spent a lovely few hours on the top of the Great Orme. We had a pasty and chips meal and a tea and coffee pasty was very tasty and the portion sizes were just right. we're to full to try one of the selection of cakes but decided to try before we left. After we had visited the visitor centre and enjoyed the scenery we went back and got another hot drink and the biggest egg custard wed ever had it was lovely. The gift shop had a lovely range of gifts and the whole place was spotlessly clean staff were friendly and efficient.

We went up the great orme to have breakfast on our visit to Llandudno. They didn’t start serving food till 12 however we had absolutely massive scones which were delicious! Full to the brim with amazing cream! We had some tea too which was served in to go cups, would’ve been nice to have some mugs though, my partner had a sausage roll which was very tasty. The atmosphere through in the bar area was great, lovely and quite and had a fab retro vintage vibe.

We popped in here after travelling up the Great Orme via the Tramway. The cafe was clean and cosy, and I have to say served the best hot chocolate and decaf cappuccino that we had during our whole holiday in North Wales. Well done to all at The Captain's Table Cafe.

The Captains Table, one of the highest cafes in Wales. Not as far up as Snowdon of course but views are just as good.

There are some seats inside but we decided to have tea and fudge cake in the car. The hot chocolate was a little tricky to walk to the car but was delicious. The cream was proper cream rather than canned cream which was a nice change.
The waitress who served me was really friendly and helpful, she even helped me carry out the drinks to the person waiting outside with the dog.

We only popped in for a snack - I had a chocolate milkshake and chocolate flapjack and my partner had a cappuchino and pack of ginger biscuits. The food and drink were very nice, not extraordinary but we sat out and the view was gorgeous! Only problem with this place was the queuing area as it was weirdly set out and you could end up waiting in a queue of people waiting for food if you just want a drink and vice versa.

Great place to visit yes, queue but wrll worth it quick service polite and helpful. Food was good and prices compatible to other food outlets. Really enjoyed tram, the copper mine and views with my grandson. Totally recommend.

I went to visit this cafe on Sunday 29th August 2021 and I just want to congratulate the staff that were there working. Even though it was very busy with a long queue of people wanting food the service of these marvellous people was excellent. I personally feel they deserve a reward for doing their job other than just their wages.

This cafe is situated at the top of the Great Orme, known as the summit. So after your walk up to the top there's a place to grab cakes and other snacks along with hot drinks and bottled water. There is a pay and display car park situated very close by so this cafe is reachable even if you only want to do a quick and easy walk.
There's both tables inside and outside so you can either cool down or warm up depending on the weather. The views surrounding the cafe are absolutely stunning.
There's mini golf and a decent sized play area to keep children entertained as well.
Prices are a little steep but due to its location, I wouldn't really expect to find a bargain.

I recently took the kids up to the summit of the Great Orme and having taken in the views and played in the little park there we headed to the cafe for a quick drink before heading home. Unfortunately we got there just after a tram had arrived as well as a minibus tour so there was a huge queue and all the tables were taken. We decided to give it ten minutes for things to quiten down then tried again. Having got into the queue alarm bells started to ring as we passed a display of cakes. The cakes looked very nice but were priced at £3+ each!!!! I looked up at the price list on the wall and saw that small fizzy drinks were priced at £1.70 each!!!! Now this might be ok if the premises didn't have the same ambience as a works canteen or at the very least offered the same sort of views you get from standing outside. Unfortunately only a small number of tables are adjacent to the windows so most of the tables only offer views of the other mugs queuing up to be fleeced. I decided I didn't fancy paying £3.40 for two small cups of pop when I could head back into town and buy two 500ml bottles of pop for a quid in Poundland so we opted to give the Captain's Table a miss. I'd very strongly advise visiting the Orme summit (just pick a clear day) but I'd also strongly advise taking a picnic unless you really want to have to take out a second mortgage just to buy a cup of tea.
