are those of Clough Williams Ellis, the architect most known for creating the Italianate village of Portmerion, which lies a few miles away. Plas Brondanw being the home of Sir Clough, his wife and family. The gardens are designed to provide a series of intimate a
Wonderful gardens surrounded by fantastic mountain views. Every turn a framed view. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
Fantastic garden and house, bit of a hidden gem. We really enjoyed our afternoon here and will return another day. The Folly tower was well worth the short walk up the hill.
Wonderful well worth the visit. Clough-Ellis has designed another amazing space not far from his fabulous Port Meirion. We will go back in spring to see the gardens in full bloom. No dogs allowed. Lovely little cafe serving some delicious cakes.
Gardens a tranquil delight, cafe serving excellent snacks, meals and a variety of drinks both hot and cold. The house was very interesting with various artworks including painting, pottery and textiles. To top it all of a walk in the woodland opposite to come across a colourful tin pagoda various ot
What a lovely hidden gem. £2 to park, there is a pay and display but the instructions are in Welsh. If it's any use, you only put in your last 3 letters on your number plate! £5.50 entry which you pay in the cafe. The gardens, although only small, are lovely and very well maintained and the views ar
Peaceful, well maintained if a little small, but therein lies the beauty. Virtually no plants (when I visited) as the gardens are modelled on the Italian Renaissance period with bold, bush, tree and stone statements with stunning vistas with of course topiary, lots of topiary. There are howev
Absolutely fantastic, it reminded me of Portmerion, a more boutique version. Simply beautiful 😍
A truly fantastic garden reflecting the quirky taste of the Williams-Ellis family with lovely touches throughout. Do make the effort to walk up to the wood and the folly and monument. Full of character and atmosphere.
Just a beautiful find. Perfect gardens with a small cafe. Plenty of parking. An honesty box on the back of the gateway in if the cage is shut.
A real hidden gem, grade 1 listed garden and a super folly tower which you can climb to the very top with the most amazing 360°views
Very nice place to visit staff very friendly and well informed we had a nice walk around the house and grounds
This is a charming property with stunning views. The cafe is wonderful with great meals to suit all tastes. I’m going back to try the cakes next time they looked yummy ! Do visit the house as well. Altogether a great day out.
Very pleasant food at the café (and excellent service). Splendid views from terrace. Didn't go into the gardens, but a friend, who did, loved it. The house itself is amazing - a real feel for the Williams-Ellis home and a chance to see a brilliant book collection.
Stunning gardens and setting for a house, with fantastic views of the nearby mountains. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, making for a memorable visit.
Superb gardens. Great variety and history. Buy a guide book when paying for entry for the best experience. It starts no dogs so please bear that in mind. Really a very experience. Cafe and toilets available.
