Have recently been here twice for the carvery and it was gorgeous! The new management Rhian and Alister are lovely and the pub has such a lovely cozy atomosphere! Will definitely be visiting again soon.
Fantastic village pub, lovely welcoming landlords. Food was great, as was the felinfoel stout.
A warm welcome from staff and locals. A varied menu which consisted of good home cooked food. Excellent value for money and really tasty, including the vegetarian options.
I would highly recommend this pub as a friendly informal one serving really good meals

A brilliant pub at the center of its community having hostedany key events of the village from a reunion of family to weddings a long histroy of my family run through this pub cant ask for a better country pub

If you are staying anywhere near don't miss the Sunday lunch, all home made and freshly prepared, but you will have to book to get in it's that tasty !!! They also do a roast on a Wednesday evening but be worth checking that's still current. The menu is also home made fresh cooked food so certainly

Went to the Square and Compass for the Wednesday Carvery 12 midday to 2.00. This is a very homely pub and the Carvery was lovely. I had the Roast Pork with apple sauce and lovely fresh vegetables of Cauliflower, Carrots, Peas, Roast
and Mashed Potatoes with home made gravy. They also have a Dessert
